    Hi Thanks for the help Yesterday, but I have on more question. How can I change color of text on certain words? My animation plays the text animation of THIS SALE IS RED HOT!!! I want RED HOT it to be red. It seems the array can be indexed in such a way to switch the color from Blue to Red.   • Shaping EF LINQ Query Results Using Multi-Table Includes

    I have a simple LINQ EF query below using the method syntax. I'm using my Include statement to join four tables: Event and Doc are the two main tables, EventDoc is a many-to-many link table, and DocUsage is a lookup table. My challenge is that I'd like to shape my results by only selecting specific columns from each of the four tables. But, the compiler is giving a compiler is giving me the following error: 'System.Data.Objects.DataClasses.EntityCollection does not contain a definition for "Doc' and no extension method 'Doc' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Data.Objects.DataClasses.EntityCollection' could be found. I'm sure this is something easy but I'm not figuring it out. I haven't been able to find an example of someone using the multi-table include but also shaping the projection.   • Using complex where clause in NHibernate mapping layer

    I've used where clauses previously in the mapping layer to prevent certain records from ever getting into my application at the lowest level possible. (Mainly to prevent having to re-write lots of lines of code to filter out the unwanted records) These have been simple, one column queries, like so this.Where("Invisible = 0"); However a scenario has appeared which requires the use of an exists sql query. exists (select ep_.Id from [Warehouse].[dbo].EventPart ep_ where Id = ep_.EventId and ep_.DataType = 4 In the above case I would usually reference the parent table Event with a short name, i.e. event_.Id however as Nhibernate generates these short names dynamically it's impossible to know what it's going to be. So instead I tried using just Id, from above ep_ where Id = ep_.EventId When the code is run, because of the dynamic short names the EventPart table short name ep_ is has another short name prefixed to it, event0_.ep_ where event0_ refers to the parent table. This causes an SQL error because of the . in between event0_ and ep_ So in my EventMap I have the following this.Where("(exists (select ep_.Id from [isnapshot.Warehouse].[dbo].EventPart ep_ where Id = ep_.EventId and ep_.DataType = 4)"); but when it's generated it creates this select cast(count(*) as INT) as col_0_0_ from [isnapshot.Warehouse].[dbo].Event event0_ where (exists (select ep_.Id from [isnapshot.Warehouse].[dbo].EventPart event0_.ep_ where event0_.Id = ep_.EventId and ep_.DataType = 4) It has correctly added the event0_ to the Id Was the mapping layer where clause built to handle this and if so where am I going wrong?

  • How can I bind multiple Jquery UI Slider with "year" Select?

    Hi, I'm trying to render sliders instead of select components. Each page has several select components marked with class='jqselect' and all of them will have decreasing year values (some years may be missing). Eg. a select may have values [2010, 2009, 2006, 2005, 2004]. I have tried binding it both following the examples in the jQuery UI doc (but ignoring the missing years) and using selectToUISlider by filamentgroup (http://www.filamentgroup.com/lab/update_jquery_ui_slider_from_a_select_element_now_with_aria_support//). None of them work. Here is what I've done so far: Binding selects with following slider container divs: $('#content div.jqslider').slider({ animate: true, min: $(this).prev().children().last().val(), max: $(this).prev().children().first().val(), slide: function(event, ui) { var select = $(this).prev(); select.val($(this).slider('option', 'value')); console.log($(this).slider('option', 'value')); //debug } }); This renders the slider, but console logs values from 0 to 100 and selects obviously does not change with the event. Using selectToUISlider: $('#content select.jqselect').selectToUISlider(); This does not even render the slider, throwing an error 'b is undefined' in jquery-min.js (line 30, v1.4.2).     I need to write a firefox extension that creates a server socket (I think that's what it's called) and returns the browser's current url when a client application (running on the same computer) sends it a request. The thing is that I have no Java/Javascript background at all and I'm pressed for time so I am trying to hack something together from code samples. So far I've been mildly successful. Ideally I would like the output to be returned as a response when the client sends a request to the server socket with a passphrase. How do I go about doing that? Is doing this a good idea? Does it create security vulnerabilities on the computer? How can I block connections to the socket from other computers? What is a good place to read about javascript sockets? My google searches have been pretty fruitless but then maybe I'm not using the right keywords.

