  • Tomcat 7 maven plugin additional context on tomcat7:run

    - by pater
    When I run my web app inside eclipse using tomcat 7 maven plugin, I want an additional context to be deployed to tomcat. On the production enviroment this context is mapped to a directory outside tomcat dir using a context configuration <Context path="/userimages" docBase="C:/test/userimages"> </Context> And by this way is available in http://wwww.myhost.com/userimages/test.jpg How I achive the same on the development enviroment of the webapp (eclipse, tomcat7 maven plugin)? In other words I want the contents of that folder to be accessible through http://localhost:8080/userimages or http://localhost:8080/myapp/userimages

  • Cannot Call WordPress Plugin Files Under wp-content

    - by Volomike
    I have a client who has many blog customers. Each of these WordPress blogs calls a plugin that provides a product link. The way that link is composed looks like this: {website}/wp-content/plugins/prodx/product?id=432320 This works fine on all blogs except two. On those two, when you try to call the URL, you get a 404. So, I disabled all plugins except prodx and reverted the theme to default (Kubrick), thinking perhaps a plugin intercept with add_action() API was doing this, such as intercepting URLs and redirecting them. However, this did not help. So, I upgraded the WordPress to the latest version. Again, didn't fix. So, I checked permissions, comparing with a blog that worked just fine. Again, didn't fix. So I replaced the .htaccess, using one from a working blog. Again, didn't fix. So I replaced all the files using some from a working blog that was identical to this one, and then restored the wp-config.php file back so that it talked to the right blog database. Again, didn't fix. Again I checked permissions meticulously, comparing to a perfectly working blog. Again, didn't fix. So, I created a test.php that looks like so: <?php print_r($_GET); echo "hello world"; I then copied it into another plugin folder and used my browser to get to it -- again, 404. So I copied it into the root of wp-content/plugins and tried to call it there -- again, 404. So I copied it into wp-content -- again, 404. Last, I copied it into the root of the WordPress blog website, and this time, it worked! Doesn't make sense. I started to think that perhaps something was going on with /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf for this customer, but the only thing I saw different in their for this customer was the IP address was different than the customer's blog that worked. Each customer gets their own IP in this environment my client has built. My client sysop is baffled too. What do you think is going on? Is there something wrong in the WP database for this customer? Is there something wrong in httpd.conf?

  • JQuery Validation using Remote posts empty data to webservice

    - by user319721
    I'm using the JQuery Validation plugin. I'm using the remote option to make a call to my webservice to check if a company name exists. The webservice only accepts JSON data. I pass the data to the webservice from the Company Input Field in my Form as follows: data: "{'company': '" + $('#Company').val() + "'}" But this always returns a blank value for company so the response is {'company':''} i.e. correct JSON but missing the Company Input Field value. Can anyone shed some light on why I always get a blank value here? Thanks for the help, Ciaran

  • jQuery slider not working in Wordpress plugin

    - by Matt Facer
    I've written a plugin for wordpress and I want to use a slider on my page. In it's most basic form (now) to test, I have the for the slider on my page <div id="wpge-slider"></div> then in the plugin, I have my init action add_action('init', 'wpge_init' ); function wpge_init() { wp_enqueue_script('jquery'); wp_enqueue_script('jquery-ui-core'); wp_enqueue_script('wpge_search_results', get_bloginfo('wpurl') . '/wp-content/plugins/myplugintest/js/wpge_search_results.js', array('jquery'), '1.0'); } then in my own javascript page, I have jQuery(document).ready(function($) { $("#wpge-slider").slider(); }); Everything (to me) looks ok, and the scripts ARE being called in the header. I can see them on the page... yet the slider is not showing. Can anyone see where I'm going wrong?!

