    Is there a debugging system that allows me to record javascript function calls and their parameters as they occur? this would allow me to trace and debug applications in live/client situations without the performance hit due to manual logging. Edit: I'm not talking about manually calling functions using a 'console' window and viewing the results, or manually adding 'trace' or 'log' commands into my javascript. I need it to work with any running javascript.

    I have a J2EE application that has a lot of reports, the situation now is the following: Report filters' values are sent to the application over DWR mainly, the data are retrieved from Oracle DB throw DB procedures and returned back to the client. However, some customization is required every now and then (new data filters, columns, ordering, ...), and these changes are painful to implement since we need to modify the JSPs, DB Procedures, the application itself, ... What API do you recommend to use for such reports?

    I have a table where each row has a start and stop date-time. These can be arbitrarily short or long spans. I want to query the sum duration of the intersection of all rows with two start and stop date-times. How can you do this in MySQL? Or do you have to select the rows that intersect the query start and stop times, then calculate the actual overlap of each row and sum it client-side?

I tried to developed a sample web application using json webservice,but the problem is the url was exposed on the client side.So from there,anybody can make a program and call the service for a thousand times. I could possibly write an app to be housed within AppStore and query the Datastore returning XML-formatted data; I want to know, however, if there are any Datastore endpoints which would allow me to do it directly.
