• Need to include #anchor after querystring list

  Hello, Form is 'get' to a API which operates off of querystring. One of the parameters is a PackageID which indicates a vacation package. In order for the packageID to appear I also need to append '#packages' to the end of the get request. Since not all form 'get' have a package I need this to be dynamic. I've tried adding a hidden field with '#packages' as the value - however the '#' is automatically encoded and therefore not registered when the server grabs the URL. What would be the best way for me to dynamically include '#packages' as it appears in the querystring via javascript? Thanks!

• Dynamically changing databases in SQL Server 2000

  At work we have a number of databases that we need to do the same operations on. I would like to write 1 SP that would loop over operations and set the database at the beginning of the loop (example to follow). I've tried sp_executesql('USE ' + @db_id) but that only sets the DB for the scope of that stored procedure. I don't really want to loop with hard coded database names because we need to do similar things in many different places and it's tough to remember where things need to change if we add another DB. • Mysql help with view more button.

  I am working on a widget that is a lot like twitters widget where there is a list of postings and a view more button. I can get it to work with using ID variables but I would like to sort by popular posts. Here is my mysq code: $sql = "SELECT id, title, category, icon_normal, status, description, views_monthly FROM posts WHERE views_monthly<=".$lastPost." AND status='1' ORDER BY views_monthly DESC LIMIT 9" So the problem that I am having is it shows the first 9 just fine. When it gets to the point where views_monthly = 0 then it just loads the same 9 post over again. How do it get it to switch to using ID when it reaches Views_monthly = 0 and load fresh posts?

• Multiple column Union Query without duplicates

  I'm trying to write a Union Query with multiple columns from two different talbes (duh), but for some reason the second column of the second Select statement isn't showing up in the output. I don't know if that painted the picture properly but here is my code: Select empno, job From EMP Where job = 'MANAGER' Union Select empno, empstate From EMPADDRESS Where empstate = 'NY' Order By empno The output looks like: EMPNO JOB 4600 NY 5300 MANAGER 5300 NY 7566 MANAGER 7698 MANAGER 7782 MANAGER 7782 NY 7934 NY 9873 NY Instead of 5300 and 7782 appearing twice, I thought empstate would appear next to job in the output. For all other empno's I thought the values in the fields would be (null). Am I not understanding Unions correctly, or is this how they are supposed to work? Thanks for any help in advance.

I also have an invoice table that is dbo.invoices with invoicecompanyId column (which is the same as the companyId on the other table) and it also has a column called invoicedate. • Restrict confirm message on page reload with f5

  In my JSP page I am using post method while submitting the page. So once I go from Page 1 to page 2. In Page 2, If I press F5 I am getting alert as "To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier." I knew this question is a bit sarcastic but please give me an Idea. I can't change my method from POST to GET because I need to send large amount of data. Thanks in advance... • What is the right way to implement communication between java objects?

  I'm working on an academic project which simulates a rather large queuing procedure in java. The core of the simulator rests within one package where there exist 8 classes, each one implementing a single concept. Every class in the project follows SRP. These classes encapsulate the behavior of the simulator and inter-connect every other class in the project. The problem that has arisen is that most of these 8 classes are, as is logical i think, tightly coupled and each one has to have working knowledge of every other class in this package in order to be able to call methods from it when needed. The application needs only one instance of each class so it might be better to create static fields for each class in a new class and use that to make calls -instead of preserving a reference in each class for every other class in the package (which I'm certain that is incorrect)-, but is this considered a correct design solution? or is there a design pattern maybe that better suits my needs?

• Reading in MIPS external file so another file can use it?

  Hey all, I'm working on this final thing for my MIPS project and it's deceptively easy. I need to get a procedure (called feed) and let its main driver program use it by reading it in. I know that I'm supposed to use the call code 14 and .globl sym (I think) in order to feed it into the file and have it read it. I just need a basic tutorial or something, as I CANNOT find it on the Internet or in my book (just lists the call code, real helpful). Here's what I know: I need to use read, but I also need a file descriptor (don't know where to get it). I need to put the buffer in $a1 and the length in $a2. Well, that's about it. If there's any decent tutorial you could whip up or if there is one online that I don't see let me know please :). I just need a push in the right direction, I'm sure it can't be too difficult, just can't find any info on it!

