    Hi there, I need to create a .Net windows service to monitor a mailbox and process attachments (if found) on the emails and then delete the email from the server. I have two questions I'd like your thoughts on: POP3 or IMAP to connect to the mail server? Which POP3/IMAP library should I use. At this stage we're just doing a proof of concept, so a free one would be my preference. Cheers!

  • compact framework windows CE using ExtEscape to control the brightness

    I need to be able to control brightness of my Windows CE 5.0 device. I've found that there is an API function ExtEscape to do that ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa453063 ) but it needs a structure ContrastCmdInputParm (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Aa447689 ) as a parameter. Since ExtEscape is unmanaged, I cannot pass a .net structure. What is the simplest way to call this function?

    I have written a java application which is a RMI server. I need to start rmiregistry to run this application and i also want my apllication to start automatically when the system starts. I have converted my application into a windows servise. When i try to start my service it shows this error Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly Is it because my program throws an exception when my application is started before the rmiregistry is started.

    I have a Windows 2008 server with two IP addresses assigned to a single NIC. The DNS settings are setup to register the connections's addresses on the DNS server. nslookup shows both IP addresses for the server name. How is name resolution done in this case, i.e. which IP address does the DNS server return for a host lookup? Or does it return both, and the client selects one of the addresses?

This must be locally hosted CI (no github, no remote servers). I'm doing C# .Net development with Visual Studio 2008. I want if user has selected some text in any control of any form of my application and click on cut/copy/paste button on toolbar operation get performed accordingly. i m using C#.net's sendkeys.send("^c") on click of copy button but it doesn't work... OR any 1 can tell if is there any way to get selected text (despite of knowing, which form/control of my application). Thanks in advance...
