• Incorrect Internal DNS Resolution

    - by user167016
    I'm having a DNS issue. Server 2008 R2. The first clue was that after being off the network for a month, I could no longer Remote Desktop into my workstation by name, it wouldn't find it. Both via VPN and internally. But if I connect using its IP, that works. Now I notice in the server's Share and Storage Management, in Manage Sessions, it's displaying the incorrect computer name for some users. So I try, for one example: Ping -a 192.168.16.81 Pinging BOBS_COMPUTER.ourdomain.local [192.168.16.81] with 32 bytes of data: - replies all successful Then I try Ping RICHARDS_COMPUTER Pinging RICHARDS_COMPUTER.ourdomain.local [192.168.16.81] with 32 bytes of data: -all replies successful In DHCP, .81 belongs to RICHARDS_COMPUTER I did try flushdns. Not sure if this is related, apologies if it's not, but when I try to connect, I also get prompted: "The identity of the remote computer cannot be verified. Do you want to connect anyway? The remote computer could not be authenticated due to problems with its security certificate. It may be unsafe to proceed.." It then lists the correct name as the name in the certificate from the remote computer, but claims that the certificate is not from a trusted authority. Any thoughts are most appreciated!

  • a program similar to ls with some modifications

    - by Bond
    Hi, here is a simple puzzle I wanted to discuss. A C program to take directory name as command line argument and print last 3 directories and 3 files in all subdirectories without using api 'system' inside it. suppose directory bond0 contains bond1, di2, bond3, bond4, bond5 and my_file1, my_file2, my_file3, my_file4, my_file5, my_file6 and bond1 contains bond6 my_file7 my_file8 my_file9 my_file10 program should output - bond3, bond4, bond5, my_file4, my_file5, my_file6, bond6, my_file8, my_file9, my_file10 My code for the above problem is here #include<dirent.h> #include<unistd.h> #include<string.h> #include<sys/stat.h> #include<stdlib.h> #include<stdio.h> char *directs[20], *files[20]; int i = 0; int j = 0; int count = 0; void printdir(char *); int count_dirs(char *); int count_files(char *); int main() { char startdir[20]; printf("Scanning user directories
"); scanf("%s", startdir); printdir(startdir); } void printdir(char *dir) { printf("printdir called %d directory is %s
", ++count, dir); DIR *dp = opendir(dir); int nDirs, nFiles, nD, nF; nDirs = 0; nFiles = 0; nD = 0; nF = 0; if (dp) { struct dirent *entry = 0; struct stat statBuf; nDirs = count_dirs(dir); nFiles = count_files(dir); printf("The no of subdirectories in %s is %d
