• getting error as Internal Server error

  Hi There, When I try to run my site it gives error as Internal Server error, when I refresh the page I get my result properly.The error page looks like this: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. I also checked error_log file on my server, it gives error as: [Sat Jun 12 01:21:55 2010] [error] [client 117.195.6.76] File does not exist: /home/rohit25/public_html/test/500.shtml, referer: http://www.test.mysite.com/home.php sometimes error can be; [Sat May 29 19:35:12 2010] [error] [client 97.85.189.208] File does not exist: /home2/carlton/public_html/test/favicon.ico Are there any changes required in configuration file, I also tried to involve this error code in custom error page, it shows error page, which could not resolve this issue. Your urgent help will be greatly appreciated.

• Entity Framework 4 and SQL Compact 4: How to generate database?

  I am developing an app with Entity Framework 4 and SQL Compact 4, using a Model First approach. I have created my EDM, and now I want to generate a SQL Compact 4.0 database to act as a data store for the model. I bring up the Generate Database Wizard and click the New Connection button to create a connection for the generated file. The Choose Data Source dialog appears, but SQL Compact 4.0 is not listed in the list of available data sources: I am running VS 2010 SP1 (beta) and I have installed the VS 2010 Tools for SQL Compact 4.0. I can create a SQL Compact 4.0 data connection from the Server Explorer. It is only in the Generate Database Wizard that the 4.0 option doesn't appear. BTW, my SQL Compact 4.0 installation does include System.Data.SqlServerCe.Entity.dll. So I should have the SQL Compact components I need. Am I doing something incorrectly, or is this a bug? Does anyone have a fix or a workaround? Thanks for your help.

• Are function-local typedefs visible inside C++0x lambdas?

  I've run into a strange problem. The following simplified code reproduces the problem in MSVC 2010 Beta 2: template <typename T> struct dummy { static T foo(void) { return T(); } }; int main(void) { typedef dummy<bool> dummy_type; auto x = [](void){ bool b = dummy_type::foo(); }; // auto x = [](void){ bool b = dummy<bool>::foo(); }; // works } The typedef I created locally in the function doesn't seem to be visible in the lambda. If I replace the typedef with the actual type, it works as expected. Here are some other test cases: // crashes the compiler, credit to Tarydon int main(void) { struct dummy {}; auto x = [](void){ dummy d; }; } // works as expected int main(void) { typedef int integer; auto x = [](void){ integer i = 0; }; } I don't have g++ 4.5 available to test it, right now. Is this some strange rule in C++0x, or just a bug in the compiler? From the results above, I'm leaning towards bug. Though the crash is definitely a bug. For now, I have filed two bug reports. All code snippets above should compile. The error has to do with using the scope resolution on locally defined scopes. (Spotted by dvide.) And the crash bug has to do with... who knows. :) Update According to the bug reports, they have both been fixed for the next release of Visual Studio 2010.

  I have a big problem. I have some applications made on an unix based system, and I use PHP with cURL to post an XML question to an IIS server with asp.net. • Wrong date with ruby Date.today and DateTime.now

  I've installed ruby-1.8.6-p383 with RVM. System ruby is 1.9.1_p378-1 I'm getting the wrong date from Date.today and DateTime.now when using ruby 1.8.. Whereas Time.now is correct: irb(main):002:0> DateTime.now.to_s => "2126--1-10618T11:23:43+00:00" irb(main):004:0> Date.today.to_s => "2126--1-10618" irb(main):005:0> Time.now => Thu Jan 28 11:55:27 +0000 2010 All is well if I switch to ruby 1.9: irb(main):003:0> DateTime.now.to_s => "2010-01-28T11:58:51+00:00" irb(main):004:0> Date.today.to_s => "2010-01-28" irb(main):005:0> Time.now => 2010-01-28 11:59:05 +0000 Any advice on how to get DateTime to work properly in ruby 1.8 would be most appreciated!

• How do i programmatically access the face cache in Windows Live Photo Gallery?

