• Front-end design first, or back-end development first? For Ruby on Rails site

  I am doing everything on my own: front-end and back-end. I am proficient with HTML and CSS, but a noob in Ruby on Rails. Now that I want to develop the site, I wonder if I should start from front-end first, or back-end. Cos what I am doing for front-end now are all static. I am afraid that I have to change a lot of my front-end coding when I do my back-end.

  I have a single table called "Indexes", it contains one nvarchar and three ntext columns (all Full Text Indexes). Index is up to date. CONTAINSTABLE(Indexes, *), 'test', 5) //5 results No matter what I change the above keyword too, it only returns the first 3-5 results. It should roughly return 90-120 results, for the above query. Everything works just find from the command line, but when I load it into my rails application WebBrick crashes on the "require 'curb'" statement.   We have a situation where walmanager is being used to ship wal files between a master and a slave Postgres database. The slave machine has failed and has had to have been rebuilt. This has caused a lot of unconsumed wal files to build up on the master. If a reboot is issued to the Postgres master, and there are 24 hours worth of unconsumed wal files hanging around, will the master be effected at all or will it start clean?

  Hello, Is it possible to start the application on the Android phone (starting with Froyo), when there is an incoming voice call? In other words, the incoming voice call should trigger the application startup. In such a case the application should not be full-screen, but should cover only part of the screen to not hide the native controls for accepting or rejecting the call.
