  • How to parse a raw HTTP response?

    - by Ed
If I have a raw HTTP response as a string: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Tue, 11 May 2010 07:28:30 GMT Expires: -1 Cache-Control: private, max-age=0 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Server: gws X-XSS-Protection: 1; mode=block Connection: close <!doctype html><html>...</html> Is there an easy way I can parse it into an HttpListenerResponse object? Or at least some kind .NET object so I don't have to work with raw responses. What I'm doing currently is extracting the header key/value pairs and setting them on the HttpListenerResponse. But some headers can't be set, and then I have to cut out the body of the response and write it to the OutputStream. But the body could be gzipped, or it could be an image, which I can't get to work yet. And some responses contain random characters everywhere, which looks like an encoding problem. It's a lot of trouble. I'm getting a raw response because I'm using SOCKS to send an HTTP request. The program I'm working on is basically an HTTP proxy that can route requests through a SOCKS proxy, like Privoxy does.

  • Firefox extension that overlays persistent iFrame?

    - by Crashalot
Is it possible to build a Firefox extension that displays a floating, persistent iFrame over the page content? I know it's possible to add iFrames using XUL. For instance, you can add an iFrame to a persistent sidebar. However, I want the iFrame to float over the page content, not cause the content to shrink. So far, my only option is to add the iFrame to the DOM, then use CSS "fixed" positioning to float the iFrame. The iFrame must also persist across page loads, exactly as the sidebar does. Adding an iFrame to the DOM, unfortunately, causes the iFrame to vanish when the browser renders a new page (e.g., after clicking a link). Any clues? Thanks!

  • Telerik MVC Combobox AutoComplete error

    - by Roachmans
I am using the Telerik autocomplete option In the header: <script type="text/javascript"> function onAutoCompleteDataBinding(e) { var autocomplete = $('#AutoComplete').data('tAutoComplete'); autocomplete.dataBind(["Product 1", "Product 2", "Product 3"]} </script> In the body of the View: <%=Html.Telerik().AutoComplete() .Name("AutoComplete") .ClientEvents(events => events.OnDataBinding("onAutoCompleteDataBinding")) %> http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-mvc/combobox/clientsidebinding I have managed to get this working on other applications and it is really quite simple. I have pasted this example on top to show that this one also bombs out on : this.trigger = new $t.list.trigger(this); Think i might have mixed up the .js files and now my auto complete is not working. Any sugesions which js files and in what order they must be for this to work right My Page master relevant parts: <body> <% Html.Telerik().ScriptRegistrar() .DefaultGroup(group => group .Add("MicrosoftAjax.js") .Add("MicrosoftMvcAjax.js") ); %> <div class="MainTableBody"> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="ContentPlaceHolder" runat="server" /> </div> <% Html.Telerik().ScriptRegistrar().Render(); %> </body> </html> In my web.config <add namespace="Telerik.Web.Mvc.UI" /> Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated

  • Why Does My Website Redirect me to my localhost?

    - by Noah Brainey
Alright, my website has some issues that I'm not sure what's causing them. Visit this page http://online-file-sharing.net/tos.html and click one of the bottom footer links... it redirects you to your localhost in the address bar. I have no idea why it does this. I'm hosting this website on my own server, which is this computer, and using Xampp. If this information helps. Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm also using DYNDNS as my nameservers. I've already ask this question on superuser and webapps QnA sites neither could help. They said to come here. Another thing to note is that this website runs on one script and not multiple scripts (upload.cgi). However there are three files that aren't dynamic and aren't part of the upload.cgi file... these are about.html, browse.html and tos.html. Another thing to note is that my homepage which is upload.cgi can only be accessed by manually typing in online-file-sharing.net/cgi-bin/upload.cgi (which isn't it's real location but it seems to recognize it this way... but redirects me to my localhost). .htaccess file code: DirectoryIndex upload.cgi My upload.cgi path code: my $version = "4.14"; $ENV{PATH} = '/bin:/usr/bin'; delete @ENV{'IFS', 'CDPATH', 'ENV', 'BASH_ENV'}; ($ENV{DOCUMENT_ROOT}) = ($ENV{DOCUMENT_ROOT} =~ /(.*)/); # untaint. #$ENV{SCRIPT_NAME} = '/cgi-bin/upload.cgi'; use lib './perlmodules'; #use Time::HiRes 'gettimeofday'; #my $hires_start = gettimeofday(); my (%PREF,%TEXT) = (); The script I'm using is FileChucker. I hope this information is enough to find an answer... if not please let me know and I'll post as much information as you need!

