  I have a repeater using a LinqDataSource as a data source. When a query string is entered, I'd like to filter the results, but ONLY when a query string is entered. If there is no query string, the results should not be filtered, all results should be returned. I'm trying to add a WhereParameter to my LinqDataSource in the Selecting event of the LinqDataSource, but it's not working. I've looked through the documentation for sqlalchemy and saw that the sqlite_autoincrement can be issued. An example where this attribute is given can be found here. sqlite_autoincrement seems though to be issued when creating the table itself, and I just wondered how it can be supplied when using a declarative style of the model such as mine.

  in .NET 4 Code Access Security (CAS) is deprecated. Whenever you call a method that implicitly uses it, it fails with a NotSupportedException, that can be resolved with a configuration switch that makes it fall back to the old behavior. We have a common library that's used in both .NET 3.5 and .NET 4, so we need to be able to tell wether or not we should use the CAS method. For example, in .NET 3.5 I should call: Assembly.Load(string, Evidence); Whereas in .NET 4 I want to call Assembly.Load(string); Calling Load(string, Evidence) throws a NotSupportedException. • Hex representation of Euro Symbol €

  Hi I was using XVI32 (Hex Editor) to get the hex representation of the Euro symbol and it gives me the value as 80. Another site: http://www.string-functions.com/string-hex.aspx does the same. I am not able to understand why the hex representation is 80 instead of 0x20AC. This 0X80 gives 128 in decimal and if I use Alt+0128 it actually produces the Euro symbol. Could somebody throw some light on what could be the logic behind this conversion from string to hex conversion ? Thanks

• Programatical authentication in J2EE 6

  Hello, is it possible to authenticate programmatically a user in J2ee 6? (Glassfish 3) in this project. I've seen anotations like : @RolesAllowed ("viewer") void doListdata (...) { istData() ; } @RolesAllowed("admin") void doUpdateData (...) { updateData() ; } @PermotAll void dolisterror () { listerror() ; } but how can I manually state, in login(), that my user is in the admin and/or viewer role?

• java casting a list

  Let's say I had: protected void performLogic(List<Object> docs) { ... } In the code where I'm going to be calling this method, I have a List<String> list. I want to call performLogic, passing this list. But it won't work because the lists are 2 different types: public void execute() { List<String> docs = new ArrayList<String>(); performLogin(docs); // won't work } I tried casting to List<Object> also, but that won't work either. So is the only way to do this is to make a new ArrayList of Object and just add the values and then pass it? Just seems cumbersome. I wondered if there was a better way to do it. Thanks.

• C# WebClient only downloads partial html

  Hi, I am working on some scraping app, i wanted to try to get it to work but ran into a problem. I have replaced the original scraping destination in the below code with googles webpage, just for testing. It seems that my download doesnt get everything, i note that the body and the html tags are missing their close tags. How do i get it to download everything?
