    Does anyone know a good way to test if one element, stored in a var, is the child of another, also stored in a var? I don't need element1.isChildOf('selector'), that's easy. I need element1.isChildOf(element2) element2.find(element1).size() > 0 Does not seem to work. I don't want to have to write a plugin the uses .each to test each child if I can avoid it.

    I'm looking for a good open source multi-touch API to use in a project we might get. So far I've found PyMT, but haven't really seen any comments on the maturity of that product, so any input in that regard would be much appreciated. I'd also like some other suggestions on API's that might be of interest, since googling have only given so much, and as with PyMT, it is quite difficult finding opinions on the frameworks out there. It let users submit links to their favorite books for various programming languages, and write a short blurb about why they're so good. You could include their Amazon page and the website would grab a cover picture. I've since lost that bookmark and am trying to find it again, anyone know what site I'm talking about?     Can someone point me to a good definition of Gauge32 vs Counter32? I understand that Counter32 can wrap, but Gauge32 can't. I'm trying to understand their semantics. It creates the file my_file.txt in home dir. However I can only manage -rw------- 1 me www-data 16 2009-10-11 19:35 my_file.txt How do I add 'r' permissions for www-data group ?

So, for instance, you have an enum Fruit{Apple,Orange,Banana,Pear, ... } NetworkConnectionType{LAN,Data_3g,Data_4g, ... } I am opposed to naming it: FruitEnum NetworkConnectionTypeEnum I understand it is easy to pick off which files are enums, but then you would also have: NetworkConnectionClass FruitClass Also, is there a good document describing the same for constants, where to declare them, etc.?     I know inline Javascript is frowned upon and with the new on-the-fly Javascript compressors that check for idle/unused function usage and omit the unused code, it seems good practice to have all your Javascript in an external file. My question is, in situations like FOUC (flash of unstyled content) which usually require little snippets of code right before the closing </body> tag, is there a JQuery resolution that would serve the same purpose, but from a remote Javascript file linked in the <head> of the document?
