  • ADO Access Tab button

    Hello I moved my access apllication from DAO into ADO connection. It works better but I am encountering a problem when I enter a value in a form's field then I push the tab button the screen takes me to the first fields of the form and I lose my activecontrol which is the control of the field in which i enter the value. N.B.: If I clicked the cursor using the mouse after applying the value in the specified field, it works properly... Any help will highly appreciated

    I've been handed a rather large, old, and crusty Access 2000/2003 database to clean up. I'll need to rename a number of tables and fields, but need to do so in a way that doesn't break existing queries. (Fortunately, there are no macros, forms, or reports to worry about.) I've heard there are some commercial tools to make this job easier, but only found one (http://www.rickworld.com/products.html). Can anyone recommend this software, or any alternatives?

    [Participant Table [1994]] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER. The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "I:\My Documents\Flamm Consulting\Migrations.accdb" failed with error code 0xC0209303. There may be error messages posted before this with more information on why the AcquireConnection method call failed. Frankly, I'm confused about how SSIS should connect to Access 2007 - the UI just isn't very friendly - there's no file browser, for example. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my install - missing drivers, etc.

    I've an access database table with 3 fields : Purchase date Warranty time Warranty expiry Warranty time has 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 in it which corresponds to years. How can I auto-populate the 'Warranty expiry' field (which is a date field) by looking at the 'Purchase date' and then adding on the 'Warranty time' (warranty time will be 1 = 365 days, 2 = 730 days, etc)?

    I am attempting to sum over a detail grouping on a specific field in Microsoft Access, and assign that sum to a field in the general grouping. When I try to run the report, I get an "Invalid Column Name" error with the detail field getting the error. Has anyone previously encountered this?     I have an access report that generates 36505 pages (un filtered, and about half of each page is taken up by group headers and page headers) , though the footer at the bottom of the report page says "36505 of -29031". This looks like an overflow problem maybe, though I'm confused how it got the current page number of the last page OK, but failed to get total page count. Has anyone dealt with this before?