  • C# mvc2 client side form validation with xval, prevent post

    - by Rob
I'm using xval to use client side validation in my asp.net mvc2 webapplication. Despite the errors it's giving when i enter text in a nummeric field it still tries to post the form to the database. The incorrect values are being replaced by 0 and saved to the database. But instead it shouldn't even be possible to try and submit the form. Can anyone help me out here? I've set the attributes as below; [Property] [ShowColumnInCrud(true, label = "FromPriceInCents")] [Required] //[Range(1, Int32.MaxValue)] public virtual Int32 FromPriceInCents{ get; set; } The controller catching the request looks as below; I'm getting no errors in this part. [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] [Transaction] [ValidateInput(false)] public override ActionResult Create() { //some foo happens } My view looks like below; <div class="label"><label for="Price">FromPrice</label></div> <div class="field"> <%= Html.TextBox("FromPriceInCents")%> <%= Html.ValidationMessage("product.FromPriceInCents")%></div> And at the end of the view i have the following rule which in html code generates the correct validation rules <%= Html.ClientSideValidation<Product>("Product") %> I hope someone can helps me out with this issue, thanks in advance!

  • Building an automatic web crawler

    - by Sakin
I am building a web application crawler that's meant not only to find all the links or pages in a web application, but also perform all the allowed actions in the app (such as pushing buttons, filling forms, notice changes in the DOM even if they did not trigger a request etc.) Basically, this is a kind of "browser simulator". I find WebKit a good option to implement my crawler, since it has all the needed technology (Javascript engine, parsers, DOM manipulation, etc.) but it seems kind of an overkill being a fully featured browser. Is there any toolkit you know that can provide the above functionality?

  • Still confused about JavaScript's 'this'.

    - by Nick Lowman
I've been reading through quite a few articles on the 'this' keyword when using JavaScript objects and I'm still somewhat confused. I'm quite happy writing object orientated Javascript and I get around the 'this' issue by referring the full object path but I don't like the fact I still find 'this' confusing. I found a good answer here which helped me but I'm still not 100% sure. So, onto the example. The following script is linked from test.html with <script src="js/test.js"></script> if (!nick) { var nick = {}; } nick.lowman = function(){ var helloA = 'Hello A'; console.log('1.',this, this.helloA); var init = function(){ var helloB = 'Hello B'; console.log('2.',this, this.helloB); } return { init: init } }(); nick.lowman.init(); What kind of expected to see was 1. Object {} nick.lowman, 'Hello A' 2. Object {} init, 'Hello B' But what I get is this? 1. Window test.html, undefined 2. Object {} init, undefined I think I understand some of what's happening there but I would mind if someone out there explains it to me. Also, I'm not entirely sure why the first 'console.log' is being called at all? If I remove the call to the init function //nick.lowman.init() firebug still outputs 1. Window test.html, undefined. Why is that? Why does nick.lowman() get called by the window object when the html page loads? Many thanks

  • Handling 2 buttons submit Actions in a single View/Form - ASP.NET MVC 2 RTM

    - by Leniel Macaferi
I have a View in which the user is able to upload a file to the server. In this view I also have 2 buttons: one to Upload a file and other to Download the last file imported. In my Controller I created 2 action methods: Import and Export. How could I manage to redirect each button click to the proper action method in my Controller? I have tried Html.ActionLink: <%= Html.ActionLink("Upload", "Import", "OracleFile")%> <%= Html.ActionLink("Download", "Export", "OracleFile")%> Html.ActionLink didn't do the trick. The action links were taking me to the right Action methods but they were generating a GET request. This way Request.Files.Count = 0. I need a POST request. Note: the most intriguing part is that the upload was working and all of sudden it stopped working. I've seen that some people are having the same problem with FileUpload tasks in which the Request.Files is always Empty. I think it's empty because you need a post to the server. Isn't it?

  • Need help using the DefaultModelBinder for a nested model.

    - by Will
There are a few related questions, but I can't find an answer that works. Assuming I have the following models: public class EditorViewModel { public Account Account {get;set;} public string SomeSimpleStuff {get;set;} } public class Account { public string AccountName {get;set;} public int MorePrimitivesFollow {get;set;} } and a view that extends ViewPage<EditorViewModel> which does the following: <%= Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.Account.AccountName)%> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.Account.AccountName)%> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.SomeSimpleStuff )%> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.SomeSimpleStuff )%> and my controller looks like: [HttpPost] public virtual ActionResult Edit(EditorViewModel account) { /*...*/ } How can I get the DefaultModelBinder to properly bind my EditorViewModel? Without doing anything special, I get an empty instance of my EditorViewModel with everything null or default. The closest I've come is by calling UpdateModel manually: [HttpPost] public virtual ActionResult Edit(EditorViewModel account) { account.Account = new Account(); UpdateModel(account.Account, "Account"); // this kills me: UpdateModel(account); This successfully updates my Account property model, but when I call UpdateModel on account (to get the rest of the public properties of my EditorViewModel) I get the completely unhelpful "The model of type ... could not be updated." There is no inner exception, so I can't figure out what's going wrong. What should I do with this?

