  • Why is my path not working in zshell?

    This is obviously really simple, but not if you don't know the answer :) I'm doing this in my .zsh PATH="~/scripts:$PATH" and if I do echo $PATH it appears as the first thing in the path. Yet this directory isn't included in the executable path (nor for tab-completion). What am I doing wrong? ls ~/scripts shows the directory as expected.

    I have bash script which has lots of echo statements and also I aliased echo to echo -e both in .bash_profile and .bashrc, so that new lines are printed properly for a statement like echo 'Hello\nWorld' the output should be Hello World but the output I am getting is Hello\nWorld I even tried using shopt -s expand_aliases in the script, it doesn't help I am running my script as bash /scripts/scriptnm.sh; if I run it as . /scripts/scriptnm.sh I am getting the desired output...

  • Configuring HP Proliant iLO using hponcfg

    I am configuring an iLO using hponcfg by logging into the machine remotely and running hponcfg with scripts Mod_Directory.xml and then with Mod_Network.xml. I am enabling the DHCP on the device. But after the above scripts are executed successfully and upon rebooting the iLO, it shows the IP address to be 0.0.0.0. What is missing here, so that the iLO gets an IP from DHCP automatically after configuration?

  • Autohotkey numpad mouse script, events propagating to some programs, but not others

    I have an issue when trying out one of the example scripts in the autohotkey docs: http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/scripts/NumpadMouse.htm When a program like Notepad++ gets focus, the script does not seem to receive key events, and instead the key events seem to be consumed by Notepad++. Is there a modification to the script that would allow it to receive the events no matter what window was open?

  • jqGrid - Problems opening in jquery tabs (on Firefox and Google Chrome)

    I have developed a very simple MVC app to test out trirand's jqGrid for MVC. The app opens a jqgrid in a jquery tab group and everything is ok with IE. However when I use Firefox jqgrid only opens occasionaly in the first tab (but not under any other tab), and in Chrome my jqgrids dont appear to open under any tab of the group. I'm a bit of an MVC newbie (and have only been testing jqgrid out for a few days), but I know my users will want to use different browsers. Trirand have not come back with any answer so wondered if anyone else had had a similar issue. I have really just implemented jqgrid as per the controllers and model in the sample application on the Trirand site, and then combined it with a straightforward jquery tab group.   • Base URL in ASP.net Master Pages with virtual Directories

    Hi All, I have an ASP.net master page. In this master, I have all my css and javascript files defined. I also have a few images and a few buttons and hyperlinks. All the urls are all declared as relative ie "/scripts/ian.js" Everything works fine if this site is the root website, but I need it to work in a virtual directory. My problem is when I place this website in a virtual directory under a root site, all my links are pointing to the root site. so my links point to www.root.com/scripts/ian.js but it should be pointing to www.root.com/virtualDir/scripts/ian.js I thought the Base Href tag in the header would help, but so far it does not seem to be helping in anyway. All the links are still pointing to the root website when i hover over them. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome. Thanks

  • onload Event in embedded SVG not calling function in attached script. Scope Issue?

    Hi So I've got an XHTML page with a script - not inline > <script type="text/javascript" > src="../global/js/scripts.js"></script> and an embedded (I tried embed and object, same behavior) SVG document with a onload="CheckIfLoaded(evt)" attribute. The problem is firefox doesn't call the CheckIfLoaded() function in scripts.js. Firebug gives me "CheckIfLoaded() is not defined" with no reference to any line numbers. I can't find any information regarding the scope of javascript functions with respect to embedded content. Curiously, it works fine in IE. I could of course add a reference to the script into the SVG file as well but I believe that will result in the client downloading the scripts file twice and in addition I have 1000+ svg files and I'd really rather not add one line to all of them, although I suppose I could write a batch file or whatever if I have to.   • In linux, is there a way to set a default permission for newly created files and directories under a

    I have a bunch of long-running scripts and applications that are storing output results in a directory shared amongst a few users. I would like a way to make sure that every file and directory created under this shared directory automatically had u=rwxg=rwxo=r permissions. I know that I could use umask 006 at the head off my various scripts, but I don't like that approach as many users write their own scripts and may forget to set the umask themselves. I really just want the filesystem to set newly created files and directories with a certain permission if it is in a certain folder. Is this at all possible? Update: I think it can be done with POSIX ACLs, using the Default ACL functionality, but it's all a bit over my head at the moment. If anybody can explain how to use Default ACLs it would probably answer this question nicely.

  • Access to Apache::DBI from DBI

    Is it possible to access a Apache::DBI database handle from a perl script (that isn't running under mod_perl). What I am looking for is database pooling for my perl scripts, I have a fair number of database sources (oracle/mysql) and a growing number of scripts. Some ideas like SQLRelay, using Oracle10XE with database links and pooling, and or convert all scripts to SOAP calls, etc are becoming more and more viable. But if there was a mechanism for reusing Apache::DBI I could fight this a bit. I have no non-perl requirements, so we don't have a php/jdbc implementation or similar to deal with. Thanks
