• How do I give a user permisson to view scheduled task history on Server 2008?

  I've set up a scheduled task on Server 2008 and want to run it as a user other than the local administrator. So I choose a domain account created specifically for this task and once I've closed the scheduled task and entered a valid password I want to run it and look a the history tab for this task. On the history tab I see: The user account does not have permission to view task history on this computer. What permission must I grant to allow this user to view history and/or how can I view the history as a local admin/domain admin instead of the user the job will run under? Steps to hopefully reproduce: I'm starting from the "Server Manager" - Configuration - Task Scheduler - Task Scheduler Library. IN the top middle pane I have tasks that have been running for several months as the local administrator. In the process of troubleshooting another issue I changed the task to run as Domain\ABCuser. Later in the process of troubleshooting I tried unchecking "run with highest privileges". I have since changed the job back to SERVERNAME\Administrator but the history tab still showed the permissions message. I may have had multiple Server Manager windows open. After Closing the Server Manager and being sure no other management consoles were open I was able to reopen the Server Manager and see the History tab without error. At this point the task works properly but should I ever need to run a task as a task specific account I'd like to know how to make the history viewable. It may be something as simple as closing all Server Manger windows to allow cached permissions to be refreshed the next time you open the Manager but at this point I don't know exactly what the solution is.

I searched for keywords and problems like mine but couldn't find anything about stopping the task from running. I've tried a lot of different aproaches but anything that could solve my problem entirely. For example, moving the code from DoSomething into a workers.Add(new Task(async () => { }, token)); would run the StartAllWorkers(), but the threads will never actually start. There is another method for calling the tokenSource.Cancel().

• How does Windows Task Scheduler detect that a task is already running?

  I have an application on Windows Server 2008 that takes different command-line parameters. For example: myapp.exe /A myapp.exe /B I have created a task scheduler task for each of those. While "myapp.exe /A" is running, I want to prevent another instance of it from starting. However, I still want "myapp.exe /B" to be able to run (again, though only one instance of it at a time). How can I set this up?

• Windows 7 Task Scheduler Hidden setting doesn't work

  I've got a daemon process that I run on my machine every hour, and even though I've checked the Hidden box, it doesn't work. Every hour, the task runs, but it shows the black command window, in which my .NET Console app is running. This stays visible until the task completes, and then disappears. This is very annoying, because it pops up and interrupts whatever I'm doing: I really do want it hidden, so how can I fix this?

  One of the problems that existed in the CTP3 edition of StreamInsight was an error that occurred if you tried to access the grouping key from within your projection expression. That was a real issue as you always need access to the key. It's a bit like using a GROUP BY in TSQL and then not including the columns you're grouping by in the SELECT clause. • Automatically create bug resolution task using the TFS 2010 API

  My customer requires bug resolution to be approved and tracked.  To minimize the overhead for developers I implemented a TFS 2010 server-side plug-in to automatically create a child resolution task for the bug when the “CCB” field is set to approved. The CCB field is a custom field.  I also added the story points field to the bug WIT for sizing purposes. Redundant tasks will not be created unless the bug title is changed or the prior task is closed. The program writes an audit trail to a log file visible in the TFS Admin Console Log view. • Ant task to pre-compile JSPs on weblogic server

  I am trying to create an ant task to compile JSPs.   I've been getting errors whenever I try to run the task scheduler for Windows 2008 R2. Each time that I've tried running it, the task scheduler will crash and report the following: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: mmc.exe Problem Signature 02: 6.1.7600.16385 Problem Signature 03: 4a5bc808 Problem Signature 04: System.Windows.Forms Problem Signature 05: 2.0.0.0 Problem Signature 06: 50c29e85 Problem Signature 07: 151f Problem Signature 08: 18 Problem Signature 09: Exception OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.16.7 Locale ID: 1033 I've been looking online but so far I keep finding mixed results on what could be the fix for this and was wondering if anyone here has ever ran into this issue before. I read that this issue could be because of Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2449742) and that by uninstalling it I would be able to fix this issue, however I was not able to locate this anywhere in the server. Here's the link if interested Patch wise, everything is up to date. Also, I tried running hotfix KB2688730 to see if that would work after doing some research online, however the hotfix is not applicable to the computer. If anyone could provide some information on how to fix this and get the task scheduler running again it would be extremely helpful!

