  • WCF REST Does Not Contain All of the Relative File Path

    I have a RESTful WCF 3.5 endpoint as such: System.Security.User.svc This is supposed to represent the namespace of the User class and is desired behavior by our client. I have another endpoint I created for testing called: Echo.svc I am writing an overridden IHttpModule and in my module, I follow what almost everyone does by doing: string path = HttpContext.Current.Request.AppRelativeCurrentExecutionFilePath; If I make a call to: http://localhost/services/Echo/test My path variable has a value of '~/echo/test' However, when I make a call to: http://localhost/services/System.Security.User/test My path variable has a value of '~/system.security.user' In my 2nd situation, it is stripping off the '/test' on the end of any endpoint that contains multiple periods. This is undesired behavior and the only solution I have found to fixing this is some ugly string manipulation using the property which does contain the complete URL path: string rawPath = HttpContext.Current.Request.RawUrl; This returns '/services/system.security.user/test'. Does anyone know why my first situation does not return the rest of the URL path for endpoints that contain multiple periods in the name?

  • Control the MultipleOutputFormat files sub-path

    I need to control the sub-path of the different different files being managed by MultipleOutputFormat based on the reducer key. I basically want to set the sub path of the file based on the key given to the reducer. I can changed the file name by overwrting the generateFileNameForKeyValue method of MultipleOutputFormatbut how can I also change the sub-path of these files? I mean with just overriding the generateFileNameForKeyValue, I get mySetJobConfigOutputPath/fileNameBasedKey1.dat /fileNameBasedKey2.dat /fileNameBasedKey3.dat ... but I want to make it to be organize files like below mySetJobConfigOutputPath/path0ConfiguredInsideReducerBasedOnKey/fileNameBasedKey1.dat /path1ConfiguredInsideReducerBasedOnKey/fileNameBasedKey2.dat /fileNameBasedKey3.dat /path2ConfiguredInsideReducerBasedOnKey/fileNameBasedKey8.dat as seen, the sub-path and the file name are both figured out by the key inside the reducer. I know how to configure the file name but was wondering if I can configure the sub-path of the each file under the mySetJobConfigOutputPath folder?

  • Vim: `cd` to path stored in variable

    I'm pretty new to vim, and I'm having a hard time understanding some subtleties with vim scripting. Specifically, I'm having trouble working with commands that expect an unquoted-string (is there a name for this?). For example cd some/unquoted/string/path The problem is that I'd like to pass a variable, but calling let pathname = 'some/path' cd pathname will try to change the current directory to 'pathname' instead of 'some/path'. One way around this is to use let cmd = 'cd ' . pathname execute cmd but this seems a bit roundabout. This StackOverflow question actually uses cd with a variable, but it doesn't work on my system ("a:path" is treated as the path as described above). I'm using cd as a specific example, but this behavior isn't unique to cd; for example, the edit command also behaves this way. (Is there a name for this type of command?)

  • Avoid richfaces to send back javascript libraries in the ajax responses

    I'm using JSF 1.2 with Richfaces, and for every ajax request, the server is sending back the response, whichi is good, but it also contains all the links to the javascript files. I want to improve the performance so I just want the <body> to be returned, because all the javascript files are already loaded in the browser when the user logs in (my app is not restful). How can i do that?     OK I've seen a few people with this issue - but I'm already using a file path, not a relative path. My code works fine on my PC, but when another developer goes to upload an image they get this error. I thought it was a security permission thing on the folder - but the system account has full access to the folder (though I get confused about how to test which account the application is running under).     Hi, If I have a method which establishes a database connection, how could this method be tested? Returning a bool in the event of a successful connection is one way, but is that the best way? From a testability method, is it best to have the connection method as one method and the method to get data back a seperate method? Also, how would I test methods which get back data from a database? I may do an assert against expected data but the actual data can change and still be the right resultset. EDIT: For the last point, to check data, if it's supposed to be a list of cars, then I can check they are real car models. Or if they are a bunch of web servers, I can have a list of existant web servers on the system, return that from the code under test, and get the test result. If the results are different, the data is the issue but the query not? THnaks

  • Resolving MSB3247 - Found conflicts between different versions of the same dependent assembly

    A .NET 3.5 solution ended up with this warning when compiling with msbuild. Sometimes NDepend might help out but in this case it didn't give any further details. Like Bob I ended up having to resort to opening each assembly in ILDASM until I found the one that was referencing an older version of the dependant assembly. I did try using MSBUILD from VS 2010 Beta 2 (as the Connect article indicated this was fixed in the next version of the CLR) but that didn't provide any more detail either (maybe fixed post Beta 2) Is there a better (more automated) approach?

    i am using movable type 4.23 (publishing system) and have been testing my site on a PC and discovered that internet explorer (IE) browsers are unable to view my site due to a conflict in the javascript of the signin widget (initially i thought it was in the mt.js file). i receive this error: "Error 80004004"...as well as in the Javascript itself: "Element is not an object" (or object is not an element?)... function mtUpdateSignInWidget(u) { var el = document.getElementById('signin-widget-content'); if i put in "id" where 'sign-widget-content' goes, it will say its not an object. all other browsers work perfectly (firefox, safari and opera on my mac and firefox on pc). if anyone wants a link to the test page, i can provide that... someone please help! thanks.