", dir, nDirs); printf("The no of files in %s is %d
", dir, nFiles); while ((entry = readdir(dp)) != 0) { if (strcmp(entry->d_name, ".") == 0 || strcmp(entry->d_name, "..") == 0) { continue; } char *filepath = malloc(strlen(dir) + strlen(entry->d_name) + 2); if (filepath) { sprintf(filepath, "%s/%s", dir, entry->d_name); if (lstat(filepath, &statBuf) != 0) { } if (S_ISDIR(statBuf.st_mode)) { nD++; if ((nDirs - nD) < 3) { printf("The directory is %s
",entry->d_name); } } else { nF++; if ((nFiles - nF) < 3) { printf("The files are %s
", entry->d_name); } //if } //else free(filepath); } //if(filepath) } //while while ((entry = readdir(dp)) != 0) { if (strcmp(entry->d_name, ".") == 0 || strcmp(entry->d_name, "..") == 0) { continue; } printf("In second while loop *entry=%s
",entry->d_name); char *filepath = malloc(strlen(dir) + strlen(entry->d_name) + 2); if (filepath) { sprintf(filepath, "%s/%s", dir, entry->d_name); if (lstat(filepath, &statBuf) != 0) { } if (S_ISDIR(statBuf.st_mode)) { printdir(entry->d_name); } } //else free(filepath); } //2nd while closedir(dp); } else { fprintf(stderr, "Error, cannot open directory %s
", dir); } } //printdir int count_dirs(char *dir) { DIR *dp = opendir(dir); int nD; nD = 0; if (dp) { struct dirent *entry = 0; struct stat statBuf; while ((entry = readdir(dp)) != 0) { if (strcmp(entry->d_name, ".") == 0 || strcmp(entry->d_name, "..") == 0) { continue; } char *filepath = malloc(strlen(dir) + strlen(entry->d_name) + 2); if (filepath) { sprintf(filepath, "%s/%s", dir, entry->d_name); if (lstat(filepath, &statBuf) != 0) { fprintf(stderr, "File Not found? %s
", filepath); } if (S_ISDIR(statBuf.st_mode)) { nD++; } else { continue; } free(filepath); } } closedir(dp); } else { fprintf(stderr, "Error, cannot open directory %s
", dir); } return nD; } int count_files(char *dir) { DIR *dp = opendir(dir); int nF; nF = 0; if (dp) { struct dirent *entry = 0; struct stat statBuf; while ((entry = readdir(dp)) != 0) { if (strcmp(entry->d_name, ".") == 0 || strcmp(entry->d_name, "..") == 0) { continue; } char *filepath = malloc(strlen(dir) + strlen(entry->d_name) + 2); if (filepath) { sprintf(filepath, "%s/%s", dir, entry->d_name); if (lstat(filepath, &statBuf) != 0) { fprintf(stderr, "File Not found? %s
", filepath); } if (S_ISDIR(statBuf.st_mode)) { continue; } else { nF++; } free(filepath); } } closedir(dp); } else { fprintf(stderr, "Error, cannot open file %s
", dir); } return nF; } The above code I wrote is a bit not functioning correctly can some one help me to understand the error which is coming.So that I improve it further.There seems to be some small glitch which is not clear to me right now.

