  • Javascript Mp3 Player, NONE FLASH

    I currently have a simple flash Mp3 player on my site which works lovely. The issue is, most cell phones do not support flash and a large portion of my visitors come through via a mobile device. The alternative to this is to replace the flash player with a javascript player. I found a JQuery one but it only works on HTML5 compatible browsers. Does anyone know of a good alternative that would work on mobile devices as well as most desktop web browsers?

    Hello, I'm wondering if variable length lookbehind assertions are supported in JavaScript's RegExp engine? For example, I'm trying to match the string "variable length" in the string "[a lot of whitespaces and/or tabs]variable length lookbehind", and I have something like this but it does not go well in various RegExp testers: ^(?<=[ \t]+).+(?= lookbehind) If it's an illegal pattern, what would be a good workaround to it?   • Can I automate the finding of -l parameter I use when linking based on header files (gcc)?

    Normally when linking against a static library, I have to specify a library directory and the name of a libX.so (or its symbolic link) as -lX flag for linking [and its directory with -L flag]. Can I automate this based on my header files (in c/c++) only? Or maybe it is not a good idea? Is there a software for locating the -L and -l parameters automatically? Is some table stored somewhere on the system about this on popular linux systems or even cygwin?

    Does anybody know of a good way to replicate Photoshop's multiply layer mode using either an image or CSS? I'm working on a project that has thumbnails that get a color overlay when you hover over them, but the designer used a layer set to multiply and I can't figure out how to produce it on the web. The best thing I've come up with is either using rgba or a transparent png, but even then it doesn't look right.

    Some time ago (~4-5months ago) I attented a lecture about JEE and at some point the lecturer started talking about webservices and how hard it is to create a good one because all the IDEs make them in a bit different way (or something like that) and that in general it's better to use Netbeans to create them as Eclipse has some issues, the thing is he didn't really say why Eclipse is bad. Now I'm wondering is what he said true and why, is it really better to use Netbeans for webservices and why?

Is there a reliable way of determining that without asking them assuming that I can visit the website in question in my browser?
