• Mapkit: Only show annotations in current view

  Instead of loading all annotations that are in my array, I would only like to load the annotations that the user could currently see cased on how far they are zoomed in on the map. So, if the user pans to a place where there are annotations, those would be added, and if they pan away, those would be removed. I assume this would help with memory. Does anyone know how to do something like this? And, is it worth it, or needed?

  Hi there! Maybe a FAQ at this website. I have a TableViewController that holds a form. In that form I have two fields (each in it's own cell): one to select who paid (single selection), and another to select people expense is paid for (multiple selection). Both fields open a new TableViewController included in an UINavigationController. Single select field (Paid By) holds an object Membership Multiple select field (Paid For) holds an object NSMutableArray Both vars are being sent to the new controller identically the same way: mySingleSelectController.crSelectedMember = self.crPaidByMember; myMultipleSelectController.crSelectedMembers = self.crSelectedMembers; From Paid for controller I use didSelectAtIndexPath method to set a mutable array of Memberships for whom is paid: if ([[tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath] accessoryType] == UITableViewCellAccessoryCheckmark) { [self.crSelectedMembers removeObject:[self.crGroupMembers objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]]; //... } else { [self.crSelectedMembers addObject:[self.crGroupMembers objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]]; //... } So far everything goes well. An mutable array (crSelectedMembers) is perfectly set from child view. But... I have trouble setting Membership object. From Paid By controller I use didSelectAtIndexPath to set Membership: [self setCrSelectedMember:[crGroupMembers objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]]; By NSlogging crSelectedMember I get the right selected member in self, but in parent view, to which ivar is pointed, nothing is changed. Am I doing something wrong? Cause I CAN call the method of crSelectedMembers, but I can't change the value of crSelectedMember.

• jQuery "Autcomplete" plugin is messing up the order of my data

  I'm using Jorn Zaefferer's Autocomplete plugin on a couple of different pages. In both instances, the order of displayed strings is a little bit messed up. Example 1: array of strings: basically they are in alphabetical order except for General Knowledge which has been pushed to the top: General Knowledge,Art and Design,Business Studies,Citizenship,Design and Technology,English,Geography,History,ICT,Mathematics,MFL French,MFL German,MFL Spanish,Music,Physical Education,PSHE,Religious Education,Science,Something Else Displayed strings: General Knowledge,Geography,Art and Design,Business Studies,Citizenship,Design and Technology,English,History,ICT,Mathematics,MFL French,MFL German,MFL Spanish,Music,Physical Education,PSHE,Religious Education,Science,Something Else Note that Geography has been pushed to be the second item, after General Knowledge. The rest are all fine. Example 2: array of strings: as above but with Cross-curricular instead of General Knowledge.   I want to do exactly what this question asks: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/586888/cascade-saves-with-fluent-nhibernate-automapping Using Fluent Nhibernate Mappings to turn on "cascade" globally once for all classes and relation types using one call rather than setting it for each mapping individually. The answer to the earlier question looks great, but I'm afraid that the Fluent Nhibernate API altered its .WithConvention syntax last year and broke the answer... either that or I'm missing something. I keep getting a bunch of name space not found errors relating to the IOneToOnePart, IManyToOnePart and all their variations: "The type or namespace name 'IOneToOnePart' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)" I've tried the official example dll's, the RTM dll's and the latest build and none of them seem to make VS 2008 see the required namespace.   I want to send an image from a J2ME client to a Servlet. Their values are 0A and 0D hex. Exactly, the Carriage Return and Line Feed. Thus, either POST method or readLine() are not able to accept 0A and 0D values. Any one have any idea how to do this, or how to use any another method?

• Help matching fields between two classes

  I'm not too experienced with Java yet, and I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction because right now I feel like I'm just beating my head against a wall... The first class is called MeasuredParams, and it's got 40+ numeric fields (height, weight, waistSize, wristSize - some int, but mostly double). The second class is a statistical classifier called Classifier. It's been trained on a subset of the MeasuredParams fields. The names of the fields that the Classifier has been trained on is stored, in order, in an array called reqdFields. What I need to do is load a new array, toClassify, with the values stored in the fields from MeasuredParams that match the field list (including order) found in reqdFields. I can make any changes necessary to the MeasuredParams class, but I'm stuck with Classifier as it is. My brute-force approach was to get rid of the fields in MeasuredParams and use an arrayList instead, and store the field names in an Enum object to act as an index pointer. Then loop through the reqdFields list, one element at a time, and find the matching name in the Enum object to find the correct position in the arrayList. Load the value stored at that positon into toClassify, and then continue on to the next element in reqdFields. I'm not sure how exactly I would search through the Enum object - it would be a lot easier if the field names were stored in a second arrayList. But then the index positions between the two would have to stay matched, and I'm back to using an Enum. I think. I've been running around in circles all afternoon, and I keep thinking there must be an easier way of doing it. I'm just stuck right now and can't see past what I've started. Make sure you use the correct version of jQuery UI library to be able to use them. The Google CDN only offers jQuery UI up to version 1.5.2. Some other components are only available from jQuery UI SVN, since they have been removed from the announced 1.6 release. autoComplete($id, $value, $params, $attribs): The AutoComplete View helper will be included in a future jQuery UI version (currently only via jQuery SVN) and creates a text field and registeres it to have auto complete functionality. The completion data source has to be given as jQuery related parameters 'url' or 'data' as described in the jQuery UI manual. • Violating 1st normal form, is it okay for my purpose?

  So I'm making a running log, and I have the workouts stored as entries in a table. For each workout, the user can add intervals (which consist of a time and a distance), so I have an array like this: [workout] => [description] => [comments] => ... [intervals] => [0] => [distance] => 200m [time] => 32 [1] => [distance] => 400m [time] => 65 ... I'm really tempted to throw the "intervals" array into serialize() or json_encode() and put it in an "intervals" field in my table, however this violates the principles of good database design (which, incidentally, I know hardly anything about). Is there any disadvantage to doing this? I never plan on querying my table based on the contents of "intervals". Creating a separate table just for intervals seems like a lot of unnecessary complexity, so if anyone with more experience has had a situation like this, what route did you take and how did it work out?

  I'm trying to get an array of events from Google Calendar using the Private URL. I read the Google API document but I want to try doing this without using the ZEND library since I have no idea what the eventual server file structure is and avoid having other people edit the codes. I also did a search before posting and ran into the same condition where PHP CURL_EXEC returns false with the URL but I get a JSON file if the URL is open using a web browser. Since I'm using the Private URL, do I really need to authenticate against the Google server using ZEND?
