Off the top of my head I can think of a few features I'd like to see: USB interface Not too expensive (I don't know 100-200 dollars?) Is there a free solution out there? One that has easily modifiable templates and isn't too tedious to add hundreds of pictures for sale? • How to verify a digital signature with openssl

  I'm using a thirdparty credit card processing service (Paybox) that, after a successful transaction, redirects back to the website with a signature in the URL as a security measure to prevent people from manipulating data. It's supposed to prove that the request originated from this service. So my success URL looks something like this: /success.php?signature=[HUGE HASH] I have no idea where to start with verifying this signature. This service does provide a public key, and I assume I need to create a private key, but I don't know much beyond that. I'm pretty good with linux, and I know I'll have to run some openssl commands. I'm writing the verification script in PHP, which also has native openssl() functions. If anyone could please push me in the right direction with some pseudo code, or even functional code, I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

• How to create digital signature that can not be used to reproduce the message twice

  I am creating a client-server application and I'd like to send data from server to client securely. Using public/private key algorithms makes sense and in PHP we can use openssl_sign and openssl_verify functions to check that the data came by someone who has the private key. Now imagine that one of the actions sent by server to client is destructive in nature. If somebody uses an HTTP sniffer to catch this command (which will be signed properly) how can I further protect the communication to ensure that only commands coming from our server get processed by the client? I was thinking about using current UTC time as part of the encrypted data but client time might be off. Is there a simple solution to the problem?

• facebook photo album grouping photos in news feed

  We have a social media "platform" - when we schedule photos to be published to Facebook, if a user schedules photos - they all go into the same album, as they schedule photos throughout the day - the photos become grouped and do not appear as a large photo - but rather a bunch of photos in a album. Is there any way to prevent photos from being grouped in the new feed and it just showing the newest uploaded photo in stream? I do not see an option.

I'm trying this: $photos = $facebook->api('https://graph.facebook.com/'.$profileFID.'/photos?access_token='.$access_token); print_r($photos); I'm sure the URL is correct since pasting it in the browser shows the photos array. However when I try to print the array to check if I got it I get only this: ( [id] => https://graph.facebook.com/1409006586/photos ) How can I get the full array with the user photos?

  Como el acceso a la documentación está restringido, sólo voy a comentar por encima algunos temas o planteamientos que me han llamado la atención del VI Foro Hospital Digital 2011, organizado por iiR. Y comienzo destacando la buena moderación de Maribel Grau del Hospital Clínic de Barcelona que estuvo sobria, eficaz y motivadora del debate. Me impresionó el proyecto Hospital Líquido del Hospital San Joan de Deu de Barcelona por el compromiso corporativo con una medicina colaborativa involucrando a los pacientes y a los profesionales, con unas iniciativas de eSalud y Salud2.0 avanzadas y apoyadas en un buen soporte legal, tecnológico, de los profesionales y con procesos bien definidos. Es un tema corporativo y no una prueba, como bien explicó Jorge Juan Fernández y detalló después Júlia Cutillas, cuyo rol, por cierto, es de Community Manager. En el debate salió el tema del retorno de la inversión y ese es un tema inmaduro, ya que es difícil de encontrar métricas adecuadas, pero no dudan de su continuidad ya que forma parte de una estrategia corporativa, en la que siempre hay elementos que forman parte de los costes generales y que se consideran necesarios para prestar el nivel de servicio que se desea ofrecer. Cecilia Pérez desde su posición como Jefe de Implantación de HCE en el Hospital de Móstoles hizo énfasis en la importancia de la gestión efectiva del cambio cuando se implanta un sistema de historia clínica electrónica que pasa por una inicial negación de los usarios al cambio, que luego presentan una resistencia al prinicipio para luego empezar a explorar posibilidades y llegar a un compromiso con el cambio. Santiago Borrás, Jefe de Sistemas del Hospital del Henares, partió de un hospital digital, pero eso no es más que el comienzo. Tras tres años la frustración de los profesionales es no perderse entre demasiada información. La etapa necesaria tras la digitalición es la generación y compartición del cononocimiento. Cristina Ibarrola, Directora de Atención Primaria del SNS-O comentó la experiencia de las interconsultas primaria-especializada que reducen la carga asistencial en primaria al aumentar la resolución. Hay una reserva de tiempos específicos en las agendas de los profesionales de ambos lados para garantizar una respuesta en un máximo de 48 horas. Eso ha llevado a una flexibiliazación de la agenda de los médicos de primaria que tienen un 25% más de tiempo para las consultas presenciales. Parece que aquí la opción tomada es dar más tiempo por paciente en vez de más pacientes, supongo que en parte porque la presión asistencial en Navarra tengo entendido que no es tan fuerte como en otras zonas. Alejandra Cubero comentó la experiencia de identificación de pacientes y de inteoperabilidad en Hospitales de Madrid. Ana Rosa Pulido presentó los logros del SES y su proyecto actual de Imagen Médica No Radiológica. Richard Bernat explicó la experiencia de HCE de Salud de la Mujer Dexeus, indicando que si bien no hay métricas del retorno de la inversión, sí hay una percepción del valor por las diferentes direcciones. Arturo Quesada glosó la experiencia de Jimena en el Hospital de Ávila, Joan Chafer desgranó el arduo proceso de introducción de sucesivas soluciones digitales en el Hospital Clínico San Carlos de Madrid comenzando por “Hogar Digital”, todo ello con financiación externa o recursos propios y cerró el turno de intervenciones no comerciales Pedro A.   Since the price of many dedicated hardware Digital Media Extenders is only slightly lower than that of a cheap laptop, is there any reason you couldn't use a laptop as a Digital Media Extender? I'm looking for specific reasons that might make this unworkable. For instance, would the small screen/low-power video card of the laptop prevent the movie from playing well on the TV?

