I've never used them before because personally I think they decrease the readability of a program. I am willing to change my mind about using them if the argument is solid enough however.   • Extracting a given number of the highest values in a List

    I'm seeking to display a fixed number of items on a web page according to their respective weight (represented by an Integer). The List where these items are found can be of virtually any size. The first solution that comes to mind is to do a Collections.sort() and to get the items one by one by going through the List. Is there a more elegant solution though that could be used to prepare, say, the top eight items?

    when i put ajax on my code I send a group of variable via post but when i received the data it is in a obj.responseText ie TEXT format. say i have two files "form.php" and "index.php" ajax is implemented in form.php while index.php returns the text. but my problem is index.php also generates a variable named "tarriff_count" i want to catch systematically and separately this variable, Is there any systematic way to catch variable.also keep in mind "obj.responseText" is very complicated to get a variable from "preg_match" ?

    I'm writing for an atmel at91sam9260 arm 9 cored single board computer [glomation gesbc9260] Using request_mem_region(0xFFFFFC00,0x100,"name"); //port range runs from fc00 to fcff that works fine and shows up in /proc/iomem then i try to write to the last bit of the port at fc20 with writel(0x1, 0xFFFFFC20); and i segfault...specifically "unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address fffffc20. I'm of the mind that i'm not allocating the right memory space... any helpful insight would be great...

  • What license do I need to use gSOAP in a commercial product?

    I'd like to use gSOAP in a product which will be distributed commercially. The use I have in mind is what I suspect is a pretty typical workflow—generating a header using wsdl2h, consuming the header with soapcpp2, and then calling the functions generated in the stub in my code. I'm not 100 percent sure which license(s) I need to use to be able to do this. Has anybody here already gone through this and figured out the solution?

Second, should these coordinates be pushed into a NSMutableArray each time they are received, so that the array of coordinates will represent the users path? As I'm more of a backend guy, and lacking experience in frontend development, I don't know which element would be suited best to output the text. Two options come to my mind: Using a plain div Using a textarea (as far as I understand, this is intended to be used for input). Also, we can define different access modified to Abstract class constructor like private, protected or public.   • Cross platform GUI Programming with D

I have a simple application in mind that needs a GUI but I want to make sure it's portable to Linux/Windows/Mac equally well and with minimal (no) change for each platform. wxD is looking like the contender of choice because I know the wx toolkit already. I see fltk4d as a contender and a (unfinished) wrapper around Qt. Are there any other truly cross platform GUI toolkits for D that will go where I want with little effort and what would the the toolkit of choice for people here?
