  I'm trying to bind a WPF combobox to an observable collection of images. Here is my collection: public class AvatarPhoto { public int AvatarId { get; set; } public BitmapImage AvatarImage { get; set; } } public ObservableCollection<AvatarPhoto> AvailableProfilePictures { get; private set; } Here is my xaml: Visual Studio gives me this compile time error: Property 'ItemTemplate' does not support values of type 'Image'. • How can I separate Logic/UI in Android

  Hi, I want as my application to be structured in 2 parts: the logic code and the UI. I've tried to implement that using a controller class(here I keep the logic code) inside of each activity. The activity send messages to controller and receive the answer in two ways: the answer is returned immediately (if the action is not complex and it can be done in a verry short time) the activity set some listeners and the controller fire this listener when the action is complete. The problems appears when the controller have a lot of objects(each object should handle a set of actions and for each action I have to set & trigger a listener): it is hard to keep the code syncronized. I'm asking if you know a better way to implement this mechanism. Thank you.

  I'm getting the message "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document." I have a S#arp Architecture project (ASP.NET MVC v1) that has been opened and upgraded to be used in VS 2010. I can no longer debug the project. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. I have IE set to be my default browser. I have the build set to debug. System.Web.Mvc is referenced in my project's lib dir. I've cleaned the solution. I've recompiled the solution. It's set to use .NET Framework 3.5. PDBs are being created and dropped into the bin directory with the DLLs. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  Hi, I want to send an array of objects in the get request string. I know this isn't the optimal solution, but I really just want to get this up and running. If I have a class, something like this public class Data { public int a { get; set; } public int b { get; set; } } public class RequestViewData { public IList<Data> MyData { get; set; } } I thought I could bind the MVC route to a web request like this http://localhost:8080/Request?MyData[0].a=1&MyData[0].b=2&MyData[1].a=3&[MyData[1].b=4 But all this does is create an array of two data objects without populating the values 1,2, 3 or 4. Is there a way to bind complex objects arrays?

  I have a simple class Main with private static int x and an aspect that should output the old value of x before it is reassigned: public class Main { private static int x; public static void main(String[] args) { foo(7); } public static void foo(int y) { x = y; } } and MonitorX.aj: public aspect MonitorX { before() : set(static int Main.x){ System.out.println(Main.x); } } which doesn't work since I can't access private x using Main.x. I've also tried: before(int t) : set(static int Main.x) && target(t){ System.out.println(t); } which doesn't work either (nothing is outputted, if I try to output string, it seems that the aspect isn't invoked at all). However printing out the new value that is being assigned works: before(int newVal) : set(static int Main.x) && args(newVal){ System.out.println(newVal); } What am I missing?

• Show UIView for app presentation only once in iOS

  I need to show an UIScrollView with some pages for present the app to user when launched for the first time. My slides are working correctly, lefting the logic to present it. Is a good practice to set the UIScrollViewController as root controller and set a NSUserDefault variable to control the presentation and redirect to main controller or set the main ViewController as root normally and call the presentation view if needed is a better approach? If there is a better way to do this can someone help? Thanks.

• asp.net forms authentication timing out after 1 minute

  I'm using ASP.NET MVC 3 with the Authorize attribute, but it keeps kicking me to the logon page after 1 minute, but even though my expiration is set to a very high value, it times out quickly. I check the cookie in my browser and its still there and not set to expire until about a month later, and it's set to be persistent, so I'm not sure why it keeps booting me. I have a PDO mysql that updates 3 fields. $update = $mypdo->prepare("UPDATE tablename SET field1=:field1, field2=:field2, field3=:field3 WHERE key=:key"); But I want field3 to be updated only when $update3 = true; (meaning that the update of field3 is controlled by a conditional statement) Is this possible to accomplish with a single query? I could do it with 2 queries where I update field1 and field2 then check the boolean and update field3 if needed in a separate query. //run this query to update only fields 1 and 2 $update_part1 = $mypdo->prepare("UPDATE tablename SET field1=:field1, field2=:field2 WHERE key=:key"); //if field3 should be update, run a separate query to update it separately if ($update3){ $update_part2 = $mypdo->prepare("UPDATE tablename SET field3=:field3 WHERE key=:key"); } But hopefully there is a way to accomplish this in 1 query?

  I am trying to use UITabController as may controller in my main window and add navigation controllers to some tab bar items. For example, the first tab has a navigation controller with table view: ![alt text][1] The SettingsViewController is associated with its own NIB file, where a table view is defined. Within that xib file, I have a table view and set it to the outlet of SettingsViewController class property myTableView. The problem is that in the main xib file, for the SettingsViewController navigation, there is one outlet myTableView. I am not sure if I have to set this to somewhere? • AJAX CascadingDropdown - Setting the selected index

  I have a CascadingDropDown on an ASP.NET page. Now, the prompt text is "Select State". (list of states). However, on a different version of this page (ie querystring), i might want to set the selected index to "California" for example. How can i do this? The web service used by the ajax control (ie GetStates) gets invoked at the same time the jquery document.ready function is triggered (ie asynchronously). So when i try and set the selected index in jquery, the items are not yet bound. Is there a way to attach a handler to the ajax dropdown so that i can set the selected index once the webservice call has completed, and the items are bound?

  Hi, I have set up OpenSSH in my windows environment and wants to invoke a ANT script from a Linux environment. [sshexec] We cannot execute java [sshexec] which: not found BUILD SUCCESSFUL Total time: 2 seconds But, i can invoke the remote ANT script in Linux environment using SSHEXEC from windows. Can you please let me know, what could be the issue. JAVA_HOME is set in the windows environment variables. Where to set JAVA_HOME in the windows environment. Is there something similar to .bash_profile in windows. So that ANT process can pick it up.

  I'm trying to add little icons to my tabs in WPF but having trouble with how to set up the binding. <TabItem.Header> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <Image Source="{Binding Source=prop:Resources.eye}" /> <Label VerticalAlignment="Center">Header</Label> </StackPanel> </TabItem.Header> The xmlns:prop is set up for the local project's Properties, I am pulling other values from it elsewhere so I know that the namespace works. The markup above compiles fine BUT I don't see the eye image in the tab. Also, is there any way to set this up into a template? I'm fairly new to XAML/WPF and each tab will have its own image...

• Obtaining photo 'stars' rating using PHP

  I am trying to extract the photo 'stars' rating from .jpg files using php code. My intent is to show the highest rated images as part of a slideshow. I found that using the PHP_JPEG_Metadata_Toolkit_1.11 I am able to get the rating of the file if the rating is set from within Vista (Right click - Properties - Details - Set rating by clicking on stars) by reading the array returned by the Metadata_Toolkit $exif = get_EXIF_JPEG( $photodir . "/" . $filename ); $rating = $exif[0][18246]['Data'][0]; However if I set the rating using Adobe Bridge, I can see the 'stars' in Vista, but the $exif[0][18246]['Data'][0] returns a null value. Is PHP code available to read the ratings applied by both Windows Vista AND Adobe Bridge?

  The version information, displayed when the mouse cursor hovers over the file in windows explorer, is set for a file built by visual studio in the VERSION resource. I would like to set the version in one place for all the files built by a solution, preferably when I change the version in the install properties. Is there a way to do this? The motivation for this is that if the version is not updated for a file, then the installer will leave previous versions of files instead of replacing them with new files. This happens even when the 'RemovePreviousVersions' property is set. In order to save the tedious and error prone task of updating the version in every file built and installed, I remove the version resource from all files - which is not elegant.
