  • Is there any WinSCP equivalent for linux?

    I love WinSCP for Windows. What are the best equivalent softwares for linux? I tried to use sshfs to mount the remote file system on my local machine, but it is not as user friendly as simply launching a GUI, plus it seems to require root access on the client machine, which is not very convenient. Of course command line tools such as scp are possible, but I am looking for a simple GUI. Thanks!

    Can you figure out the numeric equivalent of an Excel column string in the shortest-possible way, using your favorite language? For example, the A column is 1, B is 2, so on and so forth. Once you hit Z, the next column becomes AA, then AB and so on. Rules: Here is some sample input and output: A: 1 B: 2 AD: 30 ABC: 731 WTF: 16074 ROFL: 326676 I don't know if the submitter is allowed to post a solution, but I have a Perl solution that clocks in at 125 characters :).

    Since PHP has no custom-class type-casting, how would I go about doing the PHP equivalent of this Java code: CustomBaseObject cusBaseObject = cusBaseObjectDao.readCustomBaseObjectById(id); ((CustomChildObject) cusBaseObject).setChildAttribute1(value1); ((CustomChildObject) cusBaseObject).setChildAttribute2(value2); In my case, it would very nice if I could do this.     I have a table and I'd like to pull one row per id with field values concatenated... In my table, for example, I have this: TM67 | 4 | 32556 TM67 | 9 | 98200 TM67 | 72 | 22300 TM99 | 2 | 23009 TM99 | 3 | 11200 And, I'd like to output: TM67| 4,9,72 | 32556,98200,22300 TM99 | 2,3 | 23009,11200 In MySQL, I was able to use GROUP_CONCAT, but that doesn't seem to work here... Is there an equivalent or another way to accomplish this?

    Is there an equivalent to an identity Seed in SimpleDB? If the answer is no, how do you handle creating something like a customer number or order number that will prevent the creation duplicate numbers? My experience is mainly from SQL Server in which I would either create a primary key with an identity seed or use transactions in a stored procedure to increment the number. Thanks for your help!

  • Try-Catch equivalent in Objective-C / xcode

    I get an app crash in main.m in my app and have no idea why the error is happening because xcode doesn't show me where the crash occurs, it shows me that it crashes at return UIApplicationMain(argc, argv ...) which tells me nothing. Is there a way to have in xcode / Objective-C the equivalent of a try/catch in Visual Studio to see exactly where the error is occuring? I'm using latest xcode (4.6 I believe). Thanks in advance.
