  • Create Slideshow with Fade Transition and Navigation

    Hello! I am trying to create a slideshow like the one on this site: http://www.marthastewart.com/ However, I would like to use JavaScript and CSS instead of Flash. I would be super grateful for any suggestions on how to do this. I am currently using the InnerFade plugin, which works great for the slideshow part, but I can't figure out how to integrate the navigation; I'm not even sure where to start! :) I'm open to starting over from scratch and not using InnerFade. Thanks for any help!

    I'm trying to make a custom infowindow. Version = 2. I have added my DIV to the map as follows - $("#infoWindowClass").appendTo(map.getPane(G_MAP_MARKER_MOUSE_TARGET_PANE)); The infoWindowClass is - #infoWindowClass { position:absolute; padding:10px; height: 155px; width: 225px; background-color: #E7F8CD; color: #3F3F3F; border:0.5px solid #8D8D8D; font-size:80%; } Per documentation, this is above all other DIV layers. This DIV has two input fields, however I can't click on any of them. I manually added the z-index to 990 for this DIV but the input fields are still not clickable. Any pointers ?

    Hi, I'm using Lightbox to display photos. So If I have two categories of photos, "work" and "vacation", I would do... <a href="images/image-1.jpg" rel="lightbox[work]">image #1</a> <a href="images/image-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[work]">image #2</a> <a href="images/image-3.jpg" rel="lightbox[work]">image #3</a> <a href="images/image-4.jpg" rel="lightbox[vacation]">image #4</a> <a href="images/image-5.jpg" rel="lightbox[vacation]">image #5</a> <a href="images/image-6.jpg" rel="lightbox[vacation]">image #6</a> This displays 6 images, and when I click one of them, it starts the Lightbox. However, I'd like to be able to display only two images initially (one for 'work', one for 'vacation'), but when one of them is clicked, it behaves like the first example, e.g. display all photos in that category through Lightbox.     I'm new to Xcode and iPhone apps. I want to select an image from iPhone (camera or library) and send to php via ajax. http://wiki.phonegap.com/iPhone:-Camera-API I'm using the phonegap framework, Xcode iPhone SDK version 3.1.x. On clicking button it calls function with parameter 0 or 1, but it does not initialize camera or display the library. I checked the simulator virtual phone; there is no icon for camera, but the pictures album is there. I used the same code as in the above link. What do I do, what and how to check? any other functions to get photos using phonegap?

On FF and Safari I can see the "browse" button. Any ideas? It turns out my flash version was different from the current version. Now the plug-in is working just fine.

  • 2-column; multi-accordion pane

    Alright, I'm having some issues and I believe it's a CSS one. Here is what I'm working on currently: http://www.notedls.com/demo/ Focusing on the News accordion menu. The idea here is to have a small image (50x50 with padding) and then a huge headline next to it. When the user clicks the headline, it expands to the article. If the user wants to read comments or make a comment themselves they can then click the View Comments to expand it even further. The issue I'm having (if it isn't clear) is the spacing with the image and the text. I could simply just increase the height of the ui.accordion-acc or -left to make everything fit, but that doesn't solve the issue. If you notice when you click on the first expansion of Headline 1, it will wrap View Comments underneath the image. This is something I don't want, I've tried separating these elements into additional divs and even floating, but its just not working. Essentially, I want blank space infinitely underneath the image for however long the article+comments may take the field.

    I want to make the effect as demonstrate on this site http://dropshadow.webvex.limebits.com/ with arguments - left:0 top:0 blur:1 opacity:1 examples:engraved font:sans serif I tried #333333 -1px -1px but seems not enough to make an inner shadow on such big font, it may be much more complex than i thought? And worse is i'm using Cufon to replace the font but Cufon doesn't support blur of text-shadow I guess maybe i should use JS to make this effect, but i doubt JS will work together with Cufon, or JS font replacement together with JS shadow maker? Any ideas?

    Any idea how to implement 'page break' in epub reader? .epub is nothing but HTML pages, and epub reader renders those html pages. but i wonder how some epub readers like Adobe Digital Edition implemented page break. There,when we jump to any page, you will not find half displayed line(i.e only upper part of the letters visible and lower part will be in the next page) or half images where the other part in the next page. How to push the line to next page if i cannot display it completely in the current page?

  • Modal MessageBox for ASP.NET without jQuery

    I have an assembly with custom ASP.NET server controls that is used in several, mostly in-house, ASP.NET 2.0 applications. The server controls use simple modal popup messageboxes, which are currently implemented using the javascript alert and confirm functions. I want to release a new version of this assembly that uses a better solution for messageboxes, including support for Yes/No buttons. The appearance would be something like a simplified version of the Ajax Control Toolkit ModalPopup extender (sample here). My constraints are that this should be as easy as possible to integrate into existing ASP.NET 2.0 applications without introducing new dependencies: ideally just drop in a new version of the assembly, that contains all the javascript it needs as an embedded resource, and possibly a CSS file. Because of this constraint, I am not considering solutions I've seen that use jquery, or the ASP.NET Ajax Control Toolkit, which appears to require adding elements to pages that use the extenders (ScriptManagers and the like). Any recommendations?

  • How to remove buttons in AnythingSlider and stop the sliding?

    I'm currently using the anythingSlider it works quite well. But if there is one li, how do i make it stop sliding and remove the buttons displayed below? The *li*s are generated from the database so sometimes there's only one. I want the buttons to show only when there is more then one image. if there is one image all the buttons( back, forward, pause) should not be displayed.   • Using a dynamic <script> (a <script> appended to the DOM by JavaScript) to load and initialize Click

    I'm creating an HTML/JavaScript widget to be used on third-party sites. This widget is generated by a <script> that our customers will insert on their page. The <script> creates an <iframe> in the customer's domain, and then creates and inserts all of that <iframe>'s content using JavaScript. It's important that this <iframe> contain Clicky's tracking code to monitor clicks on outbound links. Unfortunately, I'm not having any luck getting Clicky to work when I append the requisite <script> elements to the <iframe> using JavaScript. I first tried simply appending the Clicky tracking code to the <iframe> after appending some test outbound links, hoping that Clicky could attach to those automatically as it does on a static page. That didn't seem to work, so my next inclination was to use the "advanced_disable" custom option and use clicky.log() on the links I want to track. Here's a link to a test page that's along those lines: http://onespot.wsj.com/static/clicky_iframe_test.html When clicking a link on that test page, the action is not logged in Clicky, and a JavaScript error appears: clicky is not defined This ("clicky") appears to be defined in http://static.getclicky.com/js, which I confirmed through the Firebug console is indeed loading before I click a test outbound link. Has anyone successfully loaded Clicky in this way? If so, could you provide some sample code, a link to a working implementation, or some feedback on what's wrong with my code? I would also be interested to know if this is even possible. Thanks very much for any help or advice!

    Hi, The following page looks good in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, IE6 and IE8... but it looks bad in IE7. I don't have IE7 but I need to fix this issue because someone seen it in IE7 and it looks bad. Does anyone has any idea why this page renders different in IE7?...and what is the solution to make it display correctly? http://www.aetna.com/2009annualreport/mainBoard.html Problem: When you click on the "Board of Directors" or "Management Team" link and the listing table panel opens up, the far right third of the panel is getting cut off.
