• jQuery sortable: Revert changes if update callback makes an AJAX call that fails?

  I am using the jQuery sortable() feature to re-order a list of items. After an item is drug to a new location, I kick off an AJAX form post to the server to save the new order. How can I undo the sort (e.g. return the drug item to its original position in the list) if I receive an error message from the server? Basically, I only want the re-order to "stick" if the server confirms that the changes were saved.

• vagrant box add: where does .box file get downloaded to?

  What actually happens to the .box file (which according to the docs is simply a vbox image in tar form, in a particular format) after the first command vagrant box add lucid32 http://files.vagrantup.com/lucid32.box is executed? I can't seem to find the filesystem location of lucid32.box after the download has successfully completed... I am aware it doesn't really matter as vagrant init lucid32 vagrant up vagrant ssh will get me into the vm irregardless. But I am curious where .box is located.

As a last resort I'm willing to create them myself - a move that might make them (and my whole application) look amazingly bad. I get the event fired when I click the same index as the current selected index. My expectation is that I will not get the event fired. For instance both DevExpress and Telerik have their own Panel, Label, and UpdatePanel controls among others. Why do vendors do this? Is it just to create a form of lock in or is it actually necessary?

  I have data in the form of four columns. The first three columns represent time, value1, value 2. The fourth column is binary, all 0's or 1's. Is there a way to tell excel to delete time, value1 and value 2, when the corresponding binary value in column four is 0?