  • How to secure Add child record functionality in MVC on Parent's view?

    - by RSolberg
    I'm trying to avoid some potential security issues as I expose some a new set of functionality into the real world. This is basically functionality that will allow for a new comment to be added via a partialview on the "Parent" page. My comment needs to know a couple of things, first what record is the comment for and secondly who is making the comment. I really don't like using a hidden field to store the ID for the Parent record in the add comment form as that can be easily changed with some DOM mods. How should I handle this? PARENT <% Html.RenderPartial("AddComment", Model.Comments); %> CHILD <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<CommentsViewModel>" %> <% using (Html.BeginForm("AddComment", "Requests")) {%> <fieldset> <legend>New Comment</legend> <%= Html.HiddenFor(p => p.RequestID) %> <%= Html.TextBoxFor(p => p.Text) %> &nbsp; <input type="submit" value="Add" /> </fieldset> <% } %> CONTROLLER [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public void AddComment(CommentsViewModel commentsModel) { var user = GetCurrentUser(); commentsModel.CreatedByID = user.UserID; RequestsService.AddComment(commentsModel); }

  • Why is Raphael.JS creating paper with dimensions 1000x1000?

    - by Bryan
    I have a demo using raphael.js. The code for it is very simple but when viewed in Internet Explorer (less that version 9) I get a Raphael canvas that is 1000px by 1000px and I can't figure out why. I'm using version 1.5.2 of Raphael. Code below: HTML <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>Raphael Test</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="test.css"> <link href="../shared/img/favicon.png" rel="shortcut icon"> </head> <body> <div id="graph"></div> <script src="../shared/js/raphael/raphael-min.js" type="text/javascript"> </script> <script src="test.js" type="text/javascript"> </script> </body> </html> CSS /* Graph */ #graph { padding: 5px; width: 477px; height: 299; } JS var holder = document.getElementById('graph') , width = holder.scrollWidth , height = Math.round(width * 0.5625) + 25 , p = Raphael(10, 50, width, height) , c = p.circle(p.width - 50, p.height - 50, 50); alert(p.width + ' & ' + p.height); I found a discussion in Raphael's Google group with the same problem but no resolution.

  • Trigger event after GDirections.loadFromWaypoints in Google Maps API

    - by Soldarnal
I'm attempting to add some text to the directions results the Google Maps API returns to the specified div (directionsPanel). This code below would work fine, except that the jQuery line fires before loadFromWaypoints has finished modifying the DOM. If I run that line by manually triggering it after the directions content has finished loading, it executes as expected. directions = new GDirections(map, directionsPanel); directions.loadFromWaypoints(waypoints); $("td[@jscontent='address']").append(" some content"); How can I add some sort of listener (on perhaps either the loadFromWaypoints callback function or the directionsPanel div itself) to execute my jQuery line after the DOM has finished reloading?

  • Javascript Print Script Not Working in IE

    - by TY
Greets! I'm a noob struggling to learn html and javascript - getting there slowly. I'm trying to print a DIV served up by SimpleModal. The page is at: www.planetsarsfield.com This "Print" function is in the recipe box at the bottom. Everything works great in FF, but it doesn't work at all in IE8. I must be doing something fundamentally wrong but I can't spot it. Any ideas? Cheers, TY ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ <script type="text/javascript"> function PrintElem(elem) { Popup($(elem).html()); } function Popup(data) { var mywindow = window.open('', 'basic-modal-content', 'height=400,width=600'); mywindow.document.write('<html><head><title>on the grill... latest recipe</title>'); mywindow.document.write('<link href="PATH/print.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />') mywindow.document.write('</head><body >'); mywindow.document.write(data); mywindow.document.write('</body></html>'); mywindow.document.close(); mywindow.print(); return true; } </script>

  • loading content from php file with jQuery

    - by Billa
The following code fetch all data (by clicking a.info link) from a php file "info.php" and prints in the #content div. The problem is that it prints everything from info.php file. Can I possibly select only some part of data from info.php file to load in #content? The reason to ask this question is that, I want to load different data from the same php file for the different links. $("a.info").click(function(){ var id=$(this).attr("id"); $("#box").slideDown("slow"); $.ajax({ type: "POST", data: "id="+$(this).attr("id"), url: "info.php", success: function(html){ $("#content").html(html); } }); }); Html where content is loading: <div id="box"> <div id="content"></div> </div> info.php paragraph1. paragraph2. For example, In the above info.php file, i only want to load paragraph1 in the #content. I hope my question is clear. Any help will be appreciated.

