    Am I missing something or is there no documentation of WPF controls? When I look at MSDN, it says to reference System.Windows.Controls (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms752069.aspx), but this is for winforms? Where can I find the WPF object model?

  • How is the default constructor of System.Drawing.Graphics removed?

    When I try to create an object of Graphics, why doesn't the following work? System.Drawing.Graphics graphicsObj = new System.Drawing.Graphics(); (I am aware that I could create a private System.Windows.Forms.Panel Obj; and then do CreateGraphics() if I wanted it to work) I tried to find a custom constructor for Graphics, but I couldn't find one. Where did Microsoft define it, or how did it block it?

    What I'd like to use: 2009 XAML primitives How it would be nice to use them: <sapv:ExpressionTextBox xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" ExpressionType="x:String" /> What actually happens: "Type reference cannot find the public type named String" The examples I see don't have updated namespaces. I tried 2009 and 2010, but to no avail. This is in VS 2010 RTM. What am I doing wrong?

  • Should all the using directives for namespaces be inside the namespace?

    Microsoft StyleCop provided a warning when the using directives for namespaces are provided outside of the namespace. Is this really required as my view on this is that using dircetives for namespaces is for providing a alias name for namespace and for removing the need for providing the namespace name when a class/interface is used. I dont think it will be used for loading the assembly.

  • How do you make the scale animation begin at the middle of the object instead of the top left?

    What I am trying to accomplish: 10 percent increase scale transformation of a rectangle via Silverlight storyboard animation. What I currently doing: While in Expression Blend 3, I created a rectangle, created a storyboard, and created the scale transformation. The preview looked correct because the increase in scale begins in the middle of the object. When I run the project the scale transformation begins at the top left. Is there some piece of code missing?     Hi All, How can we set permissions for users to only allow them to download SSIS packages from the production server and but deny them permissions to run any package in the Server. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms141053(SQL.90).aspx If i assign users to any of the DB roles db_dtsadmin, db_dtsltduser, and db_dtsoperator they will automatically have permission to run the package.     I come from a Java background and have been using C# for the last year - So far the API docs I use are at MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms132397.aspx). I tend to use the lightweight C# docs. What annoys me about that is that I don't see one page with details of the class, a list of members, a list of methods and properties like I would with a Java API definition. Is this possible?

    Hi, I wanna do some local developer tests of IIS 7 but I don't have Windows Vista, 7 or 2008 server - I currently run XP SP3. I have Virtual PC installed so I can use Microsoft's IE compatibility images - are there any time-limited images that I can use with Virtual PC so I can check out IIS 7? The IIS 7 "Try it" link points to this page. But the VHS is for Windows Server platforms only I think and I don't want an ISO? Any advice?

    What is the advantage of using a ConcurrentBag(Of MyType) against just using a List(Of MyType)? The MSDN page on the CB (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd381779(v=VS.100).aspx) states that ConcurrentBag(Of T) is a thread-safe bag implementation, optimized for scenarios where the same thread will be both producing and consuming data stored in the bag So what is the advantage? I can understand the advantage of the other collection types in the Concurrency namespace, but this one puzzled me. Thanks.

  • Another Synergy issue: screen lock on Windows Server 2003

    I have set up Synergy on Unix systems with no problems, however when I set up a Synergy server on a Windows Server 2003 box using I get an error message that the mouse cursor is locked when trying to move to the client system. I use a Microsoft Natural keyboard in case that matters (seems Scroll Lock might be involved). Does anyone have experience with using Synergy on Windows systems that have reported mouse screen locking in the log when unable to mouse over to a client system?
