  • detailsView title and description stays the same, not refreshing ...

    I have some values on my tableview coming from database. I simply tap one of them, navigate to detailsView then I can see the title and description of that value on my navigation controller. (title on navigation bar, description on text view in detailsView) but when I wanted to search, I click search bar, keyboard comes up from the bottom, tableview minimizes a bit then find what I want from table. I tap again but titles and descriptions show very first value of my table view .. It does not show the correct title and description. Whenever I searched, it shows the title and description of very first value on my table view..

    I have a widget that periodically updates itself (hourly) to display top result of search query. I would like to extend it so it captures several top results and then loops through these. The best example would be Genie News and Weather widget for which I was unable to find a source code. QUESTIONS: What would be a good way to implement the animation? I'm thinking ViewAnimator + timer, but is there maybe a better way, say FrameLayout + alerts? I'm already using AlertManager to periodically pull search results for the widget How bad such arraignment would affect phone's battery life?

    Hi, I am generating some list items as a result of a search, and I want to attach some data to each list element from the search (possibly a bad idea to merge ui and data), but now curious about it. I am doing this: var element = $("<li>Hello</li>); element.mydata = "foo"; element.appendTo("#panelParent"); so I'm just assigning my stuff to element.mydata. My click handler reports that no such data exists for the element when clicked: $('#panelParent').delegate('li', 'click', function() { // this.mydata is undefined. }); where did it go to? I could keep the data external to the a list item element, was wondering if there's a convenient way like this to just keep it bound though? Thanks

It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off". Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL. please help me i place the but even though it is not working it is giving same error.   • Correct Path for Git Remote Add from Amazon EC2 Instance to OSX Client Machine

    I'm trying to do a git remote add from a repository that sits on a remote Amazon AMI back to a cloned copy of the SAME repository that is sitting on my local OSX machine. I'm confused about what file path to use. I assume it's something like: git remote add my_clone <OSX_User_Name>@<OSX_HOST_NAME>:<PATH_TO_CLONED_REPO> I obviously know what my <OSX_User_Name> is, and I can figure out my <PATH_TO_CLONED_REPO>, but I have no idea how to determine a <OSX_HOST_NAME> that would actually work. Can I just put in my external IP address, followed by my machine's internal IP address? (Note that I'm working behind a router.) Is ssh:// the correct protocol? Do I need to set up ssh access from the Amazon EC2 machine to the local OSX machine?

    I am working on saving twitter search results into a database (SQL Server) and am getting an error when I pull the search results from twitteR. If I execute: library(twitteR) puppy <- as.data.frame(searchTwitter("puppy", session=getCurlHandle(),num=100)) I get an error of: Error in as.data.frame.default(x[[i]], optional = TRUE) : cannot coerce class structure("status", package = "twitteR") into a data.frame This is important because in order to use RODBC to add this to a table using sqlSave it needs to be a data.frame. At least that's the error message I got: Error in sqlSave(localSQLServer, puppy, tablename = "puppy_staging", : should be a data frame So does anyone have any suggestions on how to coerce the list to a data.frame or how I can load the list through RODBC?

  • What is the main purpose of WebExceptionStatus.Success?

    I am a bit confused about the purpose of the enum value Success of the WebExceptionStatus enumeration. I did a search and did not find this enumeration being used outside the WebException class. This is very confusing to me. Why would an exception be used to indicate a successful action/state. Am I missing something, or did I not search thouroughly enough? Was it introduced for future functionality? Please if anyone does know its basic purpose I would be thankfull if s/he shares with us the explanation.

  • Sync framework 2.0 smart device to server

    We have a requirement very similar to that shown in the Occasionally Connected Application (OCA) diagram on the Introduction to Sync Framework Database Synchronization article. We can't however find any examples on how the clients at the bottom are syncing between each other. Particularly, how a smart device syncs with another client each having a local .sdf database. There are lots of examples of a smart device to a server over wcf where the server is running full sql but not smart device to server with local cache. Does anyone have any ideas or examples. Thanks

    i have a query like this: ID | name | commentsCount 1 | mysql for dummies | 33 2 | mysql beginners guide | 22 SELECT ..., commentsCount // will return 33 for first row, 22 for second one FROM mycontents WHERE name LIKE "%mysql%" also i want to know the total of comments, of all rows: SELECT ..., SUM(commentsCount) AS commentsCountAggregate // should return 55 FROM mycontents WHERE name LIKE "%mysql%" but this one obviously returns a single row with the total. now i want to merge these two queries in one single only, because my actual query is very heavy to execute (it uses boolean full text search, substring offset search, and sadly lot more), then i don't want to execute it twice is there a way to get the total of comments without making the SELECT twice? !! custom functions are welcome !! also variable usage is welcome, i never used them...

