    I am attempting to build this example. However I am getting the error error MSB8020: The builds tools for WindowsApplicationForDrivers8.1 (Platform Toolset = 'WindowsApplicationForDrivers8.1') cannot be found. To build using the WindowsApplicationForDrivers8.1 build tools, either click the Project menu or right-click the solution, and then select "Update VC++ Projects...". Install WindowsApplicationForDrivers8.1 to build using the WindowsApplicationForDrivers8.1 build tools. I have already installed WDK 8.1 .exe andwhen I right click on the solution I cant find any thing that states "Update VC++ Projects" Any suggestions on how I may resolve this issue and build it. ? I am running Windows 7 and VS2012 Pro.

Any one here to share their experiences working with Microsoft DSL Toolkit and T4? Also, any pointers to open source DSL projects will help - Eg. Microsoft Service Factory modeling edition is heavily relying on DSL toolkit. As OSLO/Quadrant will take some time to get released, I think the only option we have is to rely on Microsoft DSL designer.     Hey all, I'm trying to use SubWCRev to get the current revision number of our SVN repository and put it in a file so I can show it in the UI. As I'm working with a Web App, I use the following post build command line: "SubWCRev.exe" "$(SolutionDir)." "$(ProjectDir)Content\js\revnumber.js.tpl" "$(ProjectDir)Content\js\revnumber.js" It works great, but now I want to make sure I have SubWCRev before running it, so I can skip this post build if a fellow developer is not running TortoiseSVN. I tried a few batch codes here, but couldn't figure this out. Any ideas? Thanks!

    I'm trying to install libjpeg on os X to fix a problem with the Python Imaging Library JPEG setup. I downloaded libjpeg from http://www.ijg.org/files/jpegsrc.v7.tar.gz I then began to setup the config file cp /usr/share/libtool/config.sub . cp /usr/share/libtool/config.guess . ./configure –enable-shared However, the enable-shared flag didn't seem to work. $ ./configure –-enable-shared configure: WARNING: you should use --build, --host, --target configure: WARNING: invalid host type: –-enable-shared checking build system type... Invalid configuration `–-enable-shared': machine `–-enable' not recognized configure: error: /bin/sh ./config.sub –-enable-shared failed I've done lot's of google searches and I can't figure out where the error is or how to work around this error.

  • Are there cross-platform tools to write XSS attacks directly to the database?

    I've recently found this blog entry on a tool that writes XSS attacks directly to the database. It looks like a terribly good way to scan an application for weaknesses in my applications. I've tried to run it on Mono, since my development platform is Linux. Unfortunately it crashes with a System.ArgumentNullException deep inside Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary and I seem to be unable to find sufficient information about the software (it seems to be a single-shot project, with no homepage and no further development). Is anyone aware of a similar tool? Preferably it should be: cross-platform (Java, Python, .NET/Mono, even cross-platform C is ok) open source (I really like being able to audit my security tools) able to talk to a wide range of DB products (the big ones are most important: MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, ...)

    Hi folks, I'm wanting to make some yee-run-o-the-mill tutorial video's about some programming concepts and stuff i've been doing. Nothing special ... lots of peeps been doing it. What tools are people using to record and edit these videos? What resolutions / fonts / sizes do people generally use/set? The only tool I've had experience with is Camtasia - and i didn't mind it. But i've seen vid's (or live demo's) where people zoom in to code sections.. how do they do that? For final editing, do most people just do some simple power point presentation with some video snippets mashed in. cheers!

    Every night a new build of my program is made and copied to a /Builds/ folder. I have a Windows machine that I want to have uninstall the program then install the latest version of the program from the /Builds/ folder. Currently the build results in two separate setup.exe files which are InstallShield installation wizard executables. I want this to happen every night after the build finishes: Uninstall first component. Uninstall second component. Install newest build of first component using setup.exe. Install newest build of second component using setup.exe. I figured that there probably already exists a software solution for automating installations like this. Are there any software solutions out there than can do what I need? Preferrably for free?

    Minification and Concatination of JavaScript and CSS Files Versioning Combined Files Using Subversion Versioning Combined Files Using Mercurial – this post I have worked on a project recently where there was a need to version the system (library dll, css and javascript files) by date and Mercurial revision number. This was in the format:- 0.12.524.407 {major}.{year}.{month}{date}.{mercurial revision} Each time there is an internal build using the CI server, it would label the files using this format. When it came time to do a major release, it became v1.{year}.{month}{date}.{mercurial revision}, with each public release having a major version increment. Also as a requirement, each assembly also had to have a new GUID on each build. So like in previous posts, we need to edit the csproj file, and add a couple of Default targets. 1: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> 2: <Project ToolsVersion="4.0" DefaultTargets="Hg-Revision;AssemblyInfo;Build" 3: xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/developer/msbuild/2003"> 4: <PropertyGroup> Right below the closing tag of the entire project we add our two targets, the first is to get the Mercurial revision number.