  I have NUnit installed at this directory. C:\Program Files\NUnit 2.5.5\bin\net-2.0 I made the directory beneath a GAC. C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\NUnit and copied the nunit.framework.dll, but I got the same error. When I try to run my unit test (mut.dll) in some random directory. I get the following error. I have to copy the mut.dll under the NUnit directory in order to run it. ProcessModel: Default DomainUsage: Single Execution Runtime: net-2.0 Could not load file or assembly 'nunit.framework, Version=2.5.5.10112, Culture=n eutral, PublicKeyToken=96d09a1eb7f44a77' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. What went wrong? How can I install/copy the assembly inside a GAC?

  Hello, I am wondering how exactly can i order my date nicely in a stringbuilder? Meaning something equal to ("{0,2}", ....) to space the data nicely out. I do not want to use consolewrites of any kind, so the class can be re-used in a form, console code etc... Currently i am using " " for the spacing, but in overall it does not give a proper display.   Using TextMate: Is it possible to assign a shortcut to preview/refresh the currently edited HTML document in, say, Firefox, without having to first hit Save? I'm looking for the same functionality as TextMate's built-in Web Preview window, but I'd prefer an external browser instead of TextMate's. (Mainly in order to use a JavaScript console such as Firebug for instance). Would it be possible to pipe the currently unsaved document through the shell and then preview in Firefox. And if so, is there anyone having a TextMate command for this, willing to share it?

• How to test my outgoing emails in MS Outlook?

  Some people are complaining my html emails are showing up as plain text with html mark ups and others are complaining about unusual characters like 0=D 3=D. They appear to be using MS Outlook. I just installed MS Outlook and configured the imap settings to work with my gmail account. All my emails appear fine. So I suspect I need my MS Outlook to work with an MS Exchange server in order to produce the results my other Outlook recipients are seeing. But I'm not sure how to get access to an MS Exchange server (assuming that is the case). Can anyone recommend how I can reproduce the same email environment as my recipients such that I can get the same bugs they get? Thanks

• Boost.Log - Multiple processes to one log file?

  Reading through the doc for Boost.Log, it explains how to "fan out" into multiple files/sinks pretty well from one application, and how to get multiple threads working together to log to one place, but is there any documentation on how to get multiple processes logging to a single log file? What I imagine is that every process would log to its own "private" log file, but in addition, any messages above a certain severity would also go to a "common" log file. Is this possible with Boost.Log? Is there some configuration of the sinks that makes this easy? I understand that I will likely have the same "timestamp out of order" problem described in the FAQ here, but that's OK, as long as the timestamps are correct I can work with that. This is all on one machine, so no remote filesystem problems either.

  Let's say I have a list, and a filtering function. Using something like >>> filter(lambda x: x > 10, [1,4,12,7,42]) [12, 42] I can get the elements matching the criterion. Is there a function I could use that would output two lists, one of elements matching, one of the remaining elements? I could call the filter() function twice, but that's kinda ugly :) Edit: the order of elements should be conserved, and I may have identical elements multiple times.

• Changing the way widgets are rendered/displayed in a form on the template

  I have a form with a few other embedded forms and some various widgets. The widgets are all saved in an array $form['elements'] and for some of them, I want to display labels and things, but for others I only want to display the basic rendering. foreach($form['elements'] as $elem) echo $elem->render(); this displays everything about the widget. The way it is right now, I couldn't for example call $elem['..'] because the different subforms appear in a random order and have different variable names. I assume I could still put some checks in the template, but it seems easier to fix this in the widget class, like override one of the render functions or something. How would I go about doing this or do you have any links that could help me understand how do do this? on a side note, one of my widgets is the sfWidgetFormChoice and I have no clue where it actually renders or how renderer_classes work

  I am doing some reviison from the lecture slides and it says a constructor is executed in the following way; If the constructor starts with this, recursively execute the indicated constructor, then go to step 4. Invoke the explicitly or implicitly indicated superclass constructor (unless this class is java.lang.Object) Initialise the fields of the object in the order in which they were declared in this class Execute the rest of the body of this constructor. What i dont undertsand is that, a constructor can never "start" with this, because even if it forms no class heirarchy/relationship then super() is inserted by default. How would this fit in with the description above? Thanks