    I have a get form with several visible and hidden input fields. When the form is submitted, selected fileds with their values are appended to the url in the order they are placed in the form. Is there a way to re-order the parameters in the url using jQuery? Note that for the reasons of usability, I can not re-order the elements on the form itself. I know it beggs the question "why would I want to do it?", but the reason is that I will be hitting a static page, so the order of the parameters have to be exactly how they are in the static page url.     I have this weird issue,when I use > File FileToRead = new File("\\\\MYSERVER\\MYFOLDER\\MYFOLDER\\MYPICTURE.JPG"); to read a file over a network,all I get is a null pointer exception.Normally a local path works with this,but when on a network path,I just couldn't manage to get it to work.Any ideas? PS:oh and my network connection seems to work,no issues when accessing data in windows explorer...     I have a copy of a code running ont he prod server, and I sue my local machine(s) running xampp as a dev server. I have several websites that I actively develop, so Im forced to use http://localhost/sitename All my URLs are relative to the domain, (/file.php). They work fine on the prod server, but on a local server, they all point to localhost, when I want to make them all work relative to the site folder they are in. Is there anything I could do, other than what I do now, which is this: if($_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] == "localhost") { $path_to = "http://" . $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME'] . The substrings that start with '+[0-9]' followed by '[A-z]{n}.' need to be replaced with simply '+' where the variable n is the digit from earlier in the substring. Can that n be back referenced?   • How does the CLR (.NET) internally allocate and pass around custom value types (structs)?

    Question: Do all CLR value types, including user-defined structs, live on the evaluation stack exclusively, meaning that they will never need to be reclaimed by the garbage-collector, or are there cases where they are garbage-collected? Background: I have previously asked a question on SO about the impact that a fluent interface has on the runtime performance of a .NET application. I was particuarly worried that creating a large number of very short-lived temporary objects would negatively affect runtime performance through more frequent garbage-collection. Now it has occured to me that if I declared those temporary objects' types as struct (ie. as user-defined value types) instead of class, the garbage collector might not be involved at all if it turns out that all value types live exclusively on the evaluation stack. What I've found out so far: I did a brief experiment to see what the differences are in the CIL generated for user-defined value types and reference types.     I am building a search with the keywords cached in a table. Before a user-inputted keyword is looked up in the table, it is normalized. For example, some punctuation like '-' is removed and the casing is standardized. The normalized keyword is then used to find fetch the search results. I am currently handling the normalization in the controller with a before_filter. I was wondering if there was a way to do this in the model instead. Something conceptually like a "before_find" callback would work although that wouldn't make sense on for an instance level.

Something like: SELECT * FROM table WHERE keyword like '%searchterm%'; Here is the basic document structure [id] => 31605 [keywords] => Array ( [keyword1] => Array ( [name] => KeyWord1 ) [keyword2] => Array ( [name] => KeyWord2 ) ... ) I would like to do a search within the keywords array on the associative array key [keyword1, keyword2]. The issue is that the name key holds the case-sensitive version of the keyword and the array key is the lower-case keyword name. I could store the lowercase keyword twice, but that seems silly.

  • Deploying Rails app over VPN

    You'll have to bear with me as I'm not a Ruby dev, but have inherited a Ruby system. I need to deploy some changes to the app from my repository to the server. I've been instructed to run cap deploy and told that that script will get the latest code from my repository and deploy it to the server. My problem is that I have to VPN to get to the production server and the VPN client then blocks access to my local network, cutting off the repository. So my question is, how can I change my deploy.rb so that I can deploy from my local machine instead? Or is there a better way. If you need to see the deploy.rb, please let me know. Thanks Dave
