• Cannot enable wireless Ubuntu 10.04

  I have recently installed Ubuntu 10.04, however I am having trouble getting wireless to work. Ubuntu says that wireless is disabled, and I am unable to enable it. I have tried Administration Hardware Drivers however the only drivers listed are Nivida graphics ones. I am unsure what to do as I do not think the process is the same as searching for drivers for a windows machine. Any advice appreciated.

• Sound has stopped working after upgrading to Windows 8

  I upgraded my (fairly new, about 2 months old) computer to Windows 8 last night, and now the sound has stopped working across the entire machine. I have checked using multiple programs (iTunes, YouTube, World of Warcraft, etc) and multiple output devices (speakers and headset), checked the soundcard drivers (Asus Xonar DG 5.1), checked the volume mixer to ensure I wasn't just having a brainfart and had the sound muted, but nothing's working. Does anyone have any advice on what could be causing this? Thanks Max

  In my Core i5 desktop machine I tried to install windows 7 32 bit Ultimate. I received blue screen of death while installing OS. Earlier I had was 64 bit Windows vista which was working fine but now i cant install any of OS. When I try to re-install OS again same error screen pops up? how can I fix this ? I have 4GB of RAM installed does it have problems with 32 bit OS. When I install second OS I didn't reformat the entire hard disk.

  Running the latest version of VirtualBox on OSX and hosting a Windows virtual machine. Is there a way to put shortcuts on your Mac desktop for the Windows apps that you run in seamless mode? I can't find a way to do this, so every time I want to newly launch a Windows app in seamless mode I have to access the full Windows desktop, start the app and hit HostKey+L. Really a pain for apps that you want to run in seamless mode all time.

  I am installing Visual Studio 2010 on a vista 64 bits machine. During the install it asked for a restart. Since that, vista won't load. I tried restore to previous good configuration - didn't help. I am only able to boot it using safe mode with networking. When I did that, it continued the vista part of the install (the screen with the 3 out of 3 updates) but after that when I restarted again - still fails.

  Hi In this scenario there is point -to point serial connection between R6 and R7 , there is router R10 whose interface F0/0 is having ip address of 10.1.1.2/24 and there is a host machine (R9) with ip address 10.1.1.1/24 which is running an application, My problem is that Application on R9 will only work when it will get its Gateway as 10.1.1.1/24 which is of router (R10) , is there any way i can make R6 and R7 transparent for R9 and R10, Or any type of routing using GRE / Route-map or any other way. I have an exact copy of the hardware of it, which I intend to use a a redundant backup in case my server fails (hardware or software). I'd like to routinely "clone" my production server's hard drive, so that when it fails, I'll just swap it with the latest clone. Is this even possible?