  • dximagetransform.matrix, absolutely position child elements not rotating in IE 8 standards mode

    - by davydka
I've looked all over for more information on this, and would like to know why it happens. Here's the code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html> <head> </head> <body> <div style="position:absolute; top:200px; left:200px; height:200px; width:200px; border:1px solid black; filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Matrix(sizingMethod='auto expand', M11=0.9886188373396114, M12=-0.15044199698646263, M21=0.15044199698646263, M22=0.9886188373396114);"> <div style="position:absolute; top:10px; left:10px; border:1px solid darkblue;"> I do not rotate in IE 8. </div> </div> </body> </html> The problem is that absolutely or relatively positioned elements within a div that has been rotated using MS's dximagetransform.matrix do not inherit the transformation in IE 8. IE 6 & 7 render correctly, and I can solve the IE8 problem by triggering compatibility mode, but I'd rather not do that. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm using css3 transform on other browsers and using dximagetransform.matrix to achieve this effect in IE. EDIT: Added the opening html tag. Problem still exists. http://i45.tinypic.com/nf4gmq.png

  • Asp.Net MVC2 Clientside Validation problem with controls with prefixes

    - by alexander
The problem is: when I put 2 controls of the same type on a page I need to specify different prefixes for binding. In this case the validation rules generated right after the form are incorrect. So how to get client validation work for the case?: the page contains: <% Html.RenderPartial(ViewLocations.Shared.PhoneEditPartial, new PhoneViewModel { Phone = person.PhonePhone, Prefix = "PhonePhone" }); Html.RenderPartial(ViewLocations.Shared.PhoneEditPartial, new PhoneViewModel { Phone = person.FaxPhone, Prefix = "FaxPhone" }); %> the control ViewUserControl<PhoneViewModel>: <%= Html.TextBox(Model.GetPrefixed("CountryCode"), Model.Phone.CountryCode) %> <%= Html.ValidationMessage("Phone.CountryCode", new { id = Model.GetPrefixed("CountryCode"), name = Model.GetPrefixed("CountryCode") })%> where Model.GetPrefixed("CountryCode") just returns "FaxPhone.CountryCode" or "PhonePhone.CountryCode" depending on prefix And here is the validation rules generated after the form. They are duplicated for the field name "Phone.CountryCode". While the desired result is 2 rules (required, number) for each of the FieldNames "FaxPhone.CountryCode", "PhonePhone.CountryCode" The question is somewhat duplicate of http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2675606/asp-net-mvc2-clientside-validation-and-duplicate-ids-problem but the advise to manually generate ids doesn't helps.

  • How do I dynamically create a document for download in Javascript?

    - by Nelson
I'm writing some Javascript code that generates an XML document in the client (via Google Earth plugin). I'd like the user to be able to click a button on the page and be prompted to save that XML to a new file. If I were generating the XML server-side this would be easy, just make the button open the link. But the XML is generated client-side. I've come up with a couple of hacks that half-work, inspired in part by this StackOverflow question. But neither completely work. Here's a demo HTML with embedded code: <html><head><script> function getData() { return '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><doc>Hello</doc>'; } function dlDataURI() { window.open("data:text/xml;charset=utf-8," + getData()); } function dlWindow() { var w = window.open(); w.document.open(); w.document.write(getData()); w.document.close(); } </script><body> <div onclick="dlDataURI()">Click for Data URL</div> <div onclick="dlWindow()">Click for Window</div> </body></html> The dlDataURI() version works great in Firefox, poorly in Chrome (can't save), and not at all in IE. The Window() version works OK in Firefox and IE, and not well in Chrome (can't save, XML embedded inside HTML). Neither version ever prompts a user download, it always opens a new window trying to display the XML. Is there a good way to do what I want in client side Javascript? I'd like this to work in today's browsers, ideally Firefox, MSIE 8, and Chrome.

  • Pear Mail + Pear mail-mime URLs corrupted

    - by Nir
I'm using pear mail and pear mail mime to send UTF8 HTML emails. When I input urls such as //www.site.com.img they appear in the email as http:///www.site.com.img (note the three slashes). Anyone know how to use //www urls with pear-mail/mime ? To duplicate you can use the following code (taken from here) with change <?php require_once 'Mail.php'; require_once 'Mail\mime.php'; $message = new Mail_mime(); $text = 'Hello this is the Plain email'; $html = '<b>Hello</b> <img src="//www.site.com/img.src"/><hr />This is the HTML email.'; $message->setTXTBody($text); $message->setHTMLBody($html); $body = $message->get(); $extraheaders = array('From' => '[email protected]', 'Subject' => 'Subject'); $headers = $message->headers($extraheaders); $mail = Mail::factory('mail'); $mail->send('[email protected]', $headers, $body); ?> You will see the image as http:///www.site.com/img.src
