  • How do I prevent use of beta classes from google guava library?

    We have been using Google collections in the production for several months. We would like to start using guava for additional functions. However, I'm afraid to bring guava into our product stack b/c some developers may start to use 'beta' classes. We have various unit-tests in our code but at this point, I prefer not to include 'beta' class b/c it is subject to change in the future. Is there any easy way to do detect if the project includes any 'beta' guava classes?

  • Can the google map API return a street address that was clicked.

    Hi guys, I'm trying to work out an app design in my head and I would like the user to be able to click there destination address on the map of there area. If I know the user is in Liverpool is it possible to pop up the map over liverpool and then allow the user to select on the map where they wanna go, and the google map/api return the street or the name of the area? I've never used googlemap/api yet so just wondering if this kind of thing is possible on the iphone yet. Many Thanks -Code

  • Is flash's geturl(...) spiderable by google?

    If I made a homepage with an embedded .swf which had buttons that linked to other html pages on my website using the getUrl() function, would those links be spiderable by google? Or should I also put in text links outside of the .swf (which would ruin the design a bit)? I know a lot of people will argue I shouldn't have flash as the main content on the homepage (and their comments are appreciated), but bear in mind, that's not my question.

  • Bank Interleave Requested but not enabled

    I have a ECS A770M-A motherboard with a 2.2GHz Phenom 64 Quad Core processor with 4 gigs of ram. I also have a 1GB DDR3 Zotac GeForce 9500GT video card installed in the computer. I believe the main memory is DDR2. The problem I am having is that I get a "Bank Interleave Requested but not Enabled" error on startup. The computer boots up fine (no error) with the 4gigs of ram if I replace the video card with the previous 256MB video card. I have also tried placing a single gig of ram in the computer with the Zotac video card and still get the error. My question is what would typically cause this error and would a DDR3 video ram be compatible with DDR2 system ram? Thanks

  • Got black screen when recording screen from xvfb by ffmpeg x11grab device

    I'm trying to record video from a firefox run by xvfb-run but it always output nothing in the video file except black screen. Here's what I did: start a firefox, open google.com: $ xvfb-run firefox https://google.com Then it will use the default display server number 99. I can see the display information by command xdpyinfo -display :99. A screenshot works very well by command: $ xwd -root -silent -display :99.0 | xwdtopnm |pnmtojpeg > screen.jpg Start using ffmpeg to record a video: $ ffmpeg -f x11grab -i :99.0 out.mpg When I play the video file out.mpg, there's black screen all the time. Is there any parameter I missed? Updates I made progress that the video works instead of black screen only by this command: $ ffmpeg -y -r 30 -g 300 -f x11grab -s 1024x768 -i :99 -vcodec qtrle out.mov Notice it requires the screen resolution matches by specify more options to xvfb-run: $ xvfb-run -s "-screen 0 1224x768x16" -a firefox http://google.com But I still want to get more feedbacks and answers here.

  • Edit Media Center TV Recordings with Windows Live Movie Maker

    Have you ever wanted to take a TV program you’ve recorded in Media Center and remove the commercials or save clips of favorite scenes? Today we’ll take a look at editing WTV and DVR-MS files with Windows Live Movie Maker. Download and Install Windows Live Movie Maker. The download link can be found at the end of the article. WLMM is part of Windows Live Essentials, but you can choose to install only the applications you want. You’ll also want to be sure to uncheck any unwanted settings like settings Bing as default search provider or MSN as your browser home page.   Add your recorded TV file to WLMM by clicking the Add videos and photos button, or by dragging and dropping it onto the storyboard.   You’ll see your video displayed in the Preview window on the left and on the storyboard. Adjust the Zoom Time Scale slider at the lower right to change the level of detail displayed on the storyboard. You may want to start zoomed out and zoom in for more detailed edits.   Removing Commercials or Unwanted Sections Note: Changes and edits made in Windows Live Movie Maker do not change or effect the original video file. To accomplish this, we will makes cuts, or “splits,” and the beginning and end of the section we want to remove, and then we will delete that section from our project. Click and drag the slider bar along the the storyboard to scroll through the video. When you get to the end of a row in on the storyboard, drag the slider down to the beginning of the next row. We’ve found it easiest and most accurate to get close to the end of the commercial break and then use the Play button and the Previous Frame and Next Frame buttons underneath the Preview window to fine tune your cut point. When you find the right place to make your first cut, click the split button on the Edit tab on the ribbon. You will see your video “split” into two sections. Now, repeat the process of scrolling through the storyboard to find the end of the section you wish to cut. When you are at the proper point, click the Split button again.   Now we’ll delete that section by selecting it and pressing the Delete key, selecting remove on the Home tab, or by right clicking on the section and selecting Remove.   Trim Tool This tool allows you to select a portion of the video to keep while trimming away the rest.   Click and drag the sliders in the preview windows to select the area you want to keep. The area outside the sliders will be trimmed away. The area inside is the section that is kept in the movie. You can also adjust the Start and End points manually on the ribbon.   Delete any additional clips you don’t want in the final output. You can also accomplish this by using the Set start point and Set end point buttons. Clicking Set start point will eliminate everything before the start point. Set end point will eliminate everything after the end point. And you’re left with only the clip you want to keep.   Output your Video Select the icon at the top left, then select Save movie. All of these settings will output your movie as a WMV file, but file size and quality will vary by setting. The Burn to DVD option also outputs a WMV file, but then opens Windows DVD Maker and prompts you to create and burn a DVD.   Conclusion WLMM is one of the few applications that can edit WTV files, and it’s the only one we’re aware of that’s free. We should note only WTV and DVR-MS files will appear in the Recorded TV library in Media Center, so if you want to view your WMV output file in WMC you’ll need to add it to the Video or Movie library.     More than 24 hours of video content are uploaded to the internet per minute. With so many videos being uploaded, there’s no doubt you’ve come across a video you want to keep. Read on to find out how you can download your favorite videos for offline viewing. This method of downloading YouTube videos, is different, in the sense that you are just retrieving a buffered version of the video from your browsers cache. While you could always do this manually, different browsers store the cache in different places, a much easier method would be to head over to the NirSoft site and download a copy of Video Cache View (choose the zipped version), which allows you to view all the videos in your cache and supports all major browsers.
