• SEO and dynamic javascript HTML switching

  just wondering if anyone knows anything of using javascript to set html to new content instead of linking to new pages, if this is generally a bad idea or if it kind of hurts SEO(which im kind of new to) Basically the home page displays given content, and the links to like contact pages and stuff, just change the body content to what would normally be a separate html page. my OCD kinda bugs me when pages reload and either flash the background or its offset somehow, so i wanted to know if making sites like this was a bad idea or whatever- i suppose at the least, i could create duplicates/hidden pages for SEO purposes

  I wrote a code which takes some values from one table and inserts the other table in these values.(not just these values, but also these values(this values=values from the based on table)) and I get this error: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException (0x80040E10): value wan't given for one or more of the required parameters.` here's the code. However, when I open the changed document, I dont see my ribbon added. I see following in the CustomUI/CustomUI.xml inside the word:- <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><customUI xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2006/01/customui"> <ribbon xmlns=""> <tabs> ..... I am not sure how the "xmlns" attribute is getting added to the ribbon element. When I remove that attribute, the ribbon gets showed. Could anybody throw any idea on where am I going wrong?

• Java 2D clip area to shape

  I'm quite new to graphics in java and I'm trying to create a shape that clips to the bottom of another shape. Here is an example of what I'm trying to achieve: Where the white line at the base of the shape is the sort of clipped within the round edges. The current way I am doing this is like so: g2.setColor(gray); Shape shape = getShape(); //round rectangle g2.fill(shape); Rectangle rect = new Rectangle(shape.getBounds().x, shape.getBounds().y, width, height - 3); Area area = new Area(shape); area.subtract(new Area(rect)); g2.setColor(white); g2.fill(area); I'm still experimenting with the clip methods but I can't seem to get it right. Is this current method ok (performance wise, since the component repaints quite often) or is there a more efficient way? Thanks in advance.

• Scala newbie vproducer/consumer attempt running out of memory

  I am trying to create a producer/consumer type Scala app. The LoopControl just sends a message to the MessageReceiver continually. The MessageReceiver then delegates work to the MessageCreatorActor (whose work is to check a map for an object, and if not found create one and start it up). Each MessageActor created by this MessageCreatorActor is associated with an Id. Eventually this is where I want to do business logic. But I run out of memory after 15 minutes. Its finding the cached actors,but quickly runs out of memory. Any help is appreciated. • Multi threading in WCF RIA Services

  I use WCF RIA Services to update customer database. In domain service: public void UpdateCustomer(Customer customer) { this.ObjectContext.Customers.AttachAsModified(customer); syncCustomer(customer); } After update, a database trigger launches and depending on the columns updated it may insert a new record in CustomerChange table. syncCustomer(customer) method is executed to check for a new record in the CustomerChange table and if found it will create a text file which contains customer information and forwards that file to external system for import. Now this synchronization may take a time so I wanted to execute it in different thread. So: private void syncCustomer(Customer customer) { this.ObjectContext.SaveChanges(); new Thread(() => syncCustomerInfo(customer.CustomerID)) { IsBackground = true }.Start(); } private void syncCustomerInfo(int customerID) { //Thread.Sleep(2000); //does real job here ... ... } The problem is in most cases syncCustomerInfo method cannot find any new CustomerChange record even if it was definitely there. If I force thread sleep then it finds a new record. I also looked Entity Framework events but the only event provided by object context is SavingChanges which occur before changes are saved. Please suggest me what else to try.

However when I try to create a song I get the following error:No action responded to 1.   I have a web service that I am re-writing from VB to a Java servlet.   Hi I hope someone can help me..... i am trying to build a dynamic form for a questionnaire module. Building on some previous posts I am using the process similar to that in question "http://stackoverflow.com/questions/629021/how-to-generate-a-formmxform-dynamically-in-flex" i have managed to prove out the fact of extending the XML to include a calendar, combobox etc. my problem is that now need to get the data from an ArrayCollection rather than from an xml file. • Backbone events not firing (this.el undefined) & general feedback on use of the framework

  I am very new to backbone.js and I am struggling a little. I figured out a way to get data from the server (in json) onto the screen successfully but am I doing it the right/best way? I know there is something wrong because the only view which contains a valid this.el is the parent view. I suspect that because of this, the events of the view are not firing ()... What is the best way forward?   I've made a lot of progress on this project (with earlier help with forum member Eric Badger, thanks!!) but I now need help with fine-tuning the infoWindow. Presently, you checkbox one of the historic maps choices -- the map appears as a ground overlay, and if you click it, you get info about the map which appears in a div (yellow area at the bottom). I want the info to appear in a more traditional window on the map, just to the center-right of the overlay map. It should have a close-option (X at the top corner?) Also, if you uncheck one of the boxes -- the overlay map disappears but the info window should close as well.  As you see my javascript skills are very limited. I would very much appreciate your help with this.   I have a Store that contains a list of Products: var store = new Store(); store.Products.Add(new Product{ Id = 1, Name = "Apples" }; store.Products.Add(new Product{ Id = 2, Name = "Oranges" }; Database.Save(store); Now, I want to edit one of the Products, but with a transient entity. This will be, for example, data from a web browser: // this is what I get from the web browser, this product should // edit the one that's already in the database that has the same Id var product = new Product{ Id = 2, Name = "Mandarin Oranges" }; store.Products.Add(product); Database.Save(store); However, trying to do it this way gives me an error: a different object with the same identifier value was already associated with the session How do I get around this problem?
