  • Simulating MySql OLD_PASSWORD in .NET or MS SQL ?

    I have started a new project in .NET which uses some old system's datababase in MySql. The data stored in mysql is periodicaly transfered to MS Sql on which our system works. I need to authenticate users with their login and password. User's passwords are stored as hash generated by OLD_PASSWORD function from mysql. Is there any way to generate such hash using Ms Sql or .NET ?

  • .NET allocations profiling

    I need a way to track all allocations in a .NET application that happen during a single step in the process of debugging my application. I mean, when I'm in the debugger, stepping through code, I would like to see for a single step what allocation took place. Is there a tool or a way to do it? I tried several memory profilers including CLR profiler, JetBrains and .NET Memory Profiler 3.5 and none of them seems to provide this kind of funcionality.

  • Zend Framework-where should this root.php file go for MVC?

    Hi guys, I'm converting over a web-app to use the MVC structure of Zend Framework. I have a root.php include file that contains most of the database info, and some static variables that are used in the program. I'm not sure if some of this should be in the application.ini of in a model that is called by the init() function in a controller, or in the bootstrap or what? What is the fastest and least expensive way to check if a string is valid XML in .NET? I'm working in .NET 3.5 and would most likely use this as an extension method (off of string) in this one project within the solution.

I have written four classes: DataModel DataView DataController Main Main serves as the application facade. The main FLA is called HelloWorld. I have a symbol called "Box" in HelloWorld. I just would like to add an instance of the "Box" on the stage. Eventually I would like to place a button and when the button is clicked, the Box instance color will be changed. I would appreciate any help, please help me figure out what am I doing wrong. If i try to make a new app with database, - wpf application with .net studio, -ADD Local Database - then try to add Table, my Database1.sdf disconnects and again freeze!
