    I was wondering if anyone new how to get access the metadata (the date in particular) from jpg, arw and dng files. I've recently lost the folder structure after a merge operation gone-bad and would like to rename the recovered files according to the metadata. I'm planning on creating a little C++ app to dig into each file and get the metadata. any input is appreciated. ( alternatively, if you know of an app that already does this I'd like to know :)

  • PHP class that changes an image and reloads the page not displaying new image in Internet Explorer

    I have a class that runs a function when the image is clicked on to display an additional image. This function produces a linked div tag that reloads the page with a set of variables that then produces another image. The image is set as a background image on a large div tag behind the linked div tags to give the same effect as an image map but without using an image map or a SVG. This works perfectly in Chrome and Firefox but will not display the new image in Internet Explorer until you F5 the page again with the get variables in the URL? Does anyone know how to fix this issue so that it works in IE the same as the other browsers? Many thanks.

My current situation: I have am image, lets called it "bg.png" with the width about 2500px, and at the center of the background image has my logo. My website should target all size (from small 800 x 600 to 2400 x XXX) users. My problems How do I centralize the background image(bg.png), so that the logo always positioned in the centered(horizontally) of different size of monitors screen?

    is there a way to load the full binary of an image in javascript? what i want to do is to allow the user to preview an image before uploading it. ie the user selects an image on his local drive (C:\image.jpg) , view it, and decides to upload or cancel. i tried to set the source to the image path, but it didn't work since it is outside the webapplication project folder. any help?

  • C++ Reading and Editing pixels of a bitmap image

    I'm trying to create a program which reads an image in (starting with bitmaps because they're the easiest), searches through the image for a particular parameter (i.e. one pixel of (255, 0, 0) followed by one of (0, 0, 255)) and changes the pixels in some way (only within the program, not saving to the original file.) and then displays it. I'm using Windows, simple GDI for preference and I want to avoid custom libraries just because I want to really understand what I'm doing for this test program. Can anyone help? In any way? A website? Advice? Example code? Thanks

    When I point to a URL in nginx where it has images extension such as: http://50.56.81.42/phpMyAdmin/themes/original/img/logo_right.png (as example) it gives me the 404 error as it can't find the file, but the file is actually there. What is potentially wrong?   • SCCM 2012 unable to update boot images with pxe enabled

    we are fighting an error in sccm 2012. When we attempt to distribute boot images (after selecting the pxe option) we receive an error that the pxe image cannot be expanded (distmgr log). Can you give us any direction on what to try or attempt in this scenario? We only have one dp in our environment at the moment, however we have found that by creating another dp on a different server we don’t have this problem. However we really need the primary site to be a dp. We have tried: Removing and reinstalling the dp Removing and reinstalling the WDS Reinstalled the OS ... ouch Reinstalled SQL We even attempted to manually mount these wims in the remote install folder, no luck...     I'm having issues to extract inline images that are pasted in the email body if the emails are sent from external email(like gmail for example) into the Lotus notes. The emails which are sent from Lotus Notes itself has no issues and I'm able to retrieve the inline images by using the document.generateXML() method and parsing through ['picture' xml element tag] the stream. My real concern is how to extract from the external emails(like gmail). I would really appreciate for your help and time on this. Thanks in advance!...

    Hey all! So, the site I'm working on is using urlrewriting in coordination with aspnet_isapi.dll (everything is mapped to it). I put up my app_offline.htm file, and all the text shows, however, the CSS or images aren't being served. I'm guessing they're being processed by ASP.NET due to the wildcard mapping instead of IIS. Is this correct? If so, how can I allow IIS to serve these files? However I can't list the AMI's I own and can't list existing EC2 instances. $ec2Instance = new Zend_Service_Amazon_Ec2_Instance($awsAccessKey, $awsSecretKey); $instances = $ec2Instance ->describe(); $ec2Instance -describe() should list all instances but it is returning no instances even though I have three of them running at this time. $ami = new Zend_Service_Amazon_Ec2_Image($awsAccessKey, $awsSecretKey); $images = $ami->describe(); $ami-describe() returns all the public images but none of them are the ones I created even though I have two AMIs. Does any one know what I am missing here?

    Hello! I am trying to allow administrators to upload 20-30 images in one go. I have tried jquery uploadify, SWFUpload and other various jquery scripts. However I have had many issues doing this. Uploadify worked fine, however it stopped working and after a day of debugging I couldn't figure out why (and by god, I tried to figure out why) So I have decided to try a java applet, however they all seem to cost quite abit of money. All I need is something to select some images, then each image upload pings and address where I can resize them in PHP, and done. Does anyone know a freeware solution thats easy to use?

  • TTPhotoViewController: Images not loading until swipe

    Hi, I am trying to implement TTPhotoViewController in a sample iPad application. I have implemented properly TTPhotoSource and TTPhoto protocols. The TTPhotoViewController does show image, but not until swiped. The right and left button in the tab bar below doesnt seem to work at all, they never change the image displayed. The UIActivityIndicatorView is never put up, nor the right and left buttons are validated when last or first images are reached. I am initializing the subclass of TTPhotoViewController as a rootViewController of a UINavigationController object which I am adding it onto a view. This rules out the possibility of the problem faced here: http://three20.stackexchange.com/questions/78/ttphotoviewcontroller-not-loading-images-immediately What else am I missing?   • Images missing after moving Django to new server

    I'm moving Django project to new server. I'm newbie in Django, and I don't know where should be upload folder. There are all images which should be displayed on website. In config file I haven't seen upload folder I could specify, so I'm guessing it always should be the same location for django projects or I just can't find it. Locations are saved in database. When I've put uploaded files into media folder, so url was like domain.co.uk/media/upload/media/images/year/month/day/image_name.ext and the same is on the old website, images on website ware still missing. All images are visible if I put url by hand, but django doesn't seems to see files.   • Using Timthumb to Resize Images from CKEditor

    I am using CKEditor to do basic text and image input into my website. I have noticed that it is quite sporadic in it's method of generating HTML for images when you add them. (Sometimes it might use height and width tags, other times it might use CSS). I use Timthumb for on the fly image resizing on a number of other websites and find it very useful. I use a mod_rewrite rule in my .htaccess file to allow me to create domains like http://localhost/images/800x600/image.jpg and achieve resizing. I would like to somehow incorporate this into CKEditor. I cannot find how to do this looking through the documentation so I have tried post-processing the data produced by CKEditor using Regex, however as mentioned before CKEditor seems to be too sporadic to be able to get this to work all the time. Anyone else done this before? How did you achieve it?

    I hired a designer to help me redesign the UI for my Android app. For each Activity he gave me an image for the background, which includes any static content like fancy frames for text content; plus images for the buttons, which must fit in to the background image in exact places, to fit into the frames in the background image. However, since Android devices have different screen sizes and aspect ratios, it's easy to fit the background image by itself with android:scaleType="centerInside", but how can I get all the other images to fit in with background exactly, to the pixel? If they didn't have to fit in with the background, I would just set the exact width and height for each ImageButton, but depending on how the background scales (based on the screen size and ratio) they might end up not aligned correctly.
