    Hi , in my database i have phone numbers with country code , which look somthing like 0044-123456 0044-123456 0014-123456 0014-123456 0024-123456 0024-123456 0034-123456 0044-123456 0044-123456 0024-123456 0034-123456 084-123456 084-123456 i want to total up the numbers by country, something like this output 0044 (2) 0024 (2) 0034 (1) 084 (2) 064 (5) Is it possible to do this with a SQL query?

  • dealing with a large flat data files with a very big record length

    I have a large data file that is creatd from a shell script. Next script processes it by sorting and reading several times, that takes more than 14 hours, it is not viable. I want to replace this long running script with a program, probably in JAVA, C, or COBOl, that can run on windows or on sun solaris. I have to read a group of records everytime, sort and process and write to the output sort file and at the same time insert into db2/sql tables.

    I want to calculate the quarter Hour from the given two datetimes: Suppose datetime1 and datetime2 , i am doing somewhat like this : int d = datetime2.Subtract(datetime1).Hours; double l = Math.Round(Convert.ToDouble(d/4)); but if the QuarterHour is 3 (ie d=3), whats the good way to show the output- should it be zero or the round one : 3/4 = 0.75. so should i round up to 1 or 0 is ok. And if round up to 1..how should i?

  • Command prompt in debug mode for Eclipse? (OpenCV + Eclipse + Win7)

    I am a beginner for Eclipse. I now have Eclipse C/C++ IDE with OpenCV library running on Windows 7. So far it works after spending hours trying to get it running. But then I realize that Eclipse does not pop up a command prompt as VS2010 does while debugging. And moreover Eclipse's debug mode is just stuck in there and refuse to output anything. But if the code doesn't involve the OpenCV things it works again. Below is the code I use for testing. It captures images from webcam and output it to the screen. The infinite loop (until you press 'q') makes sure it constantly grabs new inputs from the camera. I browsed through the workspace and run the exe just compiled and it worked flawlessly. So I don't think there's anything wrong in the code (it's an example code anyway In brief, can I just pop up a command prompt window in debug mode?   • SEHException External component has thrown exception in VS2005

    Hello! I imported inpout32.dll to the program and tried to do the parallel port interfacing for outputting and inputting through the port. But when the execution reaches the statement PortAccess.Output(888,0); it throws the above exception. The PortAccess class is defined in the inpout32.dll file which i downloaded from www.logix4u.net. Can anyone help me with this?

  • Simple way to play a single frequency in java?

    I just want to play a very simple, straight forward note by giving my computer a certain frequency as an integer, and from there I can figure out how to make it play the note longer or shorter. It does not necessarily have to come out of the actual sound card - if it's generated and output by the internal speaker that's okay. I looked at the midi libraries that java has included, and they are way more than what I want to do. This just needs to be very basic.

    I'm trying to pass in both the field and the value in a find call: @employee = Employee.find(:all, :conditions => [ '? = ?', params[:key], params[:value].to_i) The output is SELECT * FROM `employees` WHERE ('is_manager' = 1) Which returns no results, however when I try this directly in mysqsl using the same call without the '' around is_manager, it works fine.     Heya, I'm fetching a page using ajax (jquery) and appending certain data to the Requests query string to let the server know it shouldn't render the entire Page, just the view in question to the output buffer. I'm having no luck though, I can detect when the page needs to be rendered partially, but everything I've tried so far (including stuff like return PartialView()) isn't working. Any ideas?
