  • MetadataException: Unable to load the specified metadata resource

    All of a sudden I keep getting a MetadataException on instantiating my generated ObjectContext class. The connectionstring in App.Config looks correct - hasn't changed since last it worked - and I've tried regenerating a new model (edmx-file) from the underlying database with no change. Anyone have any... ideas? Edit: I haven't changed any properties, I haven't changed the name of any output assemblies, I haven't tried to embed the EDMX in the assembly. I've merely waited 10 hours from leaving work until I got back. And then it wasn't working anymore. I've tried recreating the EDMX. I've tried recreating the project. I've even tried recreating the database, from scratch. No luck, whatsoever. I'm truly stumped.

  • Unable to set maxReceivedMessageSize through web.config

    Hello there, I have now investigated the 400 - BadRequest code for the last two hours. A lot of sugestions goes towards ensuring the bindingConfiguration attribute is set correctly, and in my case, it is. Now, I need YOUR help before destroying the building i am in :-) I run a WCF RestFull service (very lightweight, using this resource for inspiration: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/dd315413.aspx) which (for now) accepts an XmlElement (POX) provided through the POST verb. I am currently ONLY using Fiddler's request builder before implementing a true client (as this is mixed environments). When I do this for XML smaller than 65K, it works fine - larger, it throws this exception: The maximum message size quota for incoming messages (65536) has been exceeded. To increase the quota, use the MaxReceivedMessageSize property on the appropriate binding element.   • Unable to regress web application from AJAX Control Toolkit 3.0 back to 1.0

    I was recently asked to stop using the Ajax Control Toolkit 3.0 in my application and need to go back to 1.0. Luckily I only have one calendar control which I don't believe will be affected by this. I have removed the reference to the 3.0 .dll and added a reference to the 1.0 .dll.   • Windows Sharepoint Services - FullTextSqlQuery Document library Unable to find items created by SYST

    We have created an ASP.NET web app that upload files to WSS Doc Libary. The files get added under 'SYSTEM ACCOUNT' in the library. The FullTextSqlQuery class is used to search the document libary items. But it only searches files that has been uploaded by a windows user account like 'Administrator' and ignores the ones uploaded by 'SYSTEM ACCOUNT'. As a result the search results are empty even though we have the necessary data in the document library. What could be the reason for this?     It looks like all of my mappings are compiling correctly, I'm able to validly get a session from session factory. However, when I try to ISession.SaveOrUpdate(obj); I get this.   • Unable to load UIView with initWithNibName in Apple SDK 3.1.3

    I am trying to load my UIViewController and corresponding UIView programmatically in the AppDelegate class. What is funny is that it worked before and then just stopped working. I am wondering if this is a bug in iPhone SDK 3.1.3??? This is a really annoying issue, and I was quite a ways along in a new project when I started having this problem and had to start over with a blank project and copy over all of my resources, when it started happening again... I have uninstalled iPhone OS 3.1.3 and reinstalled and the problem prevails... I also created a second UIViewController class and corresponding nib which DOES LOAD just fine... I am not sure why one works and the other doesn't it...   • Unable to launch the asp.net development server because port '80' is in use

    I need to use port 80 for my development server. Before i restart pc, it's still working fine. After that, it pop up the port 80 is in use. The development server able to run if i changed to other port. I've checked using netstat -ano, no program is using it (my iis is using other port and my skype is not using port 80 as well). I also test with telnet localhost 80, it didnt show any failure message, just the screen goes blank...I'm using win xp. Is my visual studio has problem?

  • Azure - Unable To Get SQL Azure Invitation Code!

    Scenario I'm trying to convert my Silverlight Business Application over to the cloud with the help of Azure. I have been following this link from Brad Abrams blog. Both the links to Windows Azure and SQL Azure crash out in Google Chrome, they work in Internet Explorer, but it's literally one of the worst user experiences I've ever had. The Problem I'm asked to sign in to Microsoft connect with my Live ID. I do so, I'm then asked to register!? - I do so. I'm then sent a verification email which I verify. I'm then signed out!?!?! When I sign back in, it repeats the process.... ANY IDEAS!??! Edit/Update: Finally managed to get signed up/in to connect. From here I was able to get hold of an invitation code to Windows Azure. Now I need an invitation code for SQL Azure. I cannot see ANYWHERE that advertises a way of getting this SQL Azure code, the only thing that I have seen is some text saying that there "may be a delay" in receiving codes due to volume of interest, which quite frankly I find hard to believe......... It's so far been 3 days now.This officially Sucks! If I have any more news I'll post back here.

    So I've been working on trying to figure this out, oddly when I ran it one machine I got a generic Axis Fault with no description, but now on another machine I'm getting a different error message, but I'm still stuck.   • Unable to access MySQL from MyPHPAdmin after setting root password in EasyPHP{WAMP}

    Am a new starter with WAMP and trying to play around my way using the EasyPHP setup. After successful setup on intial launch of MySQL, the page prompted me to set up ROOT password for security reasons. On setting the password, am no longer able to access MySQL. The error is : Error MySQL said: Documentation 1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO) Looked up on the net and tried the following options in the config.inc.php from the phpmyadmin foler: 1] Set the authetication to "http" so that it prompts to enter the username and password /* Authentication type */ $cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'http'; 2] Set up the correct password in the config file $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'myPwd'; None of them worked.     Hi stackoverflow'ers, I've spent the entire day trying to find relevant resources about doing jstat on the WebSphere Process ID. I have WebSphere Application Server 7.0 installed on Windows 2003. I did this command: jstat -gcutil [PID] 1000 But I kept getting "[PID] not found" message. Any idea how to resolve this issue? Or Java's jstat utility does not probe into IBM's derivative JVM?     Hi all, I have created a WCF service and client and all works until it come to catching errors. Specifically I am try to catch the EndpointNotFoundException for when the server happens not to be there for whatever reason, I have tried performing a simple try catch block catching the specific error and the communication exception it derives from and I've tried catching just Exception. None of these succeed in catching the exception, however I do get A first chance exception of type 'System.ServiceModel.EndpointNotFoundException' occurred in System.ServiceModel.dll in the output window when the client tries to open the service. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

    Hello Everyone, My app flow requires Navigation and TabBar controller. So I decided to use TabBar template. Since my first page is login which do not require TabBar, I used presentModelViewController to show Login screen which have Navigation bar if user Navigate to Forgot password. LoginView *rootView = [[[LoginView alloc] init] autorelease]; navigationController= [[[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:rootView] autorelease]; [tabBarController presentModalViewController:navigationController animated:FALSE]; Ones the user login I dismiss view controller and show TabBar with 5 Tab and Each Tab contain TabaleView. User select any row and navigate to sub view. The issue is, on sub view I dont need tab bar. (TabBar is needed ONLY on dashboard). If I hide tabBar a white space remain there.     In my application i am using word automation to get the text content from the file. It is working fine no issues. But at the instant when word automation is processing, if i open the word file, it is throwing a dialog with message (any file) "This file is in use by another application or user. (C:\User\xyz\AppData...\Normal.dotm)". When close the dialog, it asking for save the file "normal.dotm"...template file. This happens only in MSWord 2007 not in MSWord 2003. can any one tell the solution please.
