  Hi, I'm setting up a little thing for connection pooling and on of the more common bugs that we have occur(its always an easy fix, but we just can't remember reader.Close()!) it is when we have a connection that is used by a lot of classes/methods and one method opens a data reader and forgets to close it. This isn't really bad cause a lot of times all you have to do is go into the debugger and go up one level and see the function before it was and check if it had an unclosed data reader. Now, here is the bigger problem. In this connection pool, if a datareader is open, then it's not known until a thread gets a connection and tries to use it and the thing that originally opened the data reader may no longer even be alive. So quite simply, how can you detect if a data reader is open on a connection and is there a way to close the reader without closing the connection?

  I have two areas: ControlPanel and Patients. Both have a controller called ProblemsController that are similar in name only. The desired results would be routes that yield /controlpanel/problems = MyApp.Areas.ControlPanel.Controllers.ProblemsController and /patients/problems = MyApp.Areas.Patients.Controllers.ProblemsController. Each has routes configured like this: public override void RegisterArea(AreaRegistrationContext context) { context.MapRoute( "**Area Name Here**_default", "**Area Name Here**/{controller}/{action}/{id}", new { action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional } ); } where **Area Name Here** is either ControlPanel or Patients. When I go to /patients/problems/create (for example), I get a 404 where the routing error says: A public action method 'create' was not found on controller 'MyApp.Areas.ControlPanel.Controllers.ProblemsController'. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

  I am using OpenLayers for a mapping service. In which I have several KML layers that are using KML feeds from server to populate data on the map. It currently plots: images / points / vector lines & shapes. But on these points it will not add a label with the value of the for the placemark in the KML.   jQuery based modal dialog boxes are great as long as you do as much as the example tells you to. I need a jQuery based modal dialog box library that has to have the following characteristics: It should be fast, something like the add and link dialog on StackOverflow. Most libraries take an eternity to load the dialog with its fancy effects and stuff. I want to call it using a script. Show a hidden div or a span element inline. MOst of the libraries talk filling an anchor with rel, class and href=#hiddenDiv sort of things. I need to be able to what I want without adding unnecessary attributes to my anchor. Something like this function showDialog(values) { processToChangeDom(values); changeDivTobeDisplayed(); modalDialog.show(); } It should reflect changes I make to the DOM in the hidden Div. I used facebox and found out that it makes a copy of the hidden div and changes to the DOM doesn't reflect on the modal window. I need to be able call the close modal div using javascript and also attach beforeOpen and afterClose handlers to the action. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have already tried facebox, simplemodal and a whole range of libraries, most of them don't support one or the other of these functions I described above.

  in iPhone, this would be simple---each view has a scrollViewDidScroll method. I am trying to find the equivalent in Android. My code works, but it isn't giving me what I want. I need to execute code the entire duration that a view is scrolling. So, even though I use OnGestureListener's onScroll method, it only fires when the finger is on the screen (it's not really named correctly---it should be called "onSlide" or "onSwipe", focusing on the gesture rather than the UI animation). This project was never popular, had only two active days with commits at Google Code and is dead since four years.   I know that domain names are constantly changing, and I know there are a lot of them, but there is clearly a region of the domain name space which is stable. How would I go about getting a list, even a very big one? Such a thing must logically exist, even if it is in a distributed form, because the web's DNS servers resolve names to IP addresses. So in theory if I could poll all the DNS servers in the world at a moment in time I would have the complete list of mapped names. Is there a practical way of doing that? As an aside, does anyone have any good estimates of how many domain names exist at the moment?

  Hi. I have a bunch of names in alphabetical order with multiple instances of the same name all in alphabetical order so that the names are all grouped together. Beside each name, after a coma, I have a role that has been assigned to them, one name-role pair per line, something like whats shown below name1,role1 name1,role2 name1,role3 name1,role8 name2,role8 name2,role2 name2,role4 name3,role1 name4,role5 name4,role1 ... .. . I am looking for an algorithm to take the above .csv file as input create an output .csv file in the following format name1,role1,role2,role3,role8 name2,role8,role2,role4 name3,role1 name4,role5,role1 ... .. . So basically I want each name to appear only once and then the roles to be printed in csv format next to the names for all names and roles in the input file. The algorithm should be language independent. I would appreciate it if it does NOT use OOP principles :-) I am a newbie.

  Hi, I have an object as follows Public Class Bin Public Property Id As Integer Public Property Name As String Public Property Store As Store End Class Public Class Store Public Property Id As Integer Public Property Bins As IEnumerable(Of Bin) End Class I have a unique constraint in the database on Bin.Name and BinStoreID to ensure unique names within stores. However, when NHibernate persists the store, it first inserts the Bin records with a null StoreID before performing an update later to set the correct StoreID. This violates the Unique Key If I persist two stores with a Bin of the same name because The Name columns are the same and the StoreID is null for both. Is there something I can add to the mapping to ensure that the correct StoreID is included in the INSERT rather than performing an update later? We are using HiLo identity generation so we are not relying on DB generated identity columns Thanks James