  • cannot send mail to postfix /w iptables linux proxy

    - by Juzzam
    I have two separate servers, both running Ubuntu 8.04. Server 1 has the real domain name of our site, let's refer to it as example.com. Server 2 is a mail server I have setup with postfix/courier. The hostname for this server is mail.example.com. I've setup iptables on Server 1 to forward all traffic on port 25 to Server 2. I used this script (except I changed the target ip address and the port from 80 to 25). When I send an email to [email protected] it works. However, when I try to send an email to [email protected] from gmail, I get this error: 550 550 #5.1.0 Address rejected [email protected] (state 14) /var/log/mail.log shows no new lines when this happens. What is strange is that it works with telnet from my local machine. (The good news, such as it is, is that AFAIK I'm not experiencing any actual issues... but maybe I am; tough to tell.) Thanks.

  • BasicAuthProvider in ServiceStack

    - by Per
    I've got an issue with the BasicAuthProvider in ServiceStack. POST-ing to the CredentialsAuthProvider (/auth/credentials) is working fine. The problem is that when GET-ing (in Chrome): http://foo:pwd@localhost:81/tag/string/list the following is the result Handler for Request not found: Request.HttpMethod: GET Request.HttpMethod: GET Request.PathInfo: /login Request.QueryString: System.Collections.Specialized.NameValueCollection Request.RawUrl: /login?redirect=http%3a%2f%2flocalhost%3a81%2ftag%2fstring%2flist which tells me that it redirected me to /login instead of serving the /tag/... request. Here's the entire code for my AppHost: public class AppHost : AppHostHttpListenerBase, IMessageSubscriber { private ITagProvider myTagProvider; private IMessageSender mySender; private const string UserName = "foo"; private const string Password = "pwd"; public AppHost( TagConfig config, IMessageSender sender ) : base( "BM App Host", typeof( AppHost ).Assembly ) { myTagProvider = new TagProvider( config ); mySender = sender; } public class CustomUserSession : AuthUserSession { public override void OnAuthenticated( IServiceBase authService, IAuthSession session, IOAuthTokens tokens, System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary<string, string> authInfo ) { authService.RequestContext.Get<IHttpRequest>().SaveSession( session ); } } public override void Configure( Funq.Container container ) { Plugins.Add( new MetadataFeature() ); container.Register<BeyondMeasure.WebAPI.Services.Tags.ITagProvider>( myTagProvider ); container.Register<IMessageSender>( mySender ); Plugins.Add( new AuthFeature( () => new CustomUserSession(), new AuthProvider[] { new CredentialsAuthProvider(), //HTML Form post of UserName/Password credentials new BasicAuthProvider(), //Sign-in with Basic Auth } ) ); container.Register<ICacheClient>( new MemoryCacheClient() ); var userRep = new InMemoryAuthRepository(); container.Register<IUserAuthRepository>( userRep ); string hash; string salt; new SaltedHash().GetHashAndSaltString( Password, out hash, out salt ); // Create test user userRep.CreateUserAuth( new UserAuth { Id = 1, DisplayName = "DisplayName", Email = "[email protected]", UserName = UserName, FirstName = "FirstName", LastName = "LastName", PasswordHash = hash, Salt = salt, }, Password ); } } Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong with either the SS configuration or how I am calling the service, i.e. why does it not accept the supplied user/pwd? Update1: Request/Response captured in Fiddler2when only BasicAuthProvider is used. No Auth header sent in the request, but also no Auth header in the response. • How to post non-latin1 data to non-UTF8 site using perl?

    - by ZyX
    I want to post russian text on a CP1251 site using LWP::UserAgent and get following results: $text="??????? ?????"; FIELD_NAME => $text # result: ??? ?'???'???'?????????????? ?'?'?????????'???'?' $text=Encode::decode_utf8($text); FIELD_NAME => $text # result: ? ???????????? ?'???????' FIELD_NAME => Encode::encode("cp1251", $text) # result: ?????+?+?????? ???????+?? FIELD_NAME => URI::Escape::uri_escape_utf8($text) # result: D0%a0%d1%83%d1%81%d1%81%d0%ba%d0%b8%d0%b9%20%d1%82%d0%b5%d0%ba%d1%81%d1%82 How can I do this? Content-Type must be x-www-form-urlencoded. You can find similar form here, but there you can just escape any non-latin character using &#...; form, trying to escape it in FIELD_NAME results in 10561091108910891 10901077108210891 (every &, # and ; stripped out of the string).

  • Why i disconnect every few seconds? using USB wireless adapter

    - by Rev3rse
    i know it's for ubuntu questions..but mint and ubuntu are very similiar and i had the same problem with linux ubuntu too..so i think this is the right place for my question anyway i don't have experience with drivers and other things,after installing Linux on my machine( i did dist-upgrade btw) everything seem to be great because i didn't have to install any driver, after a while i realized that my connection stop after few minutes(actually it shows that I'm connected but it's not) so i have to reconnect and after few minutes it disconnect again. I'm using Alfa USB wireless adapter AWS036H, and my Linux version is 11 i think the driver i'm using is Realtek i searched in the Internet and i found nothing. these are some outputs of few things people usually ask for: Note: I'm NOT using a laptop. dmsg: [19445.604448] [UFW BLOCK] IN=wlan0 OUT= MAC=00:c0:ca:44:62:d1:00:24:c8:4b:46:e0:08:00 SRC=2.174.220.77 DST=192.168.1.6 LEN=52 TOS=0x00 • Evernote from vim

