    I have a problem with vsftpd that replies "500 OOPS: priv_sock_get_int" when i do command "ls". following is a snip of ftp client console running on osx.   • Apache 2.4 + PHP-FPM + ProxyPassMatch

    I recently installed Apache 2.4 on my local machine, together with PHP 5.4.8 using PHP-FPM. Everything went quite smoothly (after a while...) but there is still a strange error: I configured Apache for PHP-FPM like this: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName localhost DocumentRoot "/Users/apfelbox/WebServer" ProxyPassMatch ^/(.*\.php(/.*)?)$ fcgi://127.0.0.1:9000/Users/apfelbox/WebServer/$1 </VirtualHost> It works, for example if I call http://localhost/info.php I get the correct phpinfo() (it is just a test file). If I call a directory however, I get a 404 with body File not found. and in the error log: [Tue Nov 20 21:27:25.191625 2012] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 28997] [client ::1:57204] AH01071: Got error 'Primary script unknown\n' Update I now tried doing the proxying with mod_rewrite: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName localhost DocumentRoot "/Users/apfelbox/WebServer" RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^/(.*\.php(/.*)?)$ fcgi://127.0.0.1:9000/Users/apfelbox/WebServer/$1 [L,P] </VirtualHost> But the problem is: it is always redirecting, because on http://localhost/ automatically http://localhost/index.php is requested, because of DirectoryIndex index.php index.html Update 2 Ok, so I think "maybe check whether there is a file to give to the proxy first: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName localhost DocumentRoot "/Users/apfelbox/WebServer" RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f RewriteRule ^/(.*\.php(/.*)?)$ fcgi://127.0.0.1:9000/Users/apfelbox/WebServer/$1 [L,P] </VirtualHost> Now the complete rewriting does not work anymore... Update 3 Now I have this solution: ServerName localhost DocumentRoot "/Users/apfelbox/WebServer" RewriteEngine on RewriteCond /Users/apfelbox/WebServer/%{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f RewriteRule ^/(.*\.php(/.*)?)$ fcgi://127.0.0.1:9000/Users/apfelbox/WebServer/$1 [L,P] First check, that there is a file to pass to PHP-FPM (with the full and absolute path) and then do the rewriting. This does not work when using URL rewriting inside a subdirectory, also it fails for URLs like http://localhost/index.php/test/ So back to square one. Any ideas?

  • "Error in the Site Data Web Service." when performing crawl

    Installed SharePoint Services v3 (SP2, october 2009 cumulative updates, Language Pack), attached to a content database I had previously (all works). Installed Search server 2008 Express (with language pack) on top of WSS and crawl does not work. However it works for newly created web application + database. Was playing around with accounts, permissions to try get it working. Currently I have WSS_Crawler account with such permissions: Office Search Server runs with WSS_Crawler account Config database has read permissions for WSS_Crawler Content database has read permissions for WSS_Crawler WSS_Crawler is owner of search database. Added WSS_Crawler to SQL server browser user group and administrator Yes, i'v given more permissions than needed, but it doesn't even work with that and i don't know if its permission problem or what. Crawl log says there is Error in the Site Data Web Service., nothing more. There were known issues with a similar error: Error in the Site Data Web Service. (Value does not fall within the expected range.), but this is not the case as thats an old issue and i hope it has been included in SP2... Logs are from olders to newest (descending order). They don't appear to be very helpful.     I've have a virtual machine with a VHD image that I've copied from Windows 7 to the Hyper-V server. This image was created on Windows 7 (Windows 7 64-bit), and I'm using it on Windows 7 as boot image. Starting this virtual machine with the Hyper-V Manager gives this error: "Boot failure. Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device." What do I need to do to boot from this vhd in Hyper-V?

    Hi, I am trying to setup James mail server on a linux machine. The linux machine has public static ip address assigned. I installed James and added in the config.xml added the servername as mydomain.com. In the DNS for mydomain.com, I have created a A-record, say mx.mydomain.com, which corresponds to the ipaddress of the above mail server machine. Then added mx.mydomain.com as MX record for mydomain.com. In James, I have created a new user test. Then from gmail, I sent a mail to [email protected]. The mail is not received back and it didn't even bounce back. The linux machine is behind a firewall with only 22, 80, 8080 ports open for external network. My question here is, Do I require do open any other ports on the firewall so that the mail I send from gmail arrives to James? If it's not the port problem, any views on solving this issue? I don't want to send mails from this server. It's only for receiving the mails.