  • jQuery: extend plugin question

    - by Fuxi
    hi all, i'm having this simple plugin code: (function ($) { $.fn.tWeb = function () { var me = this; me.var1 = "foo"; this.done = function() { return this; } return this.done(); }; })(jQuery); var web = new jQuery.fn.tWeb(); alert(web.var1); works nice - alert(web.var1) is giving me "foo". my question: would it be possible extending this plugin by simply including another .js which has more code? eg. that i could ask for web.var2 i previously used a prototype function and could "extend" it by simply adding another js-include which refered to it eg. like tWeb.prototype.newfunction = function() how could this be done with jQuery? thx

  • Limiting what a .net plugin can access

    - by David Hogue
    I have a web application that can load plugins through reflection. It currently uses Assembly.LoadFrom() and Activator.CreateInstance() to get this done. Right now plugins are loaded into the same AppDomain and have access to anything in my app and anything my app could access. What I'm looking for is a way to limit what classes and methods the plugin can access for security purposes. I want to have all of my classes and methods throw an exception when called unless they are whitelisted. I'd be whitelisting basically all the functions in an API class and a few data transfer objects. I also don't want the plugin to be able to access the filesystem or the database on it's own. I think I can do that with trust levels in a separate AppDomain though. Does anyone out there have any good ideas or resources? Is this something that could be done with Code Access Security or the new Security-Transparent Code features in .net 4?

  • How can I use JSONP to download client-side javascript objects?

    - by Alex Mcp
    I'm trying to get client-side javascript objects saved as a file locally. I'm not sure if this is possible. The basic architecture is this: Ping an external API to get back a JSON object Work client-side with that object, and eventually have a "download me" link This link sends the data to my server, which processes it and sends it back with a mime type application/json, which (should) prompt the user to download the file locally. Right now here are my pieces: Server Side Code <?php $data = array('zero', 'one', 'two', 'testing the encoding'); $json = json_encode($data); //$json = json_encode($_GET['']); //eventually I'll encode their data, but I'm testing header("Content-type: application/json"); header('Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="backup.json"'); echo $_GET['callback'] . ' (' . $json . ');'; ?> Relevant Client Side Code $("#download").click(function(){ var json = JSON.stringify(collection); //serializes their object $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: "http://www.myURL.com/api.php?callback=?", //this is the above script dataType: "jsonp", contentType: 'jsonp', data: json, success: function(data){ console.log( "Data Received: " + data[3] ); } }); return false; }); Right now when I visit the api.php site with Firefox, it prompts a download of download.json and that results in this text file, as expected: (["zero","one","two","testing the encoding"]); And when I click #download to run the AJAX call, it logs in Firebug Data Received: testing the encoding which is almost what I'd expect. I'm receiving the JSON string and serializing it, which is great. I'm missing two things: The Actual Questions What do I need to do to get the same prompt-to-download behavior that I get when I visit the page in a browser (much simpler) How do I access, server-side, the json object being sent to the server to serialize it? I don't know what index it is in the GET array (silly, I know, but I've tried almost everything)

  • Drupal JSON POST from PhoneGap

    - by abritez
    I am trying to send a POST request to Drupal's Services module & JSON_Server module, however I am getting { "#error": true, "#data": "Invalid method " } Since PhoneGap runs html files from locally on the phone, should i need to worry about JSONP. The issue I have with that is that I must POST data, and JSONP only allows for GET. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks! //SEND REQUEST AND CALLBACK FUNCTION var req; DrupalService.prototype.request = function(dataObject, callback){ req = false; var url = DRUPAL_JSON_URL; var params = "data="+dataObject; try { req = new XMLHttpRequest(); } catch(e) { req = false; } if(req) { req.onreadystatechange = function() {//Call a function when the state changes. if(req.readyState == 4 && req.status == 200) { console.log(" "+req.responseText); } } req.open("POST", url, false); req.send(params); } }

  • Android compatibility with Restlet/JSON/Jackson

    - by Cookie
    Hi there, I'm currently working on a webservice-client for Android. I'm using a Java client library which provides an abstraction for interaction with the service. The client library works on normal machines. However, when I use the classes in my Android project, some calls don't return a result on Android, the background-service stops working at the first of those commands. Wireshark shows a tcp exchange, the server gets the requests. There is no exceptions or anything. Something in the serialization/deserialization semms not to work. I'm using the newest version of Jackson libraries (1.5.3) and the restlet jar in the android edition. Is there any known problems with Jackson and Android? Which code and libraries are compatible with Android? Thanks in advance.

