• User/Group Policies in Windows 2000 domain controller

  In Server 2000 active directory, I have 5 groups of users and every user has different policies. The problem is that a different desktop loads for only one specific user no matter what changes I make in administrative templates. If I copy this user profile and paste it into another group with a different name, windows workaround loads as it should, but some policies are not applied. Does anybody know a way to solve this problem instead of creating a new group and user from scratch?

  Is there a way to disable the PHP setting safe_mode in a client or domain template in Plesk 8.6? Or, to disable it for new domain creation in some other Plesk setting/configuration? I've Googled, and people seem to think no I've asked our hosting provider, and they don't think so I've looked in both the domain and client templates in Plesk and don't see it Has anyone been able to do this Plesk 8.6 for new domains?

  in a C# file i have a class Archiver { [DllImport("Archiver.dll")] public static extern void archive(string data, StringBuilder response); } string data is an input, and StringBuilder response is where the function writes something the archive function prototype (written in C) looks like this: void archive(char * dataChr, char * outChr); and it receives a string in dataChr, and then does a strcpy(outChr,"some big text"); from C# i call it something like this: string message = "some text here"; StringBuilder response = new StringBuilder(10000); Archiver.archive(message,response); this works, but the problem, as you might see is that i give a value to the StringBuilder size, but the archive function might give back a (way) larger text than the size i've given to my StringBuilder. any way to fix this?

• Why aren't operator conversions implicitly called for templated functions? (C++)

  I have the following code: template <class T> struct pointer { operator pointer<const T>() const; }; void f(pointer<const float>); template <typename U> void tf(pointer<const float>); void g() { pointer<float> ptr; f(ptr); tf(ptr); } When I compile the code with gcc 4.3.3 I get a message (aaa.cc:17: error: no matching function for call to ‘tf(pointer<float>&)’) indicating that the compiler called 'operator pointer<const T>' for the non-templated function f(), but didn't for the templated function tf(). Why and is there any workaround short of overloading tf() with a const and non-const version? Thanks in advance for any help.

• Prolog term concatenation

  Hi, I'm trying to format a result from a program but getting an hard time. I wanted to give something like this as result: Res = do(paint(x) do(clean(a), do(repair(b) , initialState))) basically, I want to concatenate successive terms to initialState atom but, it doesn't work with atom_concat since the other terms to concatenate aren't atoms and also I wanted to add the ) everytime I pass through the "do" function. So it would be something like: Res = initialState. When do function was called, I would have a function like concatenateTerm(Pred, Res, Res). Pred beeing repair(b) for instance and obtain the result: res = do(repair(b), initialState). Is this possible to be done? Thanks

• Using javascript to call controller methond in mvc

  Im trying to make a table row work as a link to another view in my mvc website. Instead of using the standard "Details" link provided by the auto generated table list, I would like to use the table row as a link to the "Details" view instead. So somehow I need to make the row work as a link. Each rom has a unique id that I need to pass on to the controller method. I have tried different solutions but noting happens when I press on the table row... • Problem with detecting phone orientation change in Symbian/Qt

  I want to do some custom processing when the orientation of the phone changes. I have re-implemented the resizeEvent(QResizeEvent*) virtual function in my class. The strange thing is, for the first one time when the phone orientation is changed, this function is actually called, and works fine. But all subsequent orientation changes, this function isn't even called? Why does this happen? Are there any other ways to detect phone orientation change? Thanks.

• c++ undefined references with static library

  hi guys i'm trying to make a static library from a class but when trying to use it i always get errors with undefined references on anything. the way i proceeded was creating the object file like g++ -c myClass.cpp -o myClass.o and then packing it with ar rcs myClass.lib myClass.o there is something i'm obviously missing generaly with this.. i bet it's something with symbols.. thx for any advices, i know it's most probably something i could find out if reading some tutorial so sorry if bothering with stupid stuff again :) edit: myClass.h: class myClass{ public: myClass(); void function(); }; myClass.cpp: #include "myClass.h" myClass::myClass(){} void myClass::function(){} program using the class: #include "myClass.h" int main(){ myClass mc; mc.function(); return 0; } finally i compile it like this: g++ -o main.exe -L. -l myClass main.cpp

• Set Focus After Last Character in Text Box

  I have 3 text boxes for a phone number. As the user types, it automatically moves from one textbox to the next. When the user presses backspace, I can move focus to the previous text box. The problem is that in IE, focus is set to the beginning of the text box.   This code for parsing my xml and appending via jquery seems to work great in every browser but Chrome (Mac only, the windows version of chrome works fine) and explorer. I'm not aware of any glaring issues in the code so I thought some fresh eyes might help. • Is pst file enough to backup my Outlook (Gmail)?

Is this file enough to protect my mails or do I need additional files or whatever? I'm not a regular outlook user. • The document.body.innerHTML.replace() replaces the url in the address bar.

  I am trying to make an extension as part of which i want certain words in the web pages to be highlighted. The document.body.innerHTML.replace() replaces the url in the address bar as well. So the moment this code gets exwecuted the page doesnt get loaded properly.. • I cannot get this Jquery Image ComboBox to Work

• Is it possible to reference object within the same object?

  I've been messing around with jQuery plugin code and I'm trying to put all of my common variables into a single object for easy access. I have included a few examples below on how I've done this, but I'm wondering how others deal with this problem. • wordpress filters documentation? Trying to understand add_filter()

  I read over the documentation several times and have been having a hard time trying to figure out what is going on with the function. I'm more and more confused after looking at the documentation, looking over the source code as well. add_filter($tag, $hook, $priority, $args); it seems to me the new function extends the parent function. What puzzle's me is what parts of the hook becomes overridden. in some examples in the documentation i see that some variables are replaced with the $args in your new $tag. I almost understood it all here: http://www.andrewnacin.com/2010/05/18/rethinking-template-tags-in-plugins/ but then i couldn't figure out how you pass arguments and which eventually get overriden. thanks in advance.

  I have 2 columns in Excel: the first contains a list of employee names who perform function A, and the second contains a list of employee names who perform function B. What I want is to identify, in one cell, if there is one employee whose name appears in both the first and second columns. It does not have to show which name(s) appears in both columns, it just needs to identify IF there are any names that appear in both columns.
