  • How to build javascript ad rotator?

    I have a blog aggregator with many contributing blogs. I would like to distribute a snippet of javascript that contributors could place on their blogs. After placement the javascript would load a link and image that would point to the aggregator -- very much the same way that Google Adsense works but on a simpler and smaller scale. Can anyone provide or direct me to some sample code? Any help is much appreciated.

  • Need help with tweaking a Dropdown with three options, user selects one - a hidden div appears with correct fields

    Hello Again, I posted a question on here and got an answer within minutes I'm hoping the wizards on here can help me again. Okay so I'm using a script I found online to try and add this function to a shopping cart form. Here's the setup. I have a payment method dropdown with Visa, Mastercard and Bank Withdrawal as the options. For the credit cards I have one hidden div with a certain set of fields, and for the bank I have another hidden div. I can open the dropdown and select Visa and it appears, if I select Visa again it disappears, if I select Visa and then select bank, both appear.     How can I programmatically retrieve the current connection type (eg. LAN or Direct connection)? InternetGetConnectedState() isn't very reliable. For instance, I'm connected to a wireless network, but ConTypeRet is 18, which is INTERNET_CONNECTION_LAN & INTERNET_RAS_INSTALLED. Isn't there any way to make sure that ConTypeRet is either INTERNET_CONNECTION_LAN or INTERNET_CONNECTION_MODEM?

    I know I can pass a function pointer as a template parameter and get a call to it inlined but I wondered if any compilers these days can inline an 'obvious' inline-able function like: inline static void Print() { std::cout << "Hello\n"; } .... void (*func)() = Print; func(); Under Visual Studio 2008 its clever enough to get it down to a direct call instruction so it seems a shame it can't take it a step further?

I want to reduce the number of triangle without affecting shape of object. for eg, I have two triangles, (1,1.5,2) (1.5,1.5,2) (1.7,2,2) (1.5,1.5,2) (1.7,2,2) (2,1.5,2) In this case these two triangle is same as a single triangle - (1,1.5,2) (2,1.5,2) (1.7,2,2) I dont want the manual method, But if there is any direct function or such thing which will reduce my triangle list. An incomplete solution would be just to remove the "delete" and "edit" buttons from the index view, but that doesn't disable their ability to do so via direct HTTP requests. I thought I recalled a way to inject privileged members into a function/object (and found an overwhelming occurrence of "no such thing as private in JS") and yet I can't find any resources indicating how.     I have three date ranges in mysql table as follow from 2013-09-29 to 2013-10-02 from 2013-10-14 to 2013-10-16 from 2013-10-28 to 2013-11-05 I want to count only days that occur in Month of October, for example from first range (2013-09-29 to 2013-10-02) I should get difference of two days (1st and 2nd October) , and it should ignore days from September month, Finally i want to count total days in a given month from above date ranges. Can it be done from direct mysql query. or any short PHP logic.

    I've just published my site, created with codeigniter. the entire directory is in my public folder, including the config file (in public/system/application/config). I just wanted to double check: do I have to move this file to another, non public, directory? I think codeigniter doesn't allow any direct access, but I am not 100% sure.. thanks, P.

    Open App.Path & "\Folder\" & str(0) For Output Seems to get a path not found however if directly before that I do MsgBox App.Path & "\Folder\" & str(0) It Provides the correct directory/filename that I want and if I replace that string with the direct path in quotes it works fine however that won't be very good for other users of my app :( Anyone know why this doesn't work?

    I was always using the direct Add to Page Tab URL like this: http://www.facebook.com/dialog/pagetab?app_id=238557109577754&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com And today that URL gives me "Sorry, something went wrong.". Did something changed on Facebook side? Or is it a temporary bug? Note that I have tried other redirect_uri params, such as the URL of the location where the app is hosted. It does always result in the same error.

    Hi, is it possible to have the controller value in a rails named route as a parameter, which I can pass at runtime to direct the call to the proper controller? e.g. map.ride 'ride' ,:controller = {some-way-of-specifying-a-parameter}, :action = 'ride' then at runtime, I want to pass the controller name to which this call should be going. My actions are doing different things depending to which controller the call gets sent. thanks
