• Form submits correctly in Chrome/FF, but fails altogether in IE/Safari

  I have a form with a css submit button. When a the submit button is clicked, i call a function that executes: document.forms["request"].onsubmit(); What should happen, then, is that the onsubmit method ought to be triggered. This works properly in Chrome/FF, but for some reason IE/Safari will bypass the onsubmit function and simply add the parameter "address=" onto the url as if it were submitting the form and ignoring the onsubmit function. • Menu floating to the right on IE and to the left in FF

  I am working on a website that has a menu which behaves correctly on FF but not on IE (as usuall). On IE it floats to the right while it should float to the left, however if float is set to none it behaves almost correctly, attaching the onto the top of the container. • Jquery fadeOut looking different in FF than in Chrome/Safari

  Hey all, i have a page that when a user desides to delete a company, it fades out using the jquery fadeOut() command. This works great and does as it should in FireFox but for some reason it doesn't do the same in Chrome/Safari browsers. The problem is that i have a png image overlay on top of the company logo image that also fades out with the company logo. But if there are more than one company logo on the page, it moves the others in the place where the one got deleted. Like i said, it works fine (and as it should) in Firefox and even IE (SHOCK!) but not in Chrome or Safari. Once the user selects a record, the JavaScript pulls the packed data apart and populates the other data elements on the FORM. It all works wonderfully in IE, but in FF the fields do not populate with data.   Hi, I cannot manage to run keepalived correctly on xen domU. I am following this link for configuration, and it works great on some local VM (running with KVM). • Computer won't reboot without waiting for a while

  I've got an unusual problem with my computer. When ever I reboot my computer it won't boot, I get a few beeps from the BIOS and nothing else, however if I wait for a few minuets the computer will boot perfectly. I tried to count the beeps and I get around 7-9 of them; the first two are noticeably closer together than the rest. [Edit: I'm now reasonably confident it's 1 long followed by 8 short beeps.   I have a few Umbraco sites running on my server - but i'm getting logged out when using everything else than Firefox when using umbraco. I'm able to log in and after 10-15 sec's i'm being automatically logged out again. How can that be and how do i fix it? :( It's a win 2008 server using MSSQL database and umbraco 4.0.3 btw is running on integrated app pool and .net version 2.0.50727

  Hello everybody, While I'm using this site quite often as a resource for jQuery related problems I can't seem to find an answer this time. So here is my first post. During daytime at work I'm developing an informationsystem for generating MS Word documents. One of the modules I'm developing is for defining a default chapterselection for the table of contents and selecting texts by the given chapters. A user can submit new chapters and if necessary, add them as childchapter to a parent, flag them as 'adopt in TOC' and link a default text (from another module) to the chapter. My chapterlist is retreived recursively from a MySQL table and could look something like this: <ul class="sortableChapterlist"> <li>1</li> <li>2 <ul class="sortableChapterlist"> <li>2.1</li> <li>2.2</li> <li>2.3 <ul class="sortableChapterlist"> <li>2.3.1</li> <li>2.3.2</li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> </ul> In FireFox the code works like a charm but IE (7) doesn't seem to like it that much. I'm only able to correctly drag arround the mainchapters. When attempting to drag a subchapter, no matter it's level, the correspondending mainchapter lifts up with some child, never all. This is the jQuery code I'm using to accomplish the task: $(function(){ $(".sortableChapterlist").sortable({ opacity: 0.7, helper: 'clone', cursor: 'move' }); $(".sortableChapterlist").selectable(); $(".sortableChapterlist").disableSelection(); }); Does anybody have some ideas about this? • GWT FormPanel not submitting in IE - works fine on FF, Chrome, Safari

  I am using a simple FormPanel in GWT (com.google.gwt.user.client.ui.FormPanel). Once setting the action for the form, in Firefox, Safari, Chrome the submit method works fine while in IE (8) nothing happens when submit is called (I am submitting a form to paypal, not that it matters). I am on GWT 2.0. Is this some kind of known problem? Been looking around but couldn't find anything on the subject. Any help appreciated!

• XHR FF POST size limit

  Hi, My XHR POST REQUEST is cut off. When I try to reload my page information is missing. Firebugs sends following message: ... Firebug request size limit has been reached by Firebug. ... My question is: What are my options? Would it work if I declare the content.length in the header? I added a line to my apache config file and restarted it: LimitRequestBody 0 I increased the size of transfer files in mysql config file Or it is a browser issue? The only solution I could think of was to cut the data in pieces and transmit the array one by one but I don't like this idea. The content length is 91691 according to firebug. Any suggestions?

• XMLHttpRequest error in IE, works without issue in Chrome/FF

I've been doing plenty of searches to try and find what may be the issue, but by all accounts ive read, the code ive posted above should work. i havent used jquery for AJAX, but ive seen it recommended when others have had issues with httprequest objects. could i just replace the mess above with a couple lines of jquery and assume that it will take care of IE's ugliness?   For fun I'm trying to write a very simple server in C. When I send this response to Firefox it prints out the body "hello, world" but with Chromium it gives me a Error 100 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED): Unknown error.