  I'm not talking about the "people tags" embeded in the XMP packets of JPEGs. I'm talking about the face database used to recognize new faces. I want to add to my program the option to recognize faces using the already trained database of WLPG. I managed to use the API (a type library dll) to detect faces, but to recognize them it needs an Exemplar Cache object that is not available in the same API. I could create my own object, but i want to use the already existing one to avoid duplicate training for the user. I know the database is in C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery and that it is in an SQL Server Compact format. I tried to open the database with Visual Studio 2010, but it says that it is in an older version (pre-3.5) and needs to be upgraded. I don't want to change the database, just read it. I don't know how the WPLG reads it since apparently i don't have the correct OLEDB provider version. I would also prefer to read it without accesing the database directly but i don't see any DLL that exports that functionality. BTW, i'm using Delphi 2010. Any ideas?

  I am struggling with time zone support in Rails 3 beta and I would like to know if it is a bug or if I am doing something wrong. The same sequence of commands in rails 2.3.5 works perfectly. Any toughts? Should I report a ticket?

• Unpredictable CCK field name in returned View data

  I'm using views_get_view_result to directly access the data in a view. I've stumbled upon this odd behavior where cck fields are prefixed with the first field name as a query optimization. Explained here. What's bizarre though is that fields are named differently depending on whether I retrieve that data as Anonymous or as Admin. I'm pretty sure all my permissions are set up, and the view itself has no restrictions. What is going on here? This is a big problem since I can't know how to retrieve a field. • Updating section in ConfigParser (or an alternative)

  I am making a plugin for another program and so I am trying to make thing as lightweight as possible. What i need to do is be able to update the name of a section in the ConfigParser's config file. [project name] author:john doe email: [email protected] year: 2010 I then have text fields where user can edit project's name, author, email and year. I don't think changing [project name] is possible, so I have thought of two solutions: 1 -Have my config file like this: [0] projectname: foobar author:john doe email: [email protected] year: 2010 that way i can change project's name just like another option. But the problem is, i would need the section # to be auto incremented. And to do this i would have to get every section, sort of, and figure out what the next number should be. The other option would be to delete the entire section and its value, and re-add it with the updated values which would require a little more work as well, such as passing a variable that holds the old section name through functions, etc, but i wouldn't mind if it's faster. Which of the two is best? or is there another way? I am willing to go with the fastest/lightweight solution possible, doesn't matter if it requires more work or not.

  I took over maintenance of a PHP app recently and I'm not super familiar with PHP but some of the things I've been seeing on the site are making me nervous that it could be vulnerable to a SQL injection attack. When I use that on the command line, I get an administrative user back, but when I try it in the application, I get an invalid username/password error, like I should. Could there be some sort of global PHP configuration they have enabled to block these attacks? Where would that be configured? I know how to decompress it, but the problem here lies in the fact that I cannot separate the Packet from the GZipped data, psuedo-psuedocode (or whatever) on how I do it: Socket sends packet; Socket reads response from server, stores into a ByteArray; Create MemoryStream, use ByteArray; Create GZipStream, use Memorystream; now the problem occurs; I am getting the following Error: System.IO.InvalidDataException The magic number in GZip header is not correct. Make sure you are passing in a GZip stream. I hope the explanation is clear enough __.

• Why is this Java Calendar comparison bad?

  Hello folks. I'm having an inexplicable problem with the Java Calendar class when I'm trying to compare to dates. I'm trying to compare to Calendars and determine if their difference is than 1 day, and do things bases on that difference or not. But it doesn't work. If I do this with the two dates: String currDate = aCurrentUTCCalendar.getTime().toString(); String localDate = aLocalCalendar.getTime().toString(); I get these results: currDate = "Thu Jan 06 05:58:00 MST 2010" localDate = "Tue Jan 05 00:02:00 MST 2010" This is correct. But if I do this: long curr = aCurrentUTCCalendar.getTime().getTime(); long local = aLocalCalendar.getTime().getTime(); I get these results: ( in milliseconds since the epoch ) curr = -125566110120000 local = 1262674920000 Since there is only about a 30 hour different between the two, the magnitudes are vastly different, not to mention that annoying negative sign. This causes problems if I do this: long day = 60 * 60 * 24 * 1000; // 86400000 millis, one day if( local - curr > day ) { // do something } What's wrong? Why are the getTime().toString() calls correct, but the getTime().getTime() calls are vastly different? I'm using jdk 1.6_06 on WinXP. I can't upgrade the JDK for various reasons.

