    I have a huge test data like the one provided below (and yes I have no control over this data). Each line is actually 6 parts and I need to generate an XML based on this data. Nav;Basic;Dest;Smoke;No;Yes; Nav;Dest;Recent;Regg;No;Yes; Nav;Dest;Favourites;Regg;No;Yes; ... Nav;Dest using on board;By POI;Smoke;No;Yes; Nav;Dest using on board;Other;Regg;No;Yes; The first 3 elements on each line denotes "test suites"-XML element and the last 3 element should create a "test case"-XML element. This is all correct, but as you can see I have created a whole tree for each line and that is not what I need. I need to combine e.g. all testsuite with the same name into one testsuite and also perform that recursively.   • Can you tell by the network traffic whether a video was watched or downloaded from YouTube?

    My question is about quite popular YouTube downloaders like youtube-dl (a command line program) or VideoDownloadHelper (a Firefox-browser extension). Comparing two cases: Watching a video on YouTube Download the video using a downloader (to be specific let's assume youtube-dl) Is it possible to tell – for instance by inspecting the network traffic – that the video was downloaded and not "only watched" on YouTube? Maybe one could compare network traffic using programmes like Wireshark? I cannot do that myself, but maybe this will help somebody to answer the question.

  • My pivot chart has the wrong Y axis values but correct data point values

    I created a pivot chart based on some raw data for the x axis (dates) and 4 calculated fields for the Y values. The values on resulting lines are correct (see the data label at the end of the line) but the Y axis is off by about 100, but not off by any consistent amount. I have played with auto axis on and off, turn log scale on and off. All to no avail. Does anybody have any thoughts? Image link

  • DVD ROM is not working

    (note: I don't know in which StackExchange site to put this question, I'll thank the moderator that will move it to a more appropriate place, if there is a S.E. available for my question). I have a DVD RW drive that is well listed in the bios, and if no CD is in, it is also present in the "My Computer" of my Fedora 16. But when I put a disc on it, the icon disapear from "My Computer", and I can not do anything with this ! (Like erasing a RW disc). I'd like to boot a Fedora 17 Live CD image. I burned it on an other computer but when I try to run it in bios, nothing is done and I'm redirected to Grub of my HD.     Hello everyone, I have what I suspect to be a logic problem with an algorithm I am using to work with Video timecode in PHP. All help is appreciated. The Objective Well basically I want to work with timecode and perform calculations For those not familiar with timecode it looks like this 01:10:58:12 or HH:MM:SS:FF 'AKA' HOURS:MINUTES:SECONDS:FRAMES I have used the script from HERE to help me with working with this format. The Problem Now can i just say that this script works!!! Timecode calculations (in this case additions) are being performed correctly.   • How to get rid of messages addressed to not existing subdomains?

    Hi! I have small problem with my sendmail server and need your little help :-) My situation is as follow: User mailboxes are placed on MS exchanege server and all mail to and from outside world are relayed trough my sendmail box. Exchange server ----- sendmail server ------ Internet My servers accept messages for one main domain (say, my.domain.com) and for few other domains (let we narrow it too just one, say my_other.domain.com). After configuring sendmail with showed bellow abbreviated sendmail.mc file, essentially everything works ok, but there is small problem. I want to reject messages addressed to not existing recipients as soon as possible (to avoid sending non delivery reports), so my sendmail server make LDAP queries to exchange server, validating every recipient address. This works well both domains but not for subdomains. Such subdomains do not exist, but someone (I'm mean those heated spamers :-) could try addresses like this: user@any_host.my.domain.com or user@any_host.my_other.domain.com and for those addresses results are as follows: Messages to user@sendmail_hostname.my.domain.com are rejected with error "Unknown user" (due to additional LDAPROUTE_DOMAIN line in my sendmail.mc file, and this is expected behaviour) Messages to user@any_other_hostname.my.domain.com are rejected with error "Relaying denied". Little strange to me, why this time the error is different, but still ok. After all message was rejected and I don't care very much what error code will be returned to sender (spamer). Messages to user@sendmail_hostname.my_other.domain.com and user@any_other_hostname.my_other.domain.com are rejected with error "Unknown user" but only when, there is no user@my_other.domain.com mailbox (on exchange server). If such mailbox exist, then all three addresses (i.e. user@my_other.domain.com, user@sendmail_hostname.my_other.domain.com and user@any_other_hostname.my_other.domain.com) will be accepted. (adding additional line LDAPROUTE_DOMAIN(my_sendmail_host.my_other.domain.com) to my sendmail.mc file don't change anything) My abbreviated sendmail.mc file is as follows (sendmail 8.14.3-5).   • Can I right-click a folder in Windows 7 and choose "Open with Sublime Text"?

    In Windows 7, I can do this at the command line: "c:\Program Files\Sublime Text 2\sublime_text.exe" samplefolder This launches a Sublime Text window, with the contents of samplefolder loaded in Sublime's sidebar. While this works as needed, it's inconvenient to open a command prompt every single time. Is there any way I can add this behavior to Windows Explorer's right-click menu? I'd like to be able to right-click a folder and "Open with Sublime" just like I can right-click a folder and "Scan for viruses".

