  Hi! I have a list consisting of other lists and some zeroes, for example: x = [[1, 1, 2], [1, 1, 1, 2], [1, 1, 2], 0, 0, 0] I would like to generate all the combinations of this list while keeping the order of the inner lists unchanged, so [[1, 1, 2], 0, 0, [1, 1, 1, 2], [1, 1, 2], 0] is fine, but [[1, 1, 1, 2], [1, 1, 2], 0, 0, [1, 1, 2], 0] isn't. I've got the feeling that this should be fairly easy in Python, but I just don't see it. Could somebody help me out?

• Bash init.d script detect that mysqld has started and is running

  I'm working on my dedicated server running CentOS. I found out that one of my applications which starts up via a script in /etc/init.d/ requires MySQL to be running, or else it throws an error, so essentially I currently have to start it by hand. How can I detect, in a bash script (#!/bin/sh), whether the MySQL service has started yet? Is there some way to poll port 3306 until it is open to accept connections, and only then continue with the script? Or maybe set an order so that the script doesn't run until the mysqld script runs?

  I have a very long form, which is divided into fieldsets which in turn are being shown or hidden, using the harmonica from jQuery UI. I am using form validation from jQuery as well, all newest versions. After submission and validation the user is redirected to the first erroneous field by $('myForm').validate(); But the containing harmonica fieldset has to be showed/opened with $('myForm').accordion('activate', index); as well, in order to show the field to the user. So how can I open the appropriate accordion fieldset after the form has been tried to submit? Is there a way to do it in a callback function after $('myForm').validate();

  I have created some JavaScript files and they run well from my Mac OS X Server. Now I have put the same JavaScript files on my MS Server 2003. But they don't work. Do I have to install something on the server in order to get them work? EDIT: (Sorry, I'm new and English is not my native language, so its hard for me to describe the situation well) I have downloaded this free Ajax Chat app. After enabling PHP on my Mac, it worked. But on my MS Windows 2003 Server it doesn't work. I installed PHP and Apache on Windows. PHP and Apache work well. But everything that uses JavaScript (such as drop down menus or pop-up windows) doesn't work. Thanks!

• jQuery Tiny Scrollbar plugin - Fails to show all content on refresh

  Hi Guys! I've implemented Tiny Scrollbar plugin on a website, for good-looking div scrolling. But weird stuff happens when I refresh the page in Safari or Chrome. It seams to clip some of my content. What happens upon a page refresh, that could make it behave like this? Please have a look at mettestentoft.dk I've tried using the same plugin on a simple test page, where a page refresh would make the plugin add a 'scrollbar disable' class to the div, while clicking a link linking to the same page, would make i show as it should. Tiny Scrollbar plugin demopage doesn't seem to have any problems, unless I'm missing it. So my question is: Do I have to do something jQuery-wise, in order for a page to load equally to a linked page? Thank you in advance :)

  I want to create a real time-series array. Currently, I am using the statistics gem to pull out values for each 'day': define_statistic :sent_count, :count => :all, :group => 'DATE(date_sent)', :filter_on => {:email_id => 'email_id > = ?'}, :order => 'DATE(date_sent) ASC' What this does is create an array where there are values for a date, for example [["12-20-2010",1], ["12-24-2010",3]] But I need it to fill in the null values, so it looks more like: [["12-20-2010",1], ["12-21-2010",0], ["12-22-2010",0], ["12-23-2010",0], ["12-24-2010",3]] Notice how the second example has "0" values for the days that were missing from the first array.

  Is it possible to provide the following type of fuctionality with informix client tools? As the user types the first two characters of a name, the drop-down list is empty. At the third character, the list fills with just the names beginning with those three characters. At the fourth character, MS-Access completes the first matching name (assuming the combo's AutoExpand is on). Once enough characters are typed to identify the customer, the user tabs to the next field. The time taken to load the combo between keystrokes is minimal. This occurs once only for each entry, unless the user backspaces through the first three characters again. If your list still contains too many records, you can reduce them by another order of magnitude by changing the value of constant conSuburbMin from 3 to 4.

When I do ls in the folder they appear in an order of mem0.csv mem1.csv mem10.csv mem100.csv . . . mem2.csv mem20.csv . . . I want to create a bash script to push 0's between mem and the number. I figure that I need to add 0's until all the filenames are of the same length only problem is that I don't know how to do this.