• Trouble parsing self closing XML tags using SAX parser

  Hi, I am having trouble parsing self closing XML tags using SAX. I am trying to extract the link tag from the Google Base API.I am having reasonable success in parsing regular tags. Here is a snippet of the xml <entry> <id>http://www.google.com/base/feeds/snippets/15802191394735287303</id> <published>2010-04-05T11:00:00.000Z</published> <updated>2010-04-24T19:00:07.000Z</updated> <category scheme='http://base.google.com/categories/itemtypes' term='Products'/> <title type='text'>En-el1 Li-ion Battery+charger For Nikon Digital Camera</title> <link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-67261-24966-0/2?ipn=psmain&amp;icep_vectorid=263602&amp;kwid=1&amp;mtid=691&amp;crlp=1_263602&amp;icep_item_id=170468125748&amp;itemid=170468125748'/> . . and so on I can parse the updates and published tags, but not the link and category tag.   Objective: Generate dates based on Week Numbers Input: StartDate, WeekNumber Output: List of dates from the Week number specified till the StartDate i.e. If startdate is 23rd April, 2010 and the week number is 1, then the program should return the dates from 16th April, 2010 till the startddate. The function public List<DateTime> GetDates(DateTime startDate,int weeks) { List<DateTime> dt = new List<DateTime>(); int days = weeks * 7; DateTime endDate = startDate.AddDays(-days); TimeSpan ts = startDate.Subtract(endDate); for (int i = 0; i <= ts.Days; i++) { DateTime dt1 = endDate.AddDays(i); dt.Add(dt1); } return dt; } I am calling this function as DateTime StartDate = DateTime.ParseExact("20100423", "yyyyMMdd", System.Globalization.CultureInfo.InvariantCulture); List<DateTime> dtList = GetDates(StartDate, 1); The program is working fine. Question is using C# 3.0 feature like Linq, Lambda etc. can I rewrite the program. Why? Because I am learning linq and lambda and want to implement the same. • Ajax request not receiving xml from Django

  I have a Django server which handles requests to a URL which will return some HTML for use in an image gallery. I can navigate to the URL and the browser will display the HTML that is returned, but I can't get that same HTML by doing an AJAX call (using jQuery) to the same URL. This is the view that generates the response: def gallery_images(request, gallery_name): return render_to_response('galleryimages.html', {'images': get_images_of_gallery(gallery_name)}, mimetype='text/xml') This is the 'galleryimages.html' template: {% for image in images %} <div id="{{image.name}}big"> <div class="actualImage" style="background-image:url({{image.image.name}});"> <h1>{{image.caption|safe}}</h1> </div> </div> {% endfor %} This is the jQuery call I am making: $("#allImages").load("http://localhost:8000/galleryimages/Web"); However, this loads nothing into my #allImages div. I've used firebug and ran jQuery's Ajax method .get("http://localhost:8000/galleryimages/Web") and firebug says that the response text is completely empty. When I check my Django server log, this is the entry I see for when I navigate to the URL manually, through my browser: [16/Jan/2010 17:34:10] "GET /galleryimages/Web HTTP/1.1" 200 215 This is the entry in the server log for when I make the AJAX call: [16/Jan/2010 17:36:19] "OPTIONS /galleryimages/Web HTTP/1.1" 200 215 Why does the AJAX request not get the xml that my Django page is serving?

  Hello! I'm stuck with a problem how to check if a specific date is within allowed weekdays array in php. The returned string from database can be "null", so i check it too. Them, the isDate function checks whether date is a date and it is ok. I want to check if my date, for example 21.05.2010 is an allowed weekday in this array. My function always returns TRUE and somehow weekday is always 'Thursday' and i don't know why... Is there any other ways to check this or what can be my error in the code above? thx
