Opensource.com: "Plaintiffs attempted to exploit this inexperience by arguing that open source software involved behavior that was, if not downright illegal, at least ethically dubious. They promoted the fallacy that open source distributors unfairly take the property of others and thereby unfairly profit."
I have an Intel GMA 950 chipset in my netbook. I want to learn how to write OpenGL shader programs with this fantastic tutorial and therefore need OpenGL 3.3. Sadly, my graphics card only supports OpenGL 1.4.
I think that MESA can emulate OpenGL in software, so I'm wondering if it can emulate OpenGL 3.3 without any hardware accelleration (performance is very much no problem, since this is only for learning and testing puroses).
Is there any possibility to do this?

I've had a few install rounds with ubuntu ever since 8.04 and has worked flawlessly every time. However, for some reason, when I try to click either System Settings or Software Center, the icon pulses as if it were working to come up but never does. The same goes for System Settings. I would expect that a password dialog would appear, but nothing shows. Is there bug with 11.10 that didn't exist with 11.04?

I'm currently studying a Master in Computer Science and I am interested in working with Software Agents and C#.
I have found so much information regarding theoretical aspects but just a few articles focused on practical programming aspects such as architecture, design or implementation.
Could anybody suggest any good source that I could explore? I wouldn't like to "reinvent the wheel" but to contribute with something better to the current state of the art.

Every time I add a PPA I cannot see the package I'm trying to install. I suppose I must be doing something wrong! So here's my latest effort:
In a Terminal I typed:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jeromerobert/misc
and that seemed to work correctly
Then I typed:
sudo apt-get update
But when I go to Synaptic or Software Center the application I want to install is not there. Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
We always make 2 documents the SRS (Software Requirement Specification) and the FS (Functional Specifications) documents for the coders aka programmers.
As I have examined the SRS is more like containing both functional and non-functional requirements as compared to the FS that deals only with the functional requirements.
To cut it short will the SRS be sufficient enough for the programmers to do their work? and not make any FS anymore?

A couple of Los Angeles men who were operating a very sophisticated and lucrative software pirating operation on Craigslist couldn't outrun the long arm of the law.
I am not able use my Ubuntu Software Center and Synaptic package manager. I can't understand what's the problem. When I use the command: sudo apt-get update
it shows this error:
E: Malformed line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/canonical_partner.list (dist parse)
E: The list of sources could not be read.
I have seen How do I remove a malformed line from my sources.list?, but it didn't help.