    I'm trying to get my Pelican blog working. It uses lftp to transfer the actual blog to ones server, but I always get an error: mirror: Fatal error: Certificate verification: subjectAltName does not match ‘blogname.com’ I think lftp is checking the SSL and the quick setup of Pelican just forgot to include that I don't have SSL on my FTP. This is the code in Pelican's Makefile: ftp_upload: $(OUTPUTDIR)/index.html lftp ftp://$(FTP_USER)@$(FTP_HOST) -e "mirror -R $(OUTPUTDIR) $(FTP_TARGET_DIR) ; quit" which renders in terminal as: lftp ftp://[email protected] -e "mirror -R /Volumes/HD/Users/me/Test/output /myblog_directory ; quit" What I managed so far is, denying the SSL check by changing the Makefile to: lftp ftp://$(FTP_USER)@$(FTP_HOST) -e "set ftp:ssl-allow no" "mirror -R $(OUTPUTDIR) $(FTP_TARGET_DIR) ; quit" Due to my incorrect implementation I get logged in correctly (lftp [email protected]:~>) but the one line feature doesn't work anymore and I have to enter the mirror command by hand: mirror -R /Volumes/HD/Users/me/Test/output/ /myblog_directory This works without an error and timeout. The question is how to do this with a one liner. In addition I tried: set ssl:verify-certificate/ftp.myblog.com no This trick to disable certificate verification in lftp: $ cat ~/.lftp/rc set ssl:verify-certificate no However, it seems there is no "rc" folder in my lftp directory - so this prompt has no chance to work.

The server which from I want to rewrite requests is another apache server listening on port 80. I can manage it to work well if I don't try to enable SSL connection as the required way to connect. I think it depends on Django and its WSGI handler . Does anybody went trough my same problem? PS: I have already tried to modify the WSGI script .     Hello I have a Mac mini using OS X 10.5.8. Recently I've been having problems that are becoming increasingly severe. Particular symptoms: Firefox "quits" but the dot on the dock remains. If I try shutting down at this point I can't and have to use the power button. I can't start Firefox either. Significantly higher than normal crash rate for CS4 Illustrator Photoshop and Dreamweaver. If Firefox remains open when sleeping the Mac, on waking up firefox is completely unresponsive and must be restarted. Can cause problem 1. Today I lost all my FTP settings for Dreamweaver CS4 Bluetooth switches on when booting despite being switched off. Network password retention is somewhat erractic. Tried running Apple Hardware Test as described in the manual. Cannot access install disk by pressing D at startup. My pen tablet (Bamboo) lost my preferences. Tried unstalling software and now cannot re-install. I've never had problems of this level outside warranty before so I don't know much about debugging Macs. Solutions attempted: Disable bluetooth (see problem 5) Disable time machine Run appple harware test (see problem 7) Tried using activity monitor but don't know which processes are normal Tried uninstalling more recent software. I don't have any idea what to do. It seems like a hard disk failure but I don't have the know how to continue.

    I am seeing a strange issue where my php.ini is not used if I do not explicitly pass it to php-fpm when starting it. This is the upstart script I am using: start on (filesystem and net-device-up IFACE=lo) stop on runlevel [016] pre-start script mkdir -p /run/php end script expect fork respawn exec /usr/local/php/sbin/php-fpm --fpm-config /etc/php/php-fpm.conf If PHP is started with the above, my php.ini is never used, even though it is in Configuration File (php.ini) Path. This is the relevant part from phpinfo(): Configuration File (php.ini) Path /etc/php/ Loaded Configuration File (none) Scan this dir for additional .ini files (none) Additional .ini files parsed (none) If I modify the last line of the upstart script to point php-fpm to php.ini explicitly: exec /usr/local/php/sbin/php-fpm --fpm-config /etc/php/php-fpm.conf -c /etc/php/php.ini Then we see that the php.ini is loaded: Configuration File (php.ini) Path /etc/php/ Loaded Configuration File /etc/php/php.ini Scan this dir for additional .ini files (none) Additional .ini files parsed (none) Why is this the case? Is this a quirk in php-fpm? Minor update: This also seems to be a problem for php5-fpm installed using apt-get. I did a test install in a Ubuntu Server 12.04 virtual machine by running the following: sudo apt-get install nginx php5-fpm PHP-FPM and nginx were started after installation and everything seemed fine. I then uncommented php's settings in nginx's configuration and placed a test phpinfo() file to inspect PHP's settings. The relevant bits are: Configuration File (php.ini) Path /etc/php5/fpm Loaded Configuration File (none) Scan this dir for additional .ini files /etc/php5/fpm/conf.d Additional .ini files parsed /etc/php5/fpm/conf.d/10-pdo.ini I noted that no php.ini was loaded either. However, if I go to /etc/php5/fpm, I can see that a php.ini exists. I also checked the start up scripts for PHP-FPM and the -c parameter was not used to link the ini file to PHP. This can potentially be confusing for people who would expect php.ini to be loaded automatically by PHP-FPM.