(The background panel for example) The user minimizes the application. The JPopupMenu has this behavior, but I need more than just JMenuItems.   • Magento: How do I get observers to work in an external script?

    As far as I can tell, when a script is run outside of Magento, observers are not invoked when an event is fired. Why? How do I fix it? Below is the original issue that lead me to this question. The issue is that the observer that would apply the catalog rule is never called. The event fires, but the observer doesn't pick it up. I'm running an external script that loads up a Magento session. Within that script, I'm loading products and grabbing a bunch of properties. The one issue is that getFinalPrice() does not apply the catalog rules that apply to the product. I'm doing everything I know to set the session, even a bunch of stuff that I think is superfluous. Nothing seems to get these rules applied.   • How do I properly register the Type Library of A VB.NET COM+ Component?

    I am looking to upgrade legacy VB6 COM+ components to VB.NET components. I have seemingly upgraded one already, called EventPackage, which has one class, IEventListener. Another, TradeOrders, Implements EventPackage.IEventListener. When attempting to build TradeOrders, I get the following Errors/Warnings; Cannot load type library for reference "EventPackage". Library not registered. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8002801D (TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED)) The referenced component 'EventPackage' could not be found. Type 'EventPackage.IEventListener' is not defined. In the .vbproj, I notice this reference <COMReference Include="EventPackage"> <Guid>{0D76C094-21A6-4E04-802B-6E539F7102D7}</Guid> <Lcid>0</Lcid> <VersionMajor>2</VersionMajor> <VersionMinor>0</VersionMinor> <WrapperTool>tlbimp</WrapperTool> </COMReference> When I search the registry for this Guid, I find nothing. When using GUIDs for similar COM+ objects, I find them in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{...}\TypeLib ("..." being the GUID of the other component). When I go to the registry key name corresponding to EventPackage.IEventListener, I find that there is no \TypeLib subkey. As you might suspect, searching the reg for "0D76C094-21A6-4E04-802B-6E539F7102D7" yields no results. So I know this must be a registry problem, But I have tried seemingly every google result I have found. I have tried Regasm and regsvcs .exe's to no avail. Many pages just tell me that dragging the dll to the COM+ manager should automatically register the component. So how do I register the Type library? Details on how I made EventPackage COM+ component Ran the VB6-VB.NET wizard Then I added some lines to the assemblyinfo.vb file added Imports System.EnterpriseServices added Imports System.EnterpriseServices Imports System.Data.SqlClient <Assembly: CLSCompliant(True)> <Assembly: AssemblyKeyFileAttribute("...")> for a strong name <Assembly: Guid("...")> (Where "..." is the COM+ CLSID of the old component) I added the following to the class file IEventListener.VB Imports System.EnterpriseServices <ComClass("...")> _ (Where ... is the proper COM+ CLSID, that is the only argument) Inherits ServicedComponent changed the ID made by the Conversion wizard to the proper value (from <System.Runtime.InteropServices.ProgId("IEventListener_NET.IEventListener)> to <System.Runtime.InteropServices.ProgId("EventPackage.IEventListener")> _ Then I dragged the DLL into the COM+ manager in the proper COM+ application (although, the "Path" is not specified and only says mscoree.dll)

    My application uses multiple windows I want to hide one specific window in case the application loses focus (when the Active Window is not the application window) source I am handling the Deactivate event of my main form. private void MainForm_Deactivate(object sender, EventArgs e) { Console.WriteLine("deactivate"); if (GetActiveWindow() == this.Handle) { Console.WriteLine("isactive=true"); } else { Console.WriteLine("isactive=false"); } } [DllImport("user32.dll")] static extern IntPtr GetActiveWindow(); The output is always deactivate isactive=true I have observed the same behavior if a new window within my application receives focus and also if I click into a different application. I would expect GetActiveWindow to return the handle of the new active window when called from the Deactivate handler. Instead it always returns the handle of my application window. How is this possible? Is the Deactivate event handled "too soon"? (while the main form is still active?). How can I detect that my application has lost focus (my application window is not the active window) and another application gained it without running GetActiveWindow on a timer?

