  I'm creating a program that checks if a word or phrase is a palindrome. I have the actual "palindrome tester" figured out. What I'm stuck with is where and what to place in my code to have the console read out "Enter palindrome..." and then text. I've tried with IO but it doesnt work out right. Also, how do I create a loop to keep going? If there is no query string, the results should not be filtered, all results should be returned. • What is the fastest way to create a checksum for large files in C#

  Hi, I have to sync large files across some machines. The files can be up to 6GB in size. The sync will be done manually every few weeks. I cant take the filename into consideration because they can change anytime. My plan is to create checksums on the destination PC and on the source PC and than copy all files with a checksum, which are not already in the destination, to the destination. I've looked through the documentation for sqlalchemy and saw that the sqlite_autoincrement can be issued. An example where this attribute is given can be found here. sqlite_autoincrement seems though to be issued when creating the table itself, and I just wondered how it can be supplied when using a declarative style of the model such as mine.

Whenever you call a method that implicitly uses it, it fails with a NotSupportedException, that can be resolved with a configuration switch that makes it fall back to the old behavior. We have a common library that's used in both .NET 3.5 and .NET 4, so we need to be able to tell wether or not we should use the CAS method. • Hex representation of Euro Symbol €

  Hi I was using XVI32 (Hex Editor) to get the hex representation of the Euro symbol and it gives me the value as 80. Another site: http://www.string-functions.com/string-hex.aspx does the same. I am not able to understand why the hex representation is 80 instead of 0x20AC. This 0X80 gives 128 in decimal and if I use Alt+0128 it actually produces the Euro symbol. Could somebody throw some light on what could be the logic behind this conversion from string to hex conversion ? Thanks

  Hello, i have some problem with creating a function to my Rails app. I want it to work like this: str = "string here" if str.within_range?(3..30) puts "It's withing the range!" end To do that i added this into my application helper: def within_range?(range) if self.is_a?(String) (range).include?(self.size) elsif self.is_a?(Integer) (range).include?(self) end end But i get this error: undefined method `within_range?' for &quot;&quot;:String Do you know what the problem is? and could you please help me.   Hi i'm new to Task queue concepts when i referred the guide I got struck on this line queue.add( DatastoreServiceFactory.getDatastoreService().getCurrentTransaction(), TaskOptions().url("/path/to/my/worker")); what is TaskOptions() method. Is it default method are method created manually what will TaskOptions() method will return. I created a method called TaskOption() when i to return a string value its saying error as "The method url(String) is undefined for the type String" In url what i want to specify servlet are any other. Everything is great, but I really don't understand how to set in JSON Marshalling and Unmarshalling converting option for dates and numbers. I have a User class: @XmlRootElement public class User { private String username; private String password; private java.util.Date createdOn; // ... getters and setters } When createdOn property is serialized, a string like this: '2010-05-12T00:00:00+02:00', but I need to choose date Pattern both, to marshall and unmarshall.   If you do something like this in your Repository: IQueryable<CarClass> GetCars(string condition, params object[] values) { return db.Cars.Where(condition, values); } And you set the condition and values outside of the repository: string condition = "CarMake == @Make"; object[] values = new string[] { Make = "Ford" }; var result = myRepo.GetCars( condition, values); How would you be able to sort the result outside of the repository with Dynamic Query? return View( "myView", result.OrderBy("Price")); Somehow I am losing the DynamicQuery nature when the data exits from the repository. And yes, I haven't worked out how to return the CarClass type where you would normally do a Select new Carclass { fieldName = m.fieldName, ... }

  Hello, is it possible to authenticate programmatically a user in J2ee 6? Let me explain with some more details: I've got an existing Java SE project with Servlets and hibernate; where I manage manually all the authentication and access control: class Authenticator { int Id string username } Authenticator login(string username, string password) ; void doListData(Authenticator auth) { if (isLoggedIn(auth)) listData(); else doListError } void doUpdateData (Authenticator auth) { if (isLoggedAsAdmin(auth)) updateData() ; else doListError(); } void doListError () { listError() ; } And Im integrating J2ee/jpa/servlet 3/... (Glassfish 3) in this project. I've seen anotations like : @RolesAllowed ("viewer") void doListdata (...) { istData() ; } @RolesAllowed("admin") void doUpdateData (...) { updateData() ; } @PermotAll void dolisterror () { listerror() ; } but how can I manually state, in login(), that my user is in the admin and/or viewer role?