  • Is there a way to map a local drive letter in a Virtual PC Guest O/S to a host drive?

    I have a bunch of programming projects on my P:\ drive (on Windows 7) I'm now doing some programming within Virtual PC Windows XP Mode and I'd like to "call" that drive, within the Win XP guest, the P: drive. I've mapped drive letter P: to "network" drive on the Host but that goes across the network so it's very slow. I tried using the SUBST command but it wouldn't take the \tsclients\p as a parameter. Basically, the command line interpreter (is that DOS on Win 7 ??) doesn't recognize that directory (\tsclients\p)

    Hello I had installed mysql from the command line when I setup a local web server with custom modules on my snow leopard box. I recently discovered MAMP and its just easier to work with it than with the personal web server Apple has and via command like utils. I uninstall ports completely but still see 'mysqld' in my Activity Monitor. I would like to uninstall this cleanly. Any tips? Thank you.

    So, I'm trying to install AVG on someone else's computer (with permission, I promise!) but their internet connection is spotty. The d/l is stopped and sent back to square one when the line goes down, so I need to download it from a good terminal, and then shove it on a flash drive or something and give it to them. Does anyone know of a place where I can download the full program--not just the installer?

When i restart the ubuntu , then virtual machine does not start. But there are two "hello" in that text file I don't know why two hellos but vm is not starting

  • What does Ruby have that Python doesn't, and vice versa?

    There is a lot of discussions of Python vs Ruby, and I all find them completely unhelpful, because they all turn around why feature X sucks in language Y, or that claim language Y doesn't have X, although in fact it does. I also know exactly why I prefer Python, but that's also subjective, and wouldn't help anybody choosing, as they might not have the same tastes in development as I do. It would therefore be interesting to list the differences, objectively. So no "Python's lambdas sucks". Instead explain what Ruby's lambdas can do that Python's can't. No subjectivity. Example code is good! Don't have several differences in one answer, please. And vote up the ones you know are correct, and down those you know are incorrect (or are subjective). Also, differences in syntax is not interesting. We know Python does with indentation what Ruby does with brackets and ends, and that @ is called self in Python. UPDATE: This is now a community wiki, so we can add the big differences here. Ruby has a class reference in the class body In Ruby you have a reference to the class (self) already in the class body. In Python you don't have a reference to the class until after the class construction is finished. An example: class Kaka puts self end self in this case is the class, and this code would print out "Kaka". There is no way to print out the class name or in other ways access the class from the class definition body in Python. All classes are mutable in Ruby This lets you develop extensions to core classes. Here's an example of a rails extension: class String def starts_with?(other) head = self[0, other.length] head == other end end Ruby has Perl-like scripting features Ruby has first class regexps, $-variables, the awk/perl line by line input loop and other features that make it more suited to writing small shell scripts that munge text files or act as glue code for other programs. Ruby has blocks With the "do" statement you can create a multi-line anonymous function in Ruby, which will be passed in as an argument into the method in front of do, and called from there. In Python you would instead do this either by passing a method or with generators. Python has built-in generators (which are used like Ruby blocks, as noted above) Python has support for generators in the language. In Ruby you could use the generator module that uses continuations to create a generator from a block. Or, you could just use a block/proc/lambda! Moreover, in Ruby 1.9 Fibers are, and can be used as, generators. docs.python.org has this generator example: def reverse(data): for index in range(len(data)-1, -1, -1): yield data[index] Contrast this with the above block examples. Python has flexible name space handling In Ruby, when you import a file with require, all the things defined in that file will end up in your global namespace. This causes namespace pollution. The solution to that is Rubys modules. But if you create a namespace with a module, then you have to use that namespace to access the contained classes. In Python, the file is a module, and you can import its contained names with from themodule import *, thereby polluting the namespace if you want. But you can also import just selected names with from themodule import aname, another or you can simply import themodule and then access the names with themodule.aname. If you want more levels in your namespace you can have packages, which are directories with modules and an __init__.py file. Python has docstrings Docstrings are strings that are attached to modules, functions and methods and can be introspected at runtime.   • How can I automatically encode a folder of wmv files to flv?

    I have a folder in which .wmvs are saved after they are finished recording. I would like to set up a script which encodes all of the files in this folder into .flvs with the appropriate size, frame rate, etc and then moves them to another folder. I have been looking for a command line .wmv to .flv converter to do this without much success. Has someone automatically encoded .wmvs to .flvs before that can point me in the right direction?

  • My virtualbox fstab will not auto-mount on reboot?

    I am able to mount my drive manually like this (ubuntu): sudo mount -t vboxsf C_DRIVE /mnt/saga_c But when I try and add it to my fstab it does not mount when I restart the machine. Is there something wrong with my /etc/fstab line: C_DRIVE /mnt/saga_c vboxsf defaults 0 0 Do I need something in addition to the vboxsf? Or is there something else I am doing incorrectly?