    - by juanpablo
    I search a way to edit evernote notes from vim I begin with this #!/bin/bash evernoteDir="$HOME/Library/Application*Support/Evernote/data" dataDir=$(ls -trlh $evernoteDir| tail -n 1| awk '{print $NF}') contentDir="$evernoteDir/$dataDir/content" file=$(ls -trlh $contentDir | tail -n 1| awk '{print $NF}') vim -c 's/div>/div>\r/g' $contentDir/$file/content.html https://gist.github.com/1256416 or maybe create a vim plugin for this ... you have any suggestion? EDIT: for a more simple edition of the evernote note in html format, I make this vim function " Markup function {{{ fun! MkdToHtml() "{{{ " markdown to html silent! execute '%s/ $/
/g' silent! execute '%s/\*\*\(.*\)\*\*/\1/g' silent! execute '%s/ *###\(.*\)/
\1
/g' endf "}}} command! -complete=command MkdToHtml call MkdToHtml() nn <silent> <leader>mm :MkdToHtml<CR> " }}} and a vim function for open the last note edited fun! LastEvernote() "{{{ " a better solution is with evernote api let evernoteDir=expand("$HOME")."/Library/Application*Support/Evernote/data" let dataDir=system("ls -trlh ".evernoteDir."| tail -n 1| awk '{print $NF}'") let contentDir=evernoteDir."/".dataDir."/content" let contentDir=substitute(contentDir,"
","",'g') let note=system("ls -trlh ".contentDir." | tail -n 1| awk '{print $NF}'") let note=substitute(note,"
","",'g') sil! exec 'sp '.contentDir.'/'.note.'/content.html' sil! exec '1s/>/>\r/g' sil! exec '%s/
/
\r/g' sil! exec '%s/<//\r<//g' sil! exec 'g/^\s*$/d' normal gg sil! exec '1,4fo' sil! exec '$-1,$fo' endf https://gist.github.com/1289727

  • GRUB doesn't recognize partitions on one harddisk

    - by knizz
    I have a dualboot computer with Windows Vista (on hd0) and Ubuntu 9.10. The bootloader is GRUB and the windows bootloader lets me decide between Vista and Ubuntu-Installation (broken WuBi). But now (i don't know why that changed) I can't use start the windows-bootloader anymore. I tried "ls" on the grub-prompt and it gave me a list like: (hd0) (hd1) (hd1,0) (hd1,1) (hd1,2) ... (fd0) It recognizes all partitions of hd1 (the ubuntu-harddisk) but not of hd0(the win-disk). .. WHY? Here is the result of the "boot info script" for the technical details: Boot Info Script 0.55 dated February 15th, 2010 ============================= Boot Info Summary: ============================== => Grub 2 is installed in the MBR of /dev/sda and looks for (UUID=a7c510e3-2399-437b-ab92-fa609e48d63f)/boot/grub. => No boot loader is installed in the MBR of /dev/sdb sda1: _________________________________________________________________________ File system: ntfs Boot sector type: Windows Vista/7 Boot sector info: No errors found in the Boot Parameter Block. • pound: multiple domains

    - by niklassaers
    Hi guys, I've been using pound to run mydomain.dk. Now I've bought some other domains and SSL certificates that are mydomain.no, mydomain.se and mydomain.eu. My old config looked roughly like this: ListenHTTPS Address 81.19.246.120 Port 443 Cert "/usr/local/etc/pound.keys/mydomain.dk.pem" Service BackEnd Address 10.0.10.10 Port 8080 End End End At places like here I've seen that I can use HeadRequire in the Service part, but I want the Host header to go together with the Cert, ideally something like ListenHTTPS Address 81.19.246.120 Port 443 HostAndCert "mydomain.dk" "/usr/local/etc/pound.keys/mydomain.dk.pem" HostAndCert "mydomain.se" "/usr/local/etc/pound.keys/mydomain.se.pem" HostAndCert "mydomain.no" "/usr/local/etc/pound.keys/mydomain.no.pem" HostAndCert "mydomain.eu" "/usr/local/etc/pound.keys/mydomain.eu.pem" Service BackEnd Address 10.0.10.10 Port 8080 End End End Any suggestions or clues to how I can accomplish this? Cheers Nik
