I am looking to increase the size of my iPad simulator when it is fired up on my mac, how would I go about doing this?
The size of the simulator right now is very very small, I can't even see the text on it!
I've recently refactored an existing CodeIgniter application to use url segments instead of query strings, and I'm using a rewriterule in htaccess to rewrite stuff to index.php:
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php/$1 [L]
My problem right now is that a lot of this website's pages are indexed by google with a link to index.php. Since I made the change…
I've been looking around for this for a long time but can never seem to find it in the Android documentation. There's all sorts of advanced things I see, but I can never find any solid documentation - there's the shapes package, but it provides no insight on how to use them in xml. The best I can do so far is finding other people's examples.

I have one workbook with several sheets. I populate the listboxes (pulling static data from cells) on the 2nd sheet, click a button and it runs fine.
When I populate the listboxes with a named range, the listbox populates the way I want, but I get an error because the code thinks that I didn't select anything in the listbox, even though I did.…
In my ASP.NET application, I need to be able to authenticate/authorise against local Windows users/groups (ie. not Active Directory) on a different machine, as well as be able to change the passwords of said remote local Windows accounts.
Yes, I know Active Directory is built for this sort of thing, but unfortunately the higher ups have…
Hi all,
I am planning on doing a database deployment script for sql server 2005.
Currently we have a tool that will run all of the tables, foreign keys, indexes and then data, each of which is located in a separate file with a certain extension (eg. tab, .kci, .fky) and the tool just runs *.tab, *.kci, *.fky into the db etc.
Could I…

I'm in this project:
A web page that's gonna be used by the front-end company people to query and update data from a SQL DB.
I'm working with visual studio and the code behind (C#) is almost done, so the interactions between SQL and C# and ok.
My original idea was to work with ASP.NET which is familiar to me, but that's not gonna…

Do web frameworks and web servers (e.g. Apache, Nginx, Django) handle these requests differently?

I have a file descriptor that is open for reading which may be non-blocking. What I need to do is simply read all data until reaching EOF and write that data to a writable file descriptor. As the process that performs this copying is not "aware"…
I have a rails app that is working fine except for one thing.
When I request something that doesn't exist (i.e. /not_a_controller_or_file.txt) and rails throws a "No Route matches..." exception, the response is this (blank line intentional):

Yesterday I was thinking about whether it would be possible to use the convenience of C++0x lambda functions to write callbacks for Windows API functions.
For example, what if I wanted to use a lambda as an EnumChildProc with…
