    I'm using Richfaces jsf and I want to iterate over an Map<Object,Object>. I see many examples on sun forums and other sites but in my case it doesn't work ! here is my xhtml code : <c:forEach items="#{order.customOptions}" var="option"> <h:outputText value="this text does not print"/> <h:outputText value="#{option.value.name}" /> <h:outputText value="#{option.value.key}" /> </c:forEach> and the "order" object is of type "Order". "customOptios" is of type Map<CustomOption,CustomOptionValue> and when I create an javascript alert on to print '#{order.customeOptions}' it's content is true. but it's not even enter in c:forEach loop. please heeeeelp me :(

    One particular problem I was having was using ${word_selection} in an Eclipse PDT template. I was recently trying to use some code templates with Eclipse PDT 2.1 to speed up some common tasks. We use a lot of getters/setters, so I wrote the following template. function get${word_selection}() { return $$this->getData('${word_selection}'); } function set${word_selection}($$${word_selection}) { $$this->setData('${word_selection}', $$${word_selection}); } I named the template "getset" and the only way I know to use the Code Assist is to type: "getset" then hit my code assist keys (I have it set to Esc, but I think the default was Ctrl+Space). The problem is, this doesn't actually let me select a word to be used by the ${word_selection}. how do I type in my template name, hit the key combo, and have a word selected all at the same time? I also want to know what kinds of templates people have set up and any other tips for using templates to speed of programming.

    I want to search a table in editing mode, but when I type a letter the variable tableView.editing is changed to NO. And when I cancel the search, the tableView.editing return to YES. I'd like to retain the editing YES in the result of the search. I put breakpoint in several methods.     What is the format string modifier for char-as-number? I want to read in a number never exceeding 255 (actually much less) into an unsigned char type variable using sscanf. Using the typical char source[] = "x32"; char separator; unsigned char dest; int len; len = sscanf(source,"%c%d",&separator,&dest); // validate and proceed... I'm getting the expected warning: argument 4 of sscanf is type char*, int* expected. As I understand the specs, there is no modifier for char (like %sd for short, or %lld for 64-bit long) is it dangerous? (will overflow just overflow (roll-over) the variable or will it write outside the allocated space?) is there a prettier way to achieve that than allocating a temporary int variable? ...or would you suggest an entirely different approach altogether?

  • Drupal auto change user role in module

    I am trying to write a module that will change a user's permissions once a node form is inserted into the database. I already have a role assigned when a user registers, but i want that role to be changed once they create a 'company' profile in this case which is when they fill out a cck form of 'company_post' type. My code is below... switch ($op) { case 'insert': if ($node->type == 'company_post') { } ? im not sure what to put in the if statement because I don't really know how to reference the users roles or how to change them. ? So my question is what code can I use to change the users current role to a new role? (Both roles are already created in drupal and have seperate permissions)

  • Why is Magento 1.4 including javascript files by filesystem path?

    I am in the process of testing a Magento 1.3 site using Magento 1.4. I am seeing very weird and inconsistent behavior. Instead of including the URL of my javascript files, Magento is creating tags with the full filesystem path of the js files, as so: <script type="text/javascript" src="/home/my_username/public_html/js/prototype/prototype.js"></script> I believe this is related to the new "Themes JavaScript and CSS files combined to one file" function. In fact, when I log into the admin and click "Flush JavaScript/CSS Cache", then the first page load is successful, and I see a single JS include similar to: <script type="text/javascript" src="/media/js/5b8cfac152fcb2a5f93ef9571d338c54.js"></script> But subsequent age loads load every single JS file, with the full path names. Which obviously isn't going to work. Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong or how to fix this issue?

  • Is there any way, short of "copy and paste inheritence" to share a .net class with a Silverlight app

    I have a project in two parts: a Silverlight front end and a WCF duplex service. Ideally, I would like to pass a message of a custom type (call it TradeOffer) from the WCF service to be consumed by the Silverlight application. When I try to, I get an error that indicates I can't pass an object of an unknown type across the wire like that and that, maybe, I could do so if I used the InternalsVisibleTo attribute on the server component. I'm not sure if that would work in this environment and know it would be messy in development. I originally put the message definition in a library to be used by both the service and the client, but couldn't add a reference to the library from the Silverlight client (because it's not a Silverlight assembly.) Is there some way I can access the definition of a message class from both the Silverlight client that consumes it and the service that publishes it without using the InternalsVisibleTo attribute or should I write the application another way?

