• File.OpenText method is not declared error

  Hi, i have a fileupload control from which i need the path of a text file. After selecting the file,i need to open the file for reading the data from the text file.For this, i used the following code to open the text file. fp=File.OpenText(FileUpload2.PostedFile.FileName) This is working fine in my system.The FileUpload2.PostedFile.FileName statement gives the path of the file.The File.OpenText method opens the selected file.But when i run my project in IIS,it gives the following error: "File.OpenText is not declared." The FileUpload2.PostedFile.FileName statement is not retrieving the path, it retrieves only only the filename.what could be the reason?

  Since someone here is a bit hot-headed and deleted my last question ill post a new one with a title to better please his ego...Hows this Michael? Anyways, im getting this error when i compile: Undefined symbols: "_OBJC_CLASS_$_SortedItems", referenced from: __objc_classrefs__DATA@0 in SortedByNameTableDataSource.o ld: symbol(s) not found collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Basically i followed apples "TheElements" sample app to create the singleton, tableview datasource and just changed some stuff around to suit my needs - ive triple checked all my code and cannot figure out why im getting this.. If anyone can help please do, it would be much appreciated. if more of my code is needed ill post.. let me know

  Hi, I'm pretty new to C++ and have run into a problem which I have not been able to solve. I'm trying to convert a System::String to a wchar_t pointer that I can keep for longer than the scope of the function. Once I'm finished with it, I want to clean it up properly.   Hi, i'm using ASP.NET + a MySql Db. Unable to find the requested .Net Framework data provider" For instance, i've installed it , but i've also uninstalled old version, then installed new versions. In my project i simple copy Mysql dll into "bin" folder, then add a reference to that dll. I'm not sure is the corrected way... I need to have the "refreshed schema" to permit vs.net to build automatically my listview ... if i can't to "auto build" listview, i have to write all code by hand, and it is a too expensive work me :( What i'm wrong ?   I have a ruby-on-rails application that wishes to utilise the tumblr gem for adding posts when an action is taken (eg: creating a blog post) I currently have the tumblr gem installed and can manage to fetch my posts using @tumblruser = Tumblr::User.new('myemail','mypassword') However when i go to add a post where it asks me to pass the user information like so (according to the API for the gem) post = Tumblr::Post.create(@tumblruser, :type => 'video', :embed => @post.video_html, :title => @post.title, :caption => @post.content) it just does not want to authenticate and returns a 403 error anyone had any experience with this?

  Hi , I have a Fortran 77 program code , I am using fortran power station on XP . • URLs with query stripped of ampersands appearing in error logs

  I've noticed a curious phenomena popping up in my error logs recently. If, as the result of processing a form, I redirect my users to the URL http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=bar&bar=baz, I will see the following two URLs in my log http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=barbar=baz http://www.example.com/index.php?foo=bar&bar=baz The first one is obviously incorrect and will cause my application to redirect to a 404. It always appears first, usually a second before the second one. The 404 page is not doing the redirection, so it appears that the browser is trying both versions. At first, looking at my server logs made me believe it affected only Firefox 3.6.3, but I've found an example of Safari being afflicted as well. It happens fairly intermittently, though it can occur multiple times in a users' session. I've never been able to get it to happen to me. Any thoughts as to the nature of the problem or a solution?

• Error opening streamreader because file is used by another process

  I am developing an application to read an excel spreadsheet, validate the data and then map it to a sql table. The process is to read the file via a streamreader, validate the data, manually make corrections to the excel spreadsheet, validate again -- repeat this process until all data validates. If the excel spreadsheet is open, then when I attempt to read the data via a streamreader I get an error, "The process cannot access the file ... because it is being used by another process." Is there a way to remove the lock or otherwise read the data into a streamreader without having to open and close excel each time?

• "Access is denied" error on accessing iframe document object

  For posting AJAX forms in a form with many parameters, I am using a solution of creating an iframe, posting the form to it by POST, and then accessing the iframe's content. specifically, I am accessing the content like this: $("some_iframe_id").get(0).contentWindow.document I tested it and it worked. On some of the pages, I started getting an "Access is denied" error. As far as I know, this shouldn't happen if the iframe is served from the same domain. I'm pretty sure it was working before. Anybody have a clue? If I'm not being clear enough: I'm posting to the same domain. So this is not a cross-domain request. I am testing on IE only. P.S. I can't use simple ajax POST queries (don't ask...)

The program is executed in java 1.5 VM installed in RHEL Any idea when this kind of exception will pop up? • Error "E_UNEXPECTED(0x8000FFFF)" when using CDec/CInt/IsNumeric

  I have encountered a strange problem, which I could solve but don't understand why it did occur. I have build a DLL with COM enabled. In this DLL I have classes that did use the functions CInt, CDec and IsNumeric. If I test these classes from a .NET application then it works ok. But when I called/run these classes from a Win32 application (with COM) then I did get an "E_UNEXPECTED(0x8000FFFF)" error. After some debugging I found out that the problem would go away if I: - replaced IsNumeric with Integer.TryParse or Decimal.TryParse - replaced CInt with Integer.Parse - replaced CDec with Decimal.Parse Can anyone explain this? Again, I could solve it by doing this but I would like to know why.

• IDENTITY_INSERT is set to off error

  I have a MVC web application with a table in the model that I would like to add to. I have the primary key set along with the other data fields, but every time I try to add to the table, I get the following error: "Cannot insert explicit value for identity column in table 'TABLE_NAME' when IDENTITY_INSERT is set to OFF." I'm not sure why this problem is coming up, I have the primary key set as the identity and it is also set to auto increment in the Visual Studio table designer. Is there any way I can adjust the IDENTITY_INSERT parameter in the table designer in Visual Studio?? Or is there some other issue that might be causing this.

  I was trying to install Microsoft SQL Server 2005 on my Windows 7 pc. When I tried to install it, it tells me that I have a newer version installed on my pc. So, I checked that Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 installed some sql server 2008 tools for me. I decided to uninstall SharePoint 2010(which I wasn't using) and then tried to install MS SQL Server 2005 again. This threw me the following exception: Error 1603 installing microsoft sql server setup support files Searching on Google I found this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916760 but it's not my case actually. Any help will be appreciated. I really need this to continue working.