  • In ActionScript, is there a way to test for existence of variable with datatype "Function"

    So I have a class where I instantiate a variable callback like so: public var callback:Function; So far so good. Now, I want to add an event listener to this class and test for existence of the callback. I'm doing like so: this.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, function(event:MouseEvent) : void { if (callback) { // do some things } }); This works great, doesn't throw any errors, but everywhere I test for callback I get the following warning: 3553: Function value used where type Boolean was expected. Possibly the parentheses () are missing after this function reference. That bugged me, so I tried to get rid of the warning by testing for null and undefined. Those caused errors. I can't instantiate a Function as null, either. I know, I know, real programmers only care about errors, not warnings. I will survive if this situation is not resolved. But it bothers me! :) Am I just being neurotic, or is there actually some way to test whether a real Function has been created without the IDE bitching about it?

    i have a problem with a http post call in firefox. I know that when there are a cross origin, firefox first do a OPTIONS before the POST to know the access-control-allow headers. With this code i dont have any problem: Net.requestSpeech.prototype.post = function(url, data) { if(this.xhr != null) { this.xhr.open("POST", url); this.xhr.onreadystatechange = Net.requestSpeech.eventFunction; this.xhr.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "application/json; charset=utf-8"); this.xhr.send(data); } } I test this code with a simple html that invokes this function. Everything is ok and i have the response of the OPTIONS and POST, and i process the response. But, i'm trying to integrate this code with an existen application with uses jquery (i dont know if this is a problem), when the send(data) executes in this case, the browser (firefox) do the same, first do a OPTION request, but in this case dont receive the response of the server and puts this message in console: [18:48:13.529] OPTIONS http://localhost:8111/ [undefined 31ms] Undefined... the undefined is because dont receive the response, but the code is the same, i dont know why in this case the option dont receive the response, someone have an idea? i debug my server app and the OPTIONS arrive ok to the server, but it seems like the browser dont wait to the response. edit more later: ok i think that the problem is when i run with a simple html with a SCRIPT tag that invokes the method who do the request run ok, but in this app that dont receive the response, i have a form that do a onsubmit event, i think that the submit event returns very fast and the browser dont have time to get the OPTIONS request. edit more later later: WTF, i resolve the problem make the POST request to sync: this.xhr.open("POST", url, false); The submit reponse very quickly and can't wait to the OPTION response of the browser, any idea to this?

    Ok so I am very new to html and the web. Right now I am trying to generate list items on the fly and then have them post back to the web server so I know what the person is trying to obtain. Btw, the code running behind is C#. I hope it is clear what I am trying to do here. Here is some sample data: private function _-0iX(arg1:flash.events.Event):void { if (arg1.type == flash.events.Event.RESIZE) { if (this._-2GU) { this._-yu(this._-2GU); } } return; } The next characters could be ;, (, ), dot, comma, space, :, etc.

    I'm trying to get several informations from google calendar's API in JAVA. While trying to access to informations about the time of an event I got a problem. This seems strange to me since for a calendar event it should always exist a description of when it should happen... what am I missing??

    This is driving me crazy. All I'm trying to do is to pass in a Id to a ActionMethod which is working and have an Object be returned to the javascript. Then in javascript, I want to be able to say something like..Objec.Property, ie/ Student.Name, or Student.GPA. Any help is appreciated. I tried json but couldn't get that to work either.   • NVelocity (or Velocity) as a stand-alone formula evaluator

    I am using NVelocity in my application to generate html emails. My application has an event-driven model, where saving and/or updating of objects causes these emails to be sent out. Each event can trigger zero, one or multiple multiple emails. I want to be able to configure which emails get sent out at run-time without having to modify code. I was thinking I could leverage the NVelocity #if() directive to do this. Here is my idea... Step 1) Prior to email sending, the administrator must configure a formula for NVelocity to evaluate. For example: $User.FirstName == "Jack" Step 2) When an object is saved or created, build an NVelocity template in memory based on the input formula. For example: String formula = GetFormulaFromDB(); // $User.FirstName == "Jack" String templ = "#if( " + formula + ") 1 #else 0 #end"; Step 3) Execute the NVelocity engine in memory against the template. Check the results to see if we have to send the email: String result = VelocityMerge(templ); // utility function if( result.Trim() == "1" ) { SendEmail(); } I know this is not exactly what NVelocity was intended to do, but I think it just might work :) One of the benefits of doing things this way is that the same syntax can be used for the formula as is used inside the template. Does anybody have any words of caution or suggestions? Is there a way to execute the #if() directive without jumping through hoops like I have above? Is there a recommended way to validate the formula syntax ahead of time? Thanks.
