• Rabbitvcs Nautilus not working on ubuntu 13.04

  I just installed Rabbitvcs on ubuntu 13.04 as per the official instructions. When i tried to install apt-get install rabbitvcs-nautilus3, i got the following error message : Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Package rabbitvcs-nautilus3 is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source However the following packages replace it: rabbitvcs-nautilus E: Package 'rabbitvcs-nautilus3' has no installation candidate So i installed it with apt-get install rabbitvcs-nautilus, and now rabbitvcs options are not showing when i right click on a folder. Any help and suggestions will be highly appreciable. Thanks.

RAC One Node is NOT supported. Only Three-Tier SAP Installations. Only the Oracle database can run on the Oracle Database Appliance.  No SAP instance can be deployed on the Oracle Database Appliance. SAP instances have to run on different middle-tier machines of any hardware architecture and operating system.   I took a look in Stackoverflow most popular profiles, and then I did the same in several other sites, and then I took a look in job postings in several boards, mostly out of curiosity, because I noticed this: If you work with Java, .NET or other managed languages, or you work with stuff that is popular for web development (Ruby, JavaScript, etc...) you can get lots of points on Stackoverflow, find lots of jobs and clients, find forums, friends, colleagues, etc... But how a programmer of uncommon languages (Lua, pure C, Lisp, D, ADA, Haskell, etc...) find information, sell his services, and so on? EDIT: This also applies to fields: You work with web, corporate software, database, etc... it is great... You dislike those previous 3, noone ever will hire your services...

  Brief history domain.com was associated with a blogspot. domain.com changed to an institutional site and features a small code instructing which file should be retrieved by RSS readers. <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" href="http://domain.tumblr.com/rss" /> Google Reader didn't update the RSS to the new blog. domain.com/blog retrieves the posts correctly because it was never used for that purpose in the older blog. How is it possible to force Google Reader to update the cached information? I tried using another RSS reader and it worked perfectly with the new domain. However, when I tried to follow domain.com in another Google Reader account, it still showed the posts from the older blog. It's been almost a month that the aforementioned changes were made.

• Chainload boot of Ubuntu installed on 32GB SD card from legacy Grub boot on USB

  I have Ubuntu installed on a 32 GB SD card (in the Storage Expansion slot on an Acer Aspire One) with Grub2 installed in the same partition. I boot into legacy Grub on a USB drive and would like to boot by chainloading Grub2 from Grub (kernel/initrd or symlink booting would also be fine), but I haven't figured out how to do this from legacy Grub CLI. Output from blkid for this partition is /dev/mmcblk0p1: LABEL="Ubuntu" UUID="7ceb9fa7-238c-4c5d-bb8e-2c655652ddec" TYPE='ext4" / fdisk -lu information Boot indicator ID 83. Related entries in grub.cfg: search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set-root 7ceb9fa7-238c-4c5d-bb8e-2c655652ddec linux /boot/vmlinuz-3.5.0-17-generic root=UUID=7ceb9fa7-238c-4c5d-bb8e-2c655652ddec... initrd /boot/initrd.img-3.5.0-17-generic I can't seem to replicate this in legacy Grub. Is there any way get Grub2 to chainload? How do I set root with UUID in legacy Grub? I prefer to boot from USB. Would Grub2 on USB (copying the grub.cfg generated during installation) be an option?

• Problem on login: Freeze just before user selection

  Hi, I'm using ubuntu 10.10 and when I login it shows my login's wallpaper an appears the window where I select my user without showing it and then gets frozen. No mouse response, no keyboard responde (even if I try to num/caps lock). I tried with safe mode and same thing happens, but in that case it freeze when trying to load some USB stuff, I tought it was my USB headset or my mouse so I disconnected them but doesn't works. Any advice on how to fix this, how to login to try an update or how to post more information?

• How to mount an external Soundcard during startup?

  I have an external sound card (Soundblaster XFi HD) connected to my Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit. that won't show up automatically after booting. After each boot process I need to plug the card out of the USB port and reconnect it, then it is found by the system and automatically used. I would like to either have it connected automatically during the boot process or at least have a little script or something which I can use after booting so that I don't have to manually plug the device off and on. Please note that I'm a total noob. If you don't mind please tell me the procedure step by step. Also, if I need to get some information via the terminal I'd need to be told the precise command to get it.

  I'm following the Nagios Ubuntu quickstart instructions. I'm on Ubuntu 10.10 and installing Nagios 3.2.3. At the bottom of the docs it says I need to install the mailx and postfix packages. (Postfix is already installed.) But when I try to install mailx, I get asked which of 3 packages to install: $ sudo apt-get install mailx [sudo] password for nagios: Reading package lists...   I see talk of CPU's being either 32-bit or 64-bit processors. Information which is often required on download pages But what is that feature officially called. i.e What's the inverse of saying "I have a 64-bit processor"? I want to say: The ??? of my processor is 64 bit What is the correct term to use for ??? I have looked at a random product on the Intel site and I suspect the correct word for this is "Instruction Set", but I'm not sure.

• Is this overkill? Using MDX queries and cubes instead of SQL stored procedures

  I am new to Microsoft's SQL Server Analysis Services Cubes and MDX queries. Where I work we have a daily sales table in SQL Server 2005 that already contains an aggregate of sale information per store per day. At this time it contains only 164,000+ rows. We have a sales cube dedicated to this table that about 15 reports are based off of. Now, I should also note that we generate reports based on our own fiscal year criteria: a 13 period year (1 month equals 28 days etc.). Is this overkill? At what point is it justified to begin using SSAS Cubes/MDX over plain old SQL Server stored procedures? Since I have always been just using plain old SQL am I tragically late to the MDX party?

  I was using System.Web.UI.WebControls.Table System.Web.UI.WebControlsTableRow System.Web.UI.WebControls.TableCell objects inside LayoutTemplate’s InstantiateIn method that’s inherited from ITemplateas stated below:Table = new Table(); when compile got the following error on the YPOD(Yellow page of Death) 'Table' cannot have children of type 'ListViewDataItem'. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. • How to display reboot required user notification after installing a custom package in linux?

  After installing a custom package I should force a reboot of the system. I looked at couple of solutions to this use notify-send to display user notification followed by a reboot command, which did work as planned. But the user notification is only shown when I install the package from command line and not when I installed through Software Center. I came across some posts where they suggested adding the following to the postinst script [ -x /usr/share/update-notifier/notify-reboot-required ] && \ /usr/share/update-notifier/notify-reboot-required || true Tried including the above in the postinst script but all it does is updating the two files /var/run/reboot-required.pkgs and /var/run/reboot-required with restart information. It neither displayed user-notification nor rebooted the system after package is installed. Is there a way to display reboot required user notification in Ubuntu/Fedora/Open SUSE ?

I live in Derby (United Kingdom) and there's not (As far as I know) many conferences local to where I live. I do have a car at my disposal so travelling shouldn't be a problem. I was hoping somebody could recommend the best way to go about finding and attending a conference, which one is probably the best to go to and what kind of things I'd need to know and take beforehand. I've done a couple of Google searches and searched SO itself but nothing specific to my needs was found. Note: I'm primarily a C# developer using WPF and WinForms but I'm open to pretty much anything.