• Star Trail Photos Taken from the International Space Station

  While most people have seen a star trail photo or two, seeing a set of star trail photos taken from over 300 miles above the Earth’s surface is a treat. Courtesy of Astronaut and Expedition 31 Flight Engineer Don Pettit, the photos capture star trails from the vantage point of the International Space Station. He explains his technique: My star trail images are made by taking a time exposure of about 10 to 15 minutes. However, with modern digital cameras, 30 seconds is about the longest exposure possible, due to electronic detector noise effectively snowing out the image. To achieve the longer exposures I do what many amateur astronomers do. I take multiple 30-second exposures, then ‘stack’ them using imaging software, thus producing the longer exposure.   Does somebody know, how this is supposed to be implemented correctly? In my local business full page, I have a carousel with several images, so what I did is that on the container of this carousel i have written the following: "itemprop='photos' itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/ImageObject"", i.e. <div class="tourism-product-media-gallery" itemprop='photos' itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/ImageObject"> and then on each and every image i have written the following: "itemprop="contentURL"", i.e. <img src="@mediaItem.NormalImage" alt="@mediaItemCaption" itemprop="contentURL"/> But i am not convinced that this is the way it should be. Here is some good news – Instagram now officially allows you to embed public photos & videos on web through a simple IFrame snippet. When viewing an Instagram photo or video through the web interface, you can get embed snippet by clicking on the new “share” button . Here is a screen grab of new share button You can tweak the embed script to adjust height and width of the image but there are no options to remove link back to the Instagram website. • Store HighRes photos in Database or as File?

  I run a site which has a couple of million photos and gets over 1000 photos uploaded each day. Up to now, we haven't kept the original file that was uploaded to conserve on space. However, we are getting to a point that we are starting to see a need to have high-res original versions. I was wondering if its better to store these in the filesystem as an actual file or if its better to store them in a database (ie: mysql). The highres images would be rarely referenced but may be used when someone decides to download it or we decide to use it for rare processes like making a new set of thumbnails sizes/etc.

• Getting photos and music on/off samsung/google galaxy nexus (ice cream sandwich) phone

  I am having trouble to access the filesystem on my phone. It just worked in previous version of Ubuntu, but now it appears empty whether it is mounted with MTP or PTP. I have followed a few guides on building and reinstalling libmtp etc without success. This answer did not help for me, either, and gMTP just hangs when I click the connect button. I know I can use wifi e.g. airdroid to access my photos, but this is too slow and a bit clumsy for me, and downloaded photos lose their original timestamps. Has anyone had success connecting to this phone on 12.04 ??

  I have a photo website. 15% of the photos belong to approved registered users. They agree my terms about uploading their images in my web pages. I include a photographer credit on right bottom corner. About identifying the site with google, every page contains a google+ button to MY google+ page it also contains <link href="https://plus.google.com/nnnnnnnnnn/" rel="publisher" /> I need some advice in order to respect google rules about my pages containing other photographers images not to be penalized because of possible duplicated or interpreted as stolen content. My concern is also about adding G+ links (to MY photo page) and Google publisher id would harm my site rank because of pages containing third-party photos.

• how do I upload photos from shotwell?

  I only started using Ubuntu a couple months ago. I've been able to get pictures from my camera onto the machine. The system is very different for me and I'm trying to work it out on my own, but I have a homework assignment that requires me to upload JPG files of photos I take and I'm having a problem. When I click the button on the page to choose a file, I go into the different photo files and nothing shows up, but the screen where files would be turns a very faint orange, just a tint. I've tried putting the named photos on my desktop, but the upload screen doesn't recognize it at all. How can I use this software to upload my pictures? Thanks.

• Photo managing software that supports network drives?

  My dad is a photographer in his free time, and he's been using Lightroom to manage his photos. However, recently, we put all of our photos on a NAS drive to allow us to access them from any computer at any time. The problem with this is that Lightroom cannot load catalogs from network drives. We need support for network drives because we'd like to be able to browse the photos from any computer, and for any computer to be able to add photos to the collection. Right now we're just syncing the Lightroom catalog file between us, but the extra step is a pain, and doing it manually makes it error-prone. Is there any software (free or commercial) that has proper support for network drives? The only real feature I need is to be able to sort photos by date and by some sort of tags. I don't need any editing features like those found in Lightroom; my dad is comfortable using Photoshop to edit photos. Also, if there is another solution to this that I haven't thought of, feel free to share.