  • Filtering Security Logs by User and Logon Type

    I have been asked to find out when a user has logged on to the system in the last week. Now the audit logs in Windows should contain all the info I need. I think if I search for Event ID 4624 (Logon Success) with a specific AD user and Logon Type 2 (Interactive Logon) that it should give me the information I need, but for the life of my I cannot figure out how to actually filter the Event Log to get this information. Is it possible inside of the Event Viewer or do you need to use an external tool to parse it to this level? I found http://nerdsknowbest.blogspot.com.au/2013/03/filter-security-event-logs-by-user-in.html which seemed to be part of what I needed. I modified it slightly to only give me the last 7 days worth. Below is the XML I tried. <QueryList> <Query Id="0" Path="Security"> <Select Path="Security">*[System[(EventID=4624) and TimeCreated[timediff(@SystemTime) &lt;= 604800000]]]</Select> <Select Path="Security">*[EventData[Data[@Name='Logon Type']='2']]</Select> <Select Path="Security">*[EventData[Data[@Name='subjectUsername']='Domain\Username']]</Select> </Query> </QueryList> It only gave me the last 7 days, but the rest of it did not work. EDIT 2 I updated the LogonType line to the following: EventData[Data[@Name='LogonType'] and (Data='2' or Data='7')] This should capture Workstation Logons as well as Workstation Unlocks, but I still get nothing. I then modify it to search for other Logon Types like 3, or 8 which it finds plenty of. This leads me to believe that the query works correctly, but for some reason there are no entries in the Event Logs with Logon Type equalling 2 and this makes no sense to me. Is it possible to turn this off?

  • Calculate shortest path through a grocery store

    Hi, I'm trying to find a way to find the shortest path through a grocery store, visiting a list of locations (shopping list). The path should start at a specified startposition and can end at multiple endpositions (there are multiple checkout counters). Also, I have some predefined constraints on the path, such as "item x on the shopping list needs to be the last, second last, or third last item on the path". There is a function that will return true or false for a given path. Finally, this needs to be calculated with limited cpu power (on a smartphone) and within a second or so. If this isn't possible, then an approximation to the optimal path is also ok. Is this possible? So far I think I need to start by calculating the distance between every item on the list using something like A* or Dijkstra's. After that, should I treat it like the travelling salesman problem? Because in my problem there is a specified startnode, specified endnodes, and some constraints, which are not in the travelling salesman problem. Any help would be appreciated :)

  • Converting an integer to a boxed enum type only known at runtime

    Imagine we have an enum: enum Foo { A=1,B=2,C=3 } If the type is known at compile-time, a direct cast can be used to change between the enum-type and the underlying type (usually int): static int GetValue() { return 2; } ... Foo foo = (Foo)GetValue(); // becomes Foo.B And boxing this gives a box of type Foo: object o1 = foo; Console.WriteLine(o1.GetType().Name); // writes Foo (and indeed, you can box as Foo and unbox as int, or box as int and unbox as Foo quite happily) However (the problem); if the enum type is only known at runtime things are... trickier. It is obviously trivial to box it as an int - but can I box it as Foo? (Ideally without using generics and MakeGenericMethod, which would be ugly). Convert.ChangeType throws an exception. ToString and Enum.Parse works, but is horribly inefficient. I could look at the defined values (Enum.GetValues or Type.GetFields), but that is very hard for [Flags], and even without would require getting back to the underlying-type first (which isn't as hard, thankfully). But; is there a more direct to get from a value of the correct underlying-type to a box of the enum-type, where the type is only known at runtime?

  • MVC: model of type Nullable<T>

    I have a partial view that inherits from ViewUserControl<Guid?> - i.e. it's model is of type Nullable<Guid>. Very simple view, nothing special, but that's not the point. Somewhere else, I do Html.RenderPartial( "MyView", someGuid ), where someGuid is of type Nullable<Guid>. Everything's perfectly legal, should work OK, right? But here's the gotcha: the second argument of Html.RenderPartial is of type object, and therefore, Nullable<Guid> being a value type, it must be boxed. But nullable types are somehow special in the CLR, so that when you box one of those, you actually get either a boxed value of type T (Nullable's argument), or a null if the nullable didn't have a value to begin with. And that last case is actually interesting. Turns out, sometimes, I do have a situation when someGuid.HasValue == false. And in those cases, I effectively get a call Html.RenderPartial( "MyView", null ). And what does the HtmlHelper do when the model is null? Believe it or not, it just goes ahead and takes the parent view's model. Regardless of it's type. So, naturally, in those cases, I get an exception saying: "The model item passed into the dictionary is of type 'Parent.View.Model.Type', but this dictionary requires a model item of type 'System.Guid?'" So the question is: how do I make MVC correctly pass new Nullable<Guid> { HasValue = false } instead of trying to grab the parent's model? Note: I did consider wrapping my Guid? in an object of another type, specifically created for this occasion, but this seems completely ridiculous. Don't want to do that as long as there's another way. Note 2: now that I've wrote all this, I've realized that the question may be reduced to how to pass a null for model without ending up with parent's model?

    Hi, In my application, there is a inheritance hierarchy in which only the classes that are at the end of the inheritance chain are non-abstract classes. Also there is some usage of boost::variant. I want to write a function which takes a pointer and a Type and says whether the object belongs to that type.   • ActiveRecord Save Dependent Model

    I am trying to save a model with it's dependency models being saved. Model1 has_many :model2, :autosave => true Model2 belongs_to :model1 has_many :model3, :autosave => true Model3 belongs_to :model2 I want to save Model1, and have Model2 and 3 save as well. I tried this without and with the autosave feature. What winds up happening is Model1 is saved, Model2 is saved, Model3 is untouched. Is there a way to tell ActiveRecord that for this save I want to save the model and all child models all at once? As a side note, all 3 are just created and are not in the database. I cannot do .create on the models because I cannot save them until all validation passes and all business logic succeeds (has to be a transaction).