And then using dir or tree /F, the content in Unicode won't show as Unicode. (in Window Explorer (file manager), the Unicode will show) Is there a way to handle it? To get Unicode characters to test your filenames, you can go to http://news.google.com/news?edchanged=1&ned=tw and you will be able to get many Unicode characters there (UTF-8)

    Posting from my laptop, as my Compaq desktop crashed. Not very computer saavy, and not sure what info I should provide...but here's a start: 9 year old desktop Compaq SR 1650NX, AMD Athlon 3500+ probably 1 gB ram (duh....) Was running 12.04....was attempting to upgrade to 14.04, not sure if I interrupted it. Pretty much stuck on (constantly redirected to) a page which says "GNU Grub version 1.99-2"; it offers several choices (as written): Ubuntu, with Linux 3.2.0-67-generic Ubuntu, with Linux 3.2.0-67-generic (recovery mode) Previous Linux versions Memory Test (memtest86+) Memory Test (memtest86+, serial console 115200) But none of the selections seem to be able to get me anywhere (i.e., I click yes, but can't seem to run any commands - not that I know anything useful); I escape from those pages by repeatedly hitting CTRL-ALT-DEL Any help would be appreciated; will provide additional info when requested.   • Indefinite hang when restoring SQL 2005 database on a SQL 2008 server in EC2

    I'm trying to restore a 25 GB database backup taken from a Windows 2003/SQL 2005 machine to a Windows 2008/SQL 2008 machine in the Amazon EC2 cloud, using a .bak file and the SQL Management Studio. SQL Management Studio reports the restore reaches 100% complete, and then just hangs indefinitely (24+ hours) using a lot of CPU, until I restart the SQL Server service. Upon restart, SQL again uses a lot of CPU activity for what seems to be an indefinite amount of time, but the DB never comes online. Here are some details: - I have created two EBS volumes, one for DATA and one for LOGS, and I have set the default directories in SQL Server to the \DATA and \LOG directory on these respective volumes. (I wonder if the issue could be related to this, but the DB is too big to restore on the root drive.) - I have given the SQL Server user group full access to these directories. - The server can create a new empty test DB in these directories just fine, and can backup and restore the test DB. - I have tried both restoring of a .bak file and attaching directly to copies of the original .mdf/.ldf files, and the result is the same in both cases. - Both the .bak restore and the .mdf/.ldf attach occur from/to the EBS volumes. - I've also tried the above via SQL script, and "WITH RECOVERY", with no difference in the result, just less UI. - The backup contains two full text indexes. - I have to use "WITH MOVE" for most of the files in the backup. - There's nothing wrong with the backup or .mdf/.ldf files, as this works just fine on a Windows 2003/SQL 2005 machine in the Amazon EC2, but not Windows 2008/SQL 2008. - The DB is NOT marked as "Restoring" in the SQL Management Studio - it is just listed as a normal database, but throws errors when I try to do anything with it (expand the object browser tree, view properties, etc.) Any ideas?

    We have an RHEL5 server that I'm trying to install PHP-Mcrypt on and I'm stuck when I tried to run ./configure for mcrypt source files. I was using this guide: http://atlantatechpro.com/howtos/howtoslinux/howtosmhashmcrypt When I try to install (./configure) mcrypt, I get this checking for libmcrypt - version = 2.5.0... no Could not run libmcrypt test program, checking why... The test program compiled, but did not run. This usually means that the run-time linker is not finding LIBMCRYPT or finding the wrong version of LIBMCRYPT. If it is not finding LIBMCRYPT, you'll need to set your LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable, or edit /etc/ld.so.conf to point to the installed location Also, make sure you have run ldconfig if that is required on your system If you have an old version installed, it is best to remove it, although you may also be able to get things to work by modifying LD_LIBRARY_PATH configure: error: * libmcrypt was not found I also made a file at /etc/ld.so.conf.d/libmcrypt.conf with /usr/local/libmcrypt in it and ran /sbin/ldconfig I might have screwed things up by trying to reinstall libmcrypt without the configure arguments. Any suggestions on what to do now?

    I added a server stanza to my virtual.conf, and now nginx seems to have a problem reloading the config. At this point I don't know what exactly is going wrong or how to debug better.     I have XP Mode installed fine, but the shipped Windows XP installation is too heavy. I tried to install a light XP using my ASUS Eee PC. After installation, I have to install a few missing drivers and everything worked OK except I can't copy and paste between host and guest operating system. I checked Device Manager and found the Virtual PC Integration Device is not installed correctly. I can't find any driver for that. How can I fix this problem?

    I have installed the freenect library from openkinect.org. With that library there is a demo application which you can run from the terminal to test out the Kinect. However when I run this command I get the following output: richard@behemoth:~$ sudo freenect-glview Kinect camera test Number of devices found: 1 Could not claim interface on camera: -6 Could not open device This particular error is thrown by the library libusb by the function libusb_claim_interface and the error -6 corresponds to the LIBUSB_ERROR_BUSY. So my guess is that it has something to do with mounting the usb, rather than specifically the freenect library or the Kinect itself. So my question is how can I find out what resource is using this interface and how can I free it so that I can access it?   • UAC consent.exe doesn't render when remoting

    Im using remoted desktop to access a Win7 machine. when I ctrl+shift click an icon or right click to run it as administrator nothing happens. I see that a new instance of consent.exe is added to the processes in windows task manager but nothing is rendered to approve the execution.
