• Adding Parameters to Zend_Navigation

  I have a problem with Zend_Navigation that I am hoping for a little guidance on. I'm in the process of adding a Zend_Navigation to a legacy app as described [here on SO].1 The thing that I am not sure of is how to add parameters to the navigation menu after the data is loaded from the xml file. What I want to do is get 2 identifying parameters from the url and add them to the Zend_Navigation so that they are included in things such as the breadcrumb bar, so that if a user selects the previous item in the breadcrumb they are returned with the correct params in the url. The parameters, I believe need to be set at the Action level rather than the controller. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

  Is there a way I can reset the style of a certain character sequence? I'm using the listings package to display source code and the prebreak property to display a escape character \ to indicate that the current lines was broken. The problem is that sometimes the backslash is colored because of the syntax highlighting used. • How can I get a value from an xml key/value pair with xpath in my xslt?

  I have some xml that I want to process using xslt. A good amount of the data comes through in key value pairs (see below). I am struggling with how to extract the value base on the key into a variable. I would like to be able to do something like this: <xsl:variable name="foo" select="/root/entry[key = 'foo']/value"/> but that doesn't seem to work. Here is sample xml. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <root> <entry> <key> foo </key> <value> bar </value> </entry> </root> What would the correct xpath be for this?

  I'm writing a Clone function for a non serializeable object.For most objects I don't care if they are shallow copied as I won't be making any changes to them. I start with a MemberwiseClone and this copies all the values and few objects like configuration dictionary over just fine but they are pointers. EAVEntity newClone = (EAVEntity) this.MemberwiseClone(); newClone.EntityStorageID = Guid.NewGuid(); newClone.Controls.Clear(); So how do I reset a pointer so I can make them not point at the same location?

• Question about migrating from ASP .NET User Controls to .NET 3.5 Master Page technology

  When migrating from an ASP .NET user control -based page with a header, footer, and menu to a Master Page using the same HTML mark-up, is it normal for CSS or javascript behaviors to change slightly? In particular, the submenu bar text now appears run together (which looks like a CSS symptom) and the graphics on the line above it appear to have an incorrect z-order. (The menu operation is javascript-based.) (I tried to paste images here but couldn't.) Also, the site is very large and we've not been given permission to redo the menu for the entire site. This is a forward-only migration. (Because I know that someone will ask.) Assuming that there are no changes in scope, what are the things that I should check? Thanks! Jim

• saving iPhone program state with a deep UINavigationController

  Can someone a good way to save the program state (UINavigationController stack, etc) of an iPhone application. My application obtains a bunch of information from the network and I want to return the person back to the last screen they were on, even if it was 3 or 4 screens deep. I assume that I will need to reload the data from the network along the way as I recreate the UINavigation controllers. I don't necessarily have a problem with this. I'm thinking about maybe having my UINavigationController objects implement some type of protocol which allow me to save/set their state? I'm looking to hear from others who may have needed to implement a similar scenario and how they accomplished it. My application has a UITabbarController at the root and UINavigationController items for each tab bar item. thanks!

  uploading multiple files from client to server with asp.net I have been looking at the asp.net upload control but that is for one file (unless someone knows a better way to do it). http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.ui.webcontrols.fileupload.aspx For what I want to do I don't even really need a browse. I know the files off of the client are at a certain location. Is it possible to create a collection of *HttpPostedFile*s and upload those? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.httppostedfile.aspx I don't think it is possible but would be glad to be proven wrong. Is there a different asp.net method or control that will easily allow uploading multiple files from client to server?

  Is it possible to write C# code as below and send email using mnetwork in different country? MSExchangeWebServiceURL = mail.something.com/ews/exchange.asmx It's a web service URL. This works great when I run the same code from home network, my friends home network anywhere around, but when I run it from my client's location in Columbia it fails. I have a valid user name and password on that Exchange Server. Is there any configuration that I can set to achieve this? BTW this code below works when I run it within office network and any network within any home network. I have tried it at least with five friends network in Plano, Texas. I want this code to work running from any network in another country. My client in Columbia can connect to the web service using a browser using the same user name and password, but when I run the code above it is not able to connect to our web service.

  From a Java program, I need to launch the default browser on a local HTML file, pointed to an anchor inside the file. In Java SE 6, the java.awt.Desktop.browse method will open the file, but will not honor the anchor, so something like the following opens the file at the top, but does not page the browser to the anchor: Desktop.getDesktop("file:///C:/foo/bar.html#anchor"); Sun says here http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6477862 that anchors are not supported in the file URI protocol. Does anyone have a better answer? I can use Java SE 6. I would be OK with a Windows only solution.

  I have a rewrite that nginx calls like so: location ~* (css)$ { rewrite ^(.*),(.*)$ /min/index.php?f=$1,/min/$2 last; } And it's used on pages like this: http://domain.com/min/framework.css,dropdown.css Works all fine and dandy, but it's not scalable. Adding another element to the URL means I have to directly edit the nginx config. Ideally, I'd like to have nginx rewrite according to how many comma-delimited parameters are passed through the URL, rather than setting a fixed amount in the config. Is this possible?

  I have a simple form that generates a new photo gallery, sending the title and a description to MySQL and redirecting the user to a page where they can upload photos. Everything worked fine until the ampersand entered the equation. The information is sent from a jQuery modal dialog to a PHP page which then submits the entry to the database. After Ajax completes successfully, the user is sent to the upload page with a GET URL to tell the page what album it is uploading to -- $.ajax ({ type: "POST", url: "../../includes/forms/add_gallery.php", data: $("#addGallery form").serialize(), success: function() { $("#addGallery").dialog('close'); window.location.href = 'display_album.php?album=' + title; } }); If the title has an ampersand, the Title field on the upload page does not display properly.   I'm getting the following error when trying to deploy a ZIP file to a remote FTP server. I tried connecting to the server using an FTP client (filezilla) and all goes well. Also, when connecting to a public ftp like ftp.belnet.be connections work fine. I'm trying to send the file to a VSFTPD server behind a router using port forwarding. Again, this works fine from any location using Filezilla, phing is not connecting though... • .Net: Adding files and folders to SETUP Project programmatically

  So, here is the scenario: I want to create a installer which would just dump few files and folders at a location specified by user. But the problem is these files are required to be picked up from a fixed source folder and then the installer is build. Also, these files may change any time and then again a new version of the installer is required to be created. So this needs to be done programmatically. Also, how can I add some coding stuff in setup projects? (New to SETUP PROJECTS) How? Any ideas/comments appreciated...