  I'm looking for an algorithm in c# that solves a combinatorics problem: Assume i have the objects 1,2,3,4 I want to get all possible ways to group these object in multiple groups, that each time contain all objects. Order is not important. Example: <1,2,3,4 <1,2 / 3,4 <1,3 / 2,4 <1,4 / 3,2 <1,2,3 / 4 <1,2,4 / 3 <1,3,4 / 2 <2,3,4 / 1 <1 / 2 / 3 / 4 In the first case there is one group that contain all 4 objects. Next are cases with 2 groups that contain all objects in many different ways. The last case is 4 groups, that each one contains only one object.

• grouping draggable objects with jquery-ui draggable

  Hello, I want to use jquery draggable/droppable to let the user select a group of objects (each one has a checkbox in the corner) and then drag all the selected objects as a group... I can't figure out for the life of me how to do it haha. Here is what I'm thinking will lead to a usable solution, on each draggable object, use the start() event and somehow grab all the other selected objects and add them to the selection I was also considering just making the dragged object look like a group of objects (they're images, so a pile of photos maybe) for performance reasons.   Hello! I write a simple OLAP viewer for my web-site. Here are the classes (abstract example): Employee { ID; Name; Roles[]; //What Employee can do } Order { Price; Employee Manager; Employee Executive; //Maybe wrong english. The person which perform order } Employee can be Manager and Executive in the order at the same time. This means that Employee role is not fixed. I have to group orders by employees and finally get IGrouping with Employee key. So .GroupBy(el=new {el.Manager,el.Executive}) is not allowed. I considered some tricks with IEqualityComparable, but found no solution. If somrbody will help I'll be vary glad, thank you.

  Hi! Im using the WPF-Toolkit DataGrid with an CollectionViewSource as Source. With PropertyGroupDescriptions I can create and display groups in the Grid. My problem is that i cannot create "uneven" groups, like: A A.A A.B B B.A B.B B.B.A B.B.B C D I want some groups that are deeper than other, and some, that are only elements (C and D) and no groups. I hope it is undestandable... Has someone an idea to solve this? Thanks!

For example, the following record means that 5 units of model 1 have been sent form warehouse 1 to 2: source target model units ------ ------ ----- ----- 1 2 1 5 I am trying to build a SQL query to obtain the difference between units sent and received, grouped by models.   Hi All I have a report that groups by Company names. I have 2 formula fields (for two of the columns) that pulls the last record from a field. However, i noticed that when i run my reports, it does not show the last record for every group (even though this total line is in the Group Footer). Is there anyway in the formula field, i can specify that the last record must show for every group in my report?

  I'm using a Collection View Source to group my data. In my data, I have Property1 and Property2 that I'm needing to group on. The only stipulation is that I don't want sub-groups of another group. So, when I group by these two properties, I don't want to have it so that Property2 because a subgroup of Property1's group. I want it to show the ProductNames in custom order(defined by me).Like, ProductNo5 in 3rd column, ProductNo8 in 4th column, ProductNo1 in 5th column ... and so on!

• Wordpress page grouping

  Is there any way to group/folder my pages in Wordpress. Pages as in pages, not posts. In case I'm using it as a CMS and have, say, 200 pages. 10 main pages and the rest are all sub-pages. It'd be really inconvenient to see all the pages as a one huge lists. I know I could use posts and categories, as I won't be needing the blog functionality anyway, and even if I did need it, I could make it work anyway. Thing is, I'd lose a bit functionality this way and it's unfortunately not an option for me. I have looked around and Googled but so far with no results. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has come to wonder about that.
