• Webservice works with SoapSonar but not with Visual Studio Winform

  I have generated a wsdl file with Visual Studio which is here; http://reboltutorial.com/webservices/discordian.wsdl Implementation is a cgi instead of a .net framework program but that should not matter as it is the purposes of webservices. • how to install posix in php

  posix does not appear when I run php -m cmd, however, I see it from the phpinfo() –enable-posix=shared on Linux with Plesk 9. • m2eclipse - after pom and dependencies definition - no libraries on classpath / Maven Dependencies

  Hi, I've been doing just simple archetype projects until now, and always after dependencies definition and saving pom.xml, immediately after that the Maven Dependencies library was full of libraries. But now I declared: parent(pom packaging, scm, repository management) parent(pom packaging, shared dependencies) actual project (jar packaging, few more dependencies) actual project (jar packaging, few more dependencies) I created them from the upper one by "Create module" ... Problem is, that I can't make it automatically fill the Maven Dependencies library In .classpath file there is this line <classpathentry kind="con" path="org.maven.ide.eclipse.MAVEN2_CLASSPATH_CONTAINER"/> as in other "working" projects, but there is nothing on the classpath. Any suggestions please ?

• CakePHP sending multiple lines of same cookie information in response header. why??

  Hi all, I am having this problem with one of my cakePHP applications. My application displays a big html table on the page. I noticed that when the table goes beyond a certain size limit, IE cannot display that page. While trying to figure out why this happens, I noticed that my html response header contains a HUGE number of lines repeating the same thing. • WCF REST Compression

  I have a REST service that returns a large chunk of XML, about 150k worth. e.g. http://xmlservice.com/services/RestService.svc/GetLargeXML Therefore I want to compress the response from the server, as GZIP should reduce this to something much smaller. Having searched everywhere I cannot for the life of me find an example of how to perform compression for WCF REST services. Help!! NOTE: My service is hosted by a third party and I CANNOT do this via IIS as it is not supported by them.

• Button layed out using layout_toLeftOf in a RelativeLayout does not show up

  Hello all, I am trying to layout a Button to the left of a TextView that is centered on the screen. My layout looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:orientation="vertical" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:gravity="center"> <TextView android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="foo" android:id="@+id/center" /> <Button android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Left button" android:layout_toLeftOf="@id/center" /> </RelativeLayout> Unfortunately, the button just does not appear. I get the following result: As you see, the button doesn't show up. It works if I use layout_toRightOf, then the button appears to the right of the TextView, just as expected. Any ideas what I am doing wrong here?

• Silverlight 4 HttpWebRequest user agent string is null

  The problem I have a page with a silverlight object. It attempts to retrieve XML from the page. But I am struggling with a security exception. I have this code working brilliantly in WPF. When using a website hosting a silverlight application with the same code, the user agent string of the HttpRequest object is null (and seemingly cannot be set). In fact there is no header information at all - this causes a security exception when attempting to make my asynchronous call. The question Why is the user-agent string (and header information) null in my silverlight 4 application when making an asynchronous call using HttpWebRequest? Thanks in advance!

• getting an embedded resource in a single dll made up of multiple class libraries

  my solution has multiple projects and in one of them I have the code to get the embedded resource (an xml file) from another project. All this works fine when all the projects are seperate. However when all the class libraries are embedded into a single dll, the code to get the resource file does not work i.e. it cannot get the emebedded resource. I was wondering if the references to the emebedded resource get mixed up when they are combined together in a single dll?? I use the method Assembly.GetCallingAssembly().GetManifestResourceStream("namespace..filename");

• Using truncate table alongside Hibernate?

  Is it OK to truncate tables while at the same time using Hibernate to insert data? We parse a big XML file with many relationships into Hibernate POJO's and persist to the DB. We are now planning on purging existing data at certain points in time by truncating the tables. Is this OK? It seems to work fine. We don't use Hibernate's second level cache. One thing I did notice, which is fine, is that when inserting we generate primary keys using Hibernate's @GeneratedValue where Hibernate just uses a key value one greater than the highest value in the table - and even though we are truncating the tables, Hibernate remembers the prior value and uses prior value + 1 as opposed to starting over at 1. This is fine, just unexpected. Note that the reason we do truncate as opposed to calling delete() on the Hibernate POJO's is for speed. We have gazillions of rows of data, and truncate is just so much faster.