    Hello, I am looking to give the impression of zooming in from a large image to a detailed area of that image, over time, when the page loads - using javascript (jquery, preferably). I have been given the following flash site as a reference (action happens just after title fades in): http://www.delicatessennyc.com/ Not sure if this is even possible. I know I could switch out the large image for a smaller one - but my boss is hellbent of achieving this flash-type action using javascript. Please note, I've searched the plugins and I've not found anything like what I'm looking for. And I'm so new to this type of coding that cobbling it together from scratch seems daunting.     I tried to make an accordion effect with JavaScript based off this video altering a few things like using an input button instead of a link for the selector. However for some reason it's not working. Firefox error console outputs unkown pseudo-class or pseudo-element "visible" everytime I try to use it.     I try to write a simple Ajax client to send and receive messages. It's successfully deployed but I have never received msg from the client. I am beating myself to think out what I am missing, but still can't make it work.   • Too many open files error in Glassfish3 while using https listener

    I have a problem running webservice that requires https connection(Glassfish3). After running for a while, it eventually crashes. Log file show "Failed to load keystore type JKS with path ....config/keystore.jks due to ...config/keystore.jks (Too many open files)". lsof shows that a number of open files are constantly increasing (among others, I noticed that there are many files with type 'sock' and undefined protocol that never get closed). I tried changing the limit of open files, but it resulted in a longer time before crashing... I blamed the webservice, but everything works fine if the application doesn't require confidential protocol. Did I miss anything in http listener configuration ? Or it is rather an application error?   • jquery checkbox help

    The Problem I am trying to run some ajax on one my pages for my website, basically I have three checkboxes all of which on pageload are unselected, when a checkbox is clicked I need to be able load in via ajax the relevant HTML. This system is currently a PHP script that depending on what the POST is set returns a different view, so I think all I need to is send the POST via AJAX, but I need to do everytime a new checkbox is checked.   • Enum in Hibernate, persisting as an enum

    In my MySQL database, there's the column "gender enum('male','female')" I've created my enum "com.mydomain.myapp.enums.Gender", and in my Person entity I'm defined "Gender gender". Now I'd want to keep the enum type in my MySQL database, but when I launch my application I get: Wrong column type in MyApp.Person for column Gender. Found: enum, expected: integer Why is this? This would be the equivalent as if I'd annotated my "Gender gender" with "@Enumerated(EnumType.ORDINAL)", which I haven't. EnumType seems only to be able to be either ORDINAL or STRING, so how do I specify that it should treat the field as an enum, not as an int? (not that there's much difference, but enough for it to get upset about it.)

  • WCF issues with KnownType for Dictionary

    Hi, I have a service that implements the following DataMember: [DataMember] public Dictionary<string, List<IOptionQueryResult>> QueryResultItems { get; set; } I have the class "OptionQuerySingleResult" which inherits from IOptionQueryResult. Now, I understand that I need to make the OptionQueryResult type "known" to the Service and thus tried to add the KnownType in various ways: [KnownType(typeof(Dictionary<string, OptionQuerySingleResult[]>))] [KnownType(typeof(Dictionary<string, List<OptionQuerySingleResult>>))] [KnownType(typeof(OptionQuerySingleResult)] However, none of those approaches worked and on the client side I'm either getting that deserialization failed or the server simply aborted the request, causing a connection aborted error. Does anyone have an idea on what's the proper way to get this to work? I'd like to add, the if I change the QueryResultItems definition to use the concrete type, instead of the interface, everything works just fine. Thanks, Tom

  • conversion of a varchar to a smalldatetime results in an out-of-range value

    The code: strSql = "insert into table2 (transactiondate) values ('" & transactiondate & "')" seems to be giving me the runtime error: The conversion of a varchar data type to a smalldatetime data type resulted in an out-of-range value In the code, strSql is a String object and transactiondate is a Date object. In the SQL database however, transactiondate is a smalldatetime object. I've tried changing the smalldatetime to a datetime (in the database) and I've tried transactiondate.toString() but with no success. How can this be fixed? Note: I know about the dangers of inline SQL. I am looking for a quick fix solution here and not a discussion about SQL injection.

The links are executed when I choose "open in new tab" option from context menu. Can someone please help me with this?

    When using a nosql type datastore like Cassandra, how would you return a result set based on a column? e.g. SELECT * FROM Articles WHERE category='blah' ORDER BY datetime DESC is this something that you would store in a sql db and then pull the data from cassandra? Or can cassandra handle this type of query? (assuming millions of rows in a db) From what I understand, cassandra is great at key based lookups, confused if it can and should be used for getting a list of data back and paging that data also (and if it is highly performant)

    I just installed icicles with emacs, and so far I am liking it a lot. I'm not entirely sure if this is possible, but I would like to implement (or use, if it already exists) a feature in icicles that would auto-complete words from an English dictionary. So, if I'm writing something and need a word that rhymes with floor, I can type in *or, or even better, for alliteration, type in flo* and have it return all the words from the dictionary that start with flo Questions: Does something like this exist? If it does not exist, what would be the best way to go about this? Should I somehow hook into aspell? Or just index a long file of words?