  • JSON / JSONP in JQuery

    - by dotnetgeek
    Hello. I am trying to figure out why my $.getJSON method does not seem to be working but the $.ajax works just fine. First, here is my getJSON call: $.getJSON("http://localhost:1505/getServiceImageList?callback=loadImagesInSelect", loadImagesInSelect); You can see I have tried added the callback parameter directly to the query string (also tried it not on string) and I added a reference to the callback method defined in my js file. Here is the $.ajax call which works just fine: function getImages() { $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: $('#txt_registry_url').val(), dataType: "jsonp", success:loadImagesInSelect , error:function (xhr, ajaxOptions, thrownError) { alert(xhr.status); alert(thrownError); } }); } In this example the url pulled from the text box is the same as in the straight call to getJSON. When the method call completes, the successMethod is called and everything processes just fine. While I am cool with using the later of the two methods, the docs make it seem that the getJSON is the preferred shorthand way of doing things. Can anyone please explain what I am missing on the shorthand method to make it all work? Thanks in advance.

  • adding to json property that may or may not exist yet

    - by mmcgrail
    let say i want to do this var dasboard = {}; $('.check').click(function(){ $(this).toggleClass("active").siblings().slideToggle('slow', function() { dashboard['pages']['pagename'][$(this).closest('li').attr("id")]['show'] = $(this).is(":hidden") ? 'collapsed' : 'expanded'; }); } i get an error saying 'dashboard.pages is undefined' is there away to dynamically add 'pages' and the children that follow without having to do the work of checking to see if it is defined first then if its not doing dashboard['pages'] = {}; because sometimes they may already exist and I don't want to have to inspect the tree first i just want to build the branches as needed

  • Null date reference when passing json to MVC Controller

    - by Jake
    I am building an event system that posts data to a google calendar. I am using jquery 1.4.2, fullcalendar 1.4.5, and asp.net MVC 2. I am using a jquery ui modal dialog for the entry system. Jquery ui datepicker for the from and to fields. Select boxes for the time fields. I have tried both string and DateTime formats in the GCalEvent Class for startDate, startTime, endDate and endTime. I am receiving a null reference with the dates passed to the controllers Action method. var gcalevent = { 'eventID': $('#eventID').val(), 'eventURL': $('#eventURL').val(), 'date': { 'startDate': $("#from").val(), 'startTime': $('#eventStartHour option:selected').val() + ":" + $('#eventStartMin option:selected').val() + $('#eventStartAMPM option:selected').val(), 'endDate': $('#to').val(), 'endTime': $('#eventEndHour option:selected').val() + ":" + $('#eventEndMin option:selected').val() + $('#eventEndAMPM option:selected').val() }, 'allDay': $('#chkAllDay').attr('checked'), 'where': $('#eventWhere').val(), 'eventTitle': $('#eventTitle').val(), 'eventDescription': $('#eventDescription').val() }; $.post("/home/AddRepeatingEvent", gcalevent, addEventCallback); public void AddNonRepeatingEvent(Models.GCalEvent gcalevent) { IGCalRepository _gcalrepo; GCalRepository gcalrepo = new GCalRepository(); _gcalrepo = gcalrepo; //_gcalrepo.AddEvent(gcalevent); GetGoogleEventURL(gcalevent.eventID.ToString()); } public enum Days { Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat } public enum DefaultCalendarView { Month, Day, Week } public enum OrderType { First, Second, Third, Fourth, Last } public abstract class RepeatBaseType { } public class GCalEvent { public string title { get; set; } public string description { get; set; } public string where { get; set; } public bool repeated { get; set; } public bool allDay { get; set; } public DefaultCalendarView defaultCalendarView { get; set; } public GCalEventDate date { get; set; } public RepeatBaseType repeatType { get; set; } public string eventID { get; set; } public string eventURL { get; set; } } public class GCalEventDate { public string startDate { get; set; } public string startTime { get; set; } public string endDate {get;set;} public string endTime {get;set;} } internal class Duration { int Days { get; set; } int Hours { get; set; } int Minutes { get; set; } } public class RepeatedDaily: RepeatBaseType { public int Days { get; set; } } public class RepeatedWeekly : RepeatBaseType { public int Weeks { get; set; } public Days[] days { get; set; } } public class RepeatedMonthly : RepeatBaseType { public int Months { get; set; } public RepeatedMonthlyType repeatedMonthlyType { get; set; } } public class RepeatedYearly : RepeatBaseType { public int Years {get;set;} } public abstract class RepeatedMonthlyType { } public class RepeatedMonthlyDayOfWeek : RepeatedMonthlyType { public Days[] DayOfWeek { get; set; } public OrderType orderType { get; set; } } public class RepeatedMonthlyDayOfMonth : RepeatedMonthlyType { public DateTime DayOfMonth { get; set; } } This is the first time i am attempting to use abastract classes. Thank you for your help.