  Hello, I have a file with lines having some fields delimited by "|". I have to extract the lines that are identical based on some of the fileds (i.e. find lines which contain the same values for fields 1,2,3 12,and 13) Other fields contents have no importance for searching but the whole extracted lines have to be complete.   I'm writing a PHP script to generate SQL dumps from my database for version control purposes. It already dumps the data structure by means of running the appropriate SHOW CREATE .... query. Now I want to dump data itself but I'm unsure about the best method. My requirements are: I need a record per row Rows must be sorted by primary key SQL must be valid and exact no matter the data type (integers, strings, binary data...) Dumps should be identical when data has not changed I can detect and run mysqldump as external command but that adds an extra system requirement and I need to parse the output in order to remove headers and footers with dump information I don't need (such as server version or dump date). I'd love to keep my script as simple as I can so it can be hold in an standalone file. What are my alternatives?

• How do I use an enum with custom values for a Sharepoint Web part?

  I'm trying to design a Web Part that has a drop-down list for the user to choose from. Eventually, these values will be automatically generated based on some kind of outside data source, so they're going to have somewhat arbitrary numeric values associated with them. This is the code I have now: public enum filterChoice { All=0, BOCC=12, Sustainability=15, Clerk=4, DA=13, Emergency=7, Highlights=3, POS=6, PR=1, PH=5, SHPR=2, Test=8, Transportation=14, Volunteer=16 }; These are different categories I want the user to choose from. When I choose one and save the settings for my Web Part, Sharepoint is only saving the values in numeric order; that is, All=0, BOCC=1, Sustainability=3 [...] so my Web Part then thinks the user chose the value with the corresponding number (PR when they chose BOCC, Highlights when they chose Sustainability, etc.) How can I make Sharepoint honor my custom values?

For example, if SrchVals1 shows the following records in the combobox: First Title Second Title Third Title I would like to concatenate so that the records in the combobox look like this: Sub: First Title Sub: Second Title Sub: Third Title I understand that I might have to use a foreach statement; however, I am having no luck writing one that adds "Sub: " in front of each record, as opposed to one.   My program is working with fax documents stored as separate bitmaps I wonder if there is a way to detect automatically page orientation (vertical or horizontal) to show image preview for user in right order (meant rotate if neccesary) Any advices much appreciated! EDIT: Clarification: When Faxmachine receives multi-page document it saves each page as separate TIFF file. My app has built-in viewer displaying those files. All files are scaled to A4 format and saved in TIFF (so there is no change to detect orientation by height/width parameters) My viewer displays images in portrait mode by default What I'd like to do is automagically detect situation when org document was printed in landscape mode (eg wide Excel tables) then I'd like to show rotated preview for end user to speed up preview process Obviously there are 4 possible fax orientation portrait / landscape x 2 kind of rotations. I'm even interested simplified solution detecting when org doc was landscape or portrait (I've noticed most of landscape docs needs to be rotated clockwise)

• Codeigniter deny access to directory of controllers with apache config

  I’d like to restrict access to a folder of controllers that are used for admin purposes only. I’ve tried a number of ways and not coming up with a solution. These controllers are behind password protection. But, I’d like to just remove it from view if someone happens to stumble upon the right directory. Can this be done? I’d rather not do it from htaccess. I have access to the apache config files, so I’d like to handle it there. Does it have anything to do with the way Codeigniter routes? Or, am I just way off? • What do you name the "other" kind of view-model in an MVVM project?

  With MVVM, I think of a view-model as a class that provides all the data and commands that a view needs to bind to. But what happens when I have a database entity object, say a Customer, and I want to build a class that shapes or flattens the Customer class for use in a data grid. For example, maybe this special Customer object would have a property TotalOrders, which is actually calculated using a join with a collection of Order entities. My question is, what do I call this special Customer class? In other situations, I'd be tempted to call it a CustomerViewModel, but I feel like "overloading" the notion of a view-model like this would be confusing in an MVVM project. What would you suggest?

I'm looking to record the order that these buttons are pressed and enter them into an array and then compare it to another array that is static in the app. The check should be done on the Nth button press, where N equals the number of items in the other, static array. How do I A) have a button press add a value to an array B) stop after Nth button press equal to amount of numbers in the array I'm checking against and C) compare this array to the other array?
