    I have a "global variable" XML schema in TIBCO BusinessWorks. It's simpler than it looks - basically just a single repeatable node. Image: Tibco globals. (old URL redacted) Various processes in the system can update this list. Checking to see if they are listed is easy: $GetVariable/subscriber-list/subscriber = $_processContext/ns:ProcessContext/ProcessId Adding themselves to the list is pretty easy too, using a Set Variable activity (see bottom half of image) But how can a process remove itself from the list? I'm sure there's a type of mapping I can use to filter out the node I want and let the rest through?

    I have a class Graph with two lists types namely nodes and edges I have a function List<int> GetNodesInRange(Graph graph, int Range) when I get these parameters I need an algorithm that will go through the graph and return the list of nodes only as deep (the level) as the range. The algorithm should be able to accommodate large number of nodes and large ranges. Atop this, should I use a similar function List<int> GetNodesInRange(Graph graph, int Range, int selected) I want to be able to search outwards from it, to the number of nodes outwards (range) specified. So in the first function, I expect it to return the nodes placed in the blue box. The other function, if I pass the nodes as in the graph with a range of 1 and it starts at node 5, I want it to return the list of nodes that satisfy this criteria (placed in the orange box)

  • Questions regarding ordering of catch statements in catch block - compiler specific or language stan

    I am currently using Visual Studio Express C++ 2008, and have some questions about catch block ordering. Unfortunately, I could not find the answer on the internet so I am posing these questions to the experts. I notice that unless catch (...) is placed at the end of a catch block, the compilation will fail with error C2311. For example, the following would compile: catch (MyException) { } catch (...) { } while the following would not: catch (...) { } catch (MyException) { } a. Could I ask if this is defined in the C++ language standard, or if this is just the Microsoft compiler being strict? b. Do C# and Java have the same rules as well? c. As an aside, I have also tried making a base class and a derived class, and putting the catch statement for the base class before the catch statement for the derived class. This compiled without problems. Are there no language standards guarding against such practice please?

The second df contains only the "first day of each month" forecasted values. I would like to substitute the values from the second df into the first one. In other words, the "first day of each month" values in the first df will be substituted for the "first day of each month" values from the second df. I tried to write an lapply loop that substitutes the values and was only trying to use match function. But I failed. I could not find the similar question at StackOverflow either... Greatful for any suggestions!

    I have a large textfile, which has linebreaks at column 80 due to console width. Many of the lines in the textfile are not 80 characters long, and are not affected by the linebreak. In pseudocode, this is what I want: Iterate through lines in file If line matches this regex pattern: ^(.{80})\n(.+) Replace this line with a new string consisting of match.group(1) and match.group(2). Just remove the linebreak from this line. If line doesn't match the regex, skip! Maybe I don't need regex to do this?

I can remove a selected item if I click on the space around the x button but if I go straight to clicking the button before clicking the item it will only erase the last selected item. ideas?

Below is my code which produces an error(can't implicitly convert a generic list of anonymous types to a generic list of type TBLPROMOTION): List<TBLPROMOTION> promotionInfo = null; promotionInfo = (from p in matches orderby p.PROMOTION_NM descending select new { p.EFFECTIVE_DT, p.EXPIRE_DT, p.IS_ACTIVE, p.PROMOTION_DESC, p.PROMOTION_ID, p.PROMOTION_NM }).ToList(); What would be the best way to accomplish this.     Simply put I want what http://www.reddit.com/ and http://news.ycombinator.com/ have to the left of every link. A numerated link starting with 1 and continuing to the next page by means of pagination.     Hi, I tried doing a mvn dependency:tree and I get a tree of dependencies. My question is, My project depends on many modules which internally depends on many spring artifacts. There are a few version clashes. I want to upgrade all spring related libraries to say the latest one (2.6.x or above). What is the preferred way to do this? Should I declare all the deps spring-context, spring-support (and 10 other artifacts) in my pom.xml and point them to 2.6.x ? Is there any other better method ?     Hi All I might be vaguing out here but I'm looking for a nice place to put set based helper operations in linq so I can do things like; db.Selections.ClearTemporary() which does something like db.DeleteAllOnSubmit(db.Selections.Where(s => s.Temporary)) Since I can figure out how to extend Table<Selection> the best I can do is create a static method in partial class of Selection (similar to Ruby) but I have to pass in the datacontext like; Selection.ClearTemporary(MyDataContext) This kind of sucks because I have two conventions for doing set based operations and I have to pass the data context to the static class. I've seen other people recommending piling helper methods into a partial of the datacontext like; myDataContext.ClearTemporarySelections(); But I feel this makes the dc a dumping ground for in-cohesive operations. Surely I'm missing something. I hope so. What's the convention? TIA

I'm trying to prevent a user logging in twice. So if I call: MembershipUser membershipUser = Membership.GetUser(userName); if (membershipUser.IsOnline == true) { // log this user out so we can log them in again FormsService.SignOut(); } calling: FormsService.SignOut(); has no bearing on the context of the user say, with another webbrowser who is logged in already??

  • C++ wrapper for posix and linux specific functions

    Hi Do you know about any good library wrapping posix and linux functions and structures ( eg. sockets or file descriptors ) into C++ classes? For example I'm thinking about a base FileDescriptor class and some inheriting classes ( unix sockets etc ) with methods like write, read or even some syscalls ( sendfile, splice ) - all throwing exceptions instead of setting errno. Or some shared memory class etc. I can't seem to find anything like that and by now I consider writing it myself, as I often have to write a C++ app for linux and either use C functions ( painful error checking ), or wrap them myself every time.

    Hey Guys, This question seems ridiculously easy, but I seem to be stuck. Lets say we have a table "Books" Each Book, has a name, description, and a status. Lets say I want to create link in the show view, that when clicked, solely changes the status (to "read") for example. So far, I've tried adding a block in the controller, that says: def read @book = Book.find(params[:id]) @book.status = "Read" @book.update_attributes(params[:book]) respond_to do |format| format.html { redirect_to :back} format.xml { render :xml => @book } end end Then I've added a link to the view that is like: <%= link_to "Read", read_book_path(@book), :method = :put % This isn't working at all. I have added it to my routes, but it doesn't seem to matter. Any help would be great! Thanks! -Elliot EDIT: Forgot to add I'm getting a NoMethodError: undefined method `read_book_path'

    I am new to jQuery and I have the following problem. My project has say 2 pages, 1.JSP and 2.html. Now I want to pick selected data from 2.html and use it on 1.JSP. Now this was achieved very easily using .load but I want the data to be present in a JavaScript variable rather than put it on the page (div tags, etc.), so that I can work upon that data (modify or add to database).   • Visual Studio .NET 2003 - Ignore Specific Library for libcmt vs libcmtd

    Hi, I have a template VS .NET 2003 project, which colleagues copy and customise when developing their software. It appears the template was altered a while back to set the IgnoreSpecificLibrary property to have libcmt.lib for both release and debug builds (i.e. for both release and debug, the build should ignore libcmt.lib in the linker). Some projects based on this have since been built, with the release build pulling in libcmtd.lib (evident by looking through the project .map file) which appears to have caused some runtime issues (i.e. a dialog window being flashed up as though a breakpoint had been set). Does setting IgnoreSpecificLibrary to exclude libcmt.lib automatically make the project link against libcmtd.lib? What is weird is that building the template (with the incorrect setting) links against libcmt.lib whereas some of the customised projects (though not all) link against libcmtd.lib. Any ideas?