  • jQuery JSON encode set of input values

    - by gurun8
    I need tp serialize a group of input elements but I can't for the life of me figure out this simple task. I can successfully iterate through the targeted inputs using: $("#tr_Features :input").each(function() { ... } Here's my code, that doesn't work: var features = new Array(); $("#tr_Features :input").each(function() { features += {$(this).attr("name"): $(this).val()}; } Serializing the entire form won't give me what I need. The form has much more than this subset of inputs. This seems like it should be a pretty straightforward task but apparently programming late into a Friday afternoon isn't a good thing. If it's helpful, here's the form inputs I'm targeting: <table cellspacing="0" border="0" id="TblGrid_list" class="EditTable" cellpading="0"> <tbody><tr id="tr_Features" class="FormData" rowpos="1"> <td class="CaptionTD ui-widget-content">Cable Family</td> <td id="td_Features" class="DataTD ui-widget-content" style="white-space: pre;">&nbsp;<input type="text" value="" id="feature_id:8" name="feature_id:8"></td> </tr> <tr id="tr_Features" class="FormData" rowpos="1"> <td class="CaptionTD ui-widget-content">Material</td> <td id="td_Features" class="DataTD ui-widget-content" style="white-space: pre;">&nbsp;<input type="text" value="" id="feature_id:9" name="feature_id:9"></td> </tr> <tr id="tr_Features" class="FormData" rowpos="1"> <td class="CaptionTD ui-widget-content">Thread Size</td> <td id="td_Features" class="DataTD ui-widget-content" style="white-space: pre;">&nbsp;<input type="text" value="" id="feature_id:10" name="feature_id:10"></td> </tr> <tr id="tr_Features" class="FormData" rowpos="1"> <td class="CaptionTD ui-widget-content">Attachment Style</td> <td id="td_Features" class="DataTD ui-widget-content" style="white-space: pre;">&nbsp;<input type="text" value="" id="feature_id:11" name="feature_id:11"></td> </tr> <tr id="tr_Features" class="FormData" rowpos="1"> <td class="CaptionTD ui-widget-content">Feature</td> <td id="td_Features" class="DataTD ui-widget-content" style="white-space: pre;">&nbsp;<input type="text" value="" id="feature_id:12" name="feature_id:12"></td> </tr> <tr id="tr_Features" class="FormData" rowpos="1"> <td class="CaptionTD ui-widget-content">Comments</td> <td id="td_Features" class="DataTD ui-widget-content" style="white-space: pre;">&nbsp;<input type="text" value="" id="feature_id:13" name="feature_id:13"></td> </tr> </tbody></table>

    I have a method with the following signature: public ActionResult RenderFamilyTree(string name, Dictionary<string, string> children) I'm trying to call it from javascript using jQuery like this: $('#div_render').load( "<%= Url.Action("RenderFamilyTree") %>", { 'name': 'Raul', [ {'key':'key1','value':'value1'}, {'key':'key2','value':'value2'} ] }, function() { alert('Loaded'); } ); Am I missing something to get this to work?
