    Evaluating a third party data processing tool, I have bumped into a case where some WinZip files cause an exception: Caused by: gnu.java.util.zip.ZipException: Unknown compression method 98 at gnu.java.util.zip.ZipFile.getInputStream(ZipFile.java:470) I have seen this with files created with WinZip 11.2 and newer. What's the latest version of WinZip (or compatible compression method) that the zip.dll can handle? I've been hunting for some reference on this, but other than unversioned source code, I have had little luck so far.

    In our organization, we are still on .net 1.1 environment, using javascript, a few open source applications/widgets. Development is done using Visual Studio 2003, grid view, and iframes. Our application works in Internet Explorer 7 and IE 8 (in compatibilily mode). Can anyone give any basic steps we can take to get our application to work cross browsers? What are the starting locations we can get at to start making existing code work in different browsers?

    So I have a project structure like so: MyProject/ src/ //subfolders and source code ..... tests/ package/ MyTest.php I am trying to run the unit tests in MyTest.php with PHPUnit but it has a use statement for PHP classes located in the src folder. So I tried to use the include-path directive for PHPUnit like so: (I am in the directory with MyTest.php) phpunit --include-path ~/workspace/MyProject/src/ MyTest Unfortunately execution is halting at the first use statement. What gives?

    The Compare method in Linq lets you find by an IEqualityComparer, but I can't find a counterpart method that allows you retrieve an item by the same comparer. Is this really the best way to do it? Here's the basic example: def OnSubscribe(observer as IObservable[of string]) as callable: print "subscribing" def Dispose(): print "disposing" return Dispose observable = System.Linq.Observable.Create[of string](OnSubscribe) observer = System.Linq.Observer.Create[of string]({x as string | print x}) observable.Subscribe(observer) The Subscribe here gives a System.InvalidCastException: Cannot cast from source type to destination type. The issue appears to be with how I'm creating the observable, but I've struggled to see where the type problem arises from. Ideas?