Now I can access it through my browser using the following url: http://localhost:8080/MyDynamicWebApp Now I want to change the access url to http://localhost:8080/app I changed the context root from the project properties | Web Project Settings | Context Root But it is not working. The web app still has the access url as earlier. I have re-deployed the application on tomcat, re-started the tomcat and have done everything that should be done but the access url is the same as earlier. I found that there were no server.xml file attached with the WARfile. The how the tomcat is determining that the context root of my web app is /MyDynamicWebApp and is allowing me to access the application through that url

  First of all, I wrote a simple php page, that picks up some variables from the POST parameters such as a query and a authentication string, and returns the result as xml. I intend to call this page with the WebClient class from a Silverlight application. I'm using POST because we are querying the database with any valid sql statement, not only select statements. The WebClient class uses the UploadDataAsync method to post to a http server, however it requires the post parameters be passed as a NameValueCollection. This class is missing in the Silverlight runtime. How do I proceed???

  Hello, I have a message box pop up when a certain operation is being executed sort of "wait..." window and I want to have a "loading" *.gif animation there to lighten up the mood :) Anyways I can't seem to figure out how to make this work. • URL to load resources from the classpath in Java

  In Java, you can load all kinds of resources using the same API but with different URL protocols: file:///tmp.txt http://127.0.0.1:8080/a.properties jar:http://www.foo.com/bar/baz.jar!/COM/foo/Quux.class This nicely decouples the actual loading of the resource from the application that needs the resource, and since a URL is just a String, resource loading is also very easily configurable. Is there a protocol to load resources using the current classloader? This is similar to the Jar protocol, except that I do not need to know which jar file or class folder the resource is coming from. I can do that using Class.getResourceAsStream("a.xml"), of course, but that would require me to use a different API, and hence changes to existing code. I want to be able to use this in all places where I can specify a URL for the resource already, by just updating a property file.

• Create Excel (.XLS and .XLSX) file from C#

  What is the best tool for creating an Excel Spreadsheet with C#. Ideally, I would like open source so I don't have to add any third party dependencies to my code, and I would like to avoid using Excel directly to create the file (using OLE Automation.) The .CSV file solution is easy, and is the current way I am handling this, but I but I would like to control the output formats. EDIT: I am still looking at these to see the best alternative for my solution. Interop will work, but it requires Excel to be on the machine you are using. Also the OLEDB method is intriguing, but may not yield much more than what I can achieve with CSV files. I will look more into the 2003 xml format, but that also puts a Excel 2003 requirement on the file. I am currently looking at a port of the PEAR (PHP library) Excel Writer that will allow some pretty good XLS data and formatting and it is in the Excel_97 compatible format that all modern versions of Excel support.   hello, I am building a mozilla extension that contacts a python application on a remote server to send and receive data. The python application can be used using xml-rpc from a python console.I am given the task to design a json-rpc that would contact the same application.Making the python server side has been easy which can be accesed using python console but making the mozilla extension to connect to the python serverside is what i am not understanding howto ??? how do i make cross site json rpc calls i have gone through a lot of libraries that i can find on googling but none of them seem to work i am not sure if it is because of same origin policy or my server side not able to process the data ??? • Unexpected result in .NET 4 DirectoryInfo.EnumerateFiles(string)

  It seems that the following code is not working as expected. I would assume that the following call to EnumarateFiles would only return files that match the filename pattern of c* ... however, filenames with H* are still getting returned. For example... the following file will get deleted in the following code (HNNN09060900932.xml). What's the issue? I have two requirements : the line need to be dashed as of now the line starts from top right corner of the first column to the same corner of the second column.
